I. Introduction
===============================================================================
The year was 1987. The Legend of Zelda makes it to the shores of the United
States and people couldn't be happier. Lol, okay, I was only 2 years old on this
year, so I don't know how people reacted in specifics. I do know however that
since it's debut in America in 1987 (and in Japan in 1986), the Legend of
Zelda became one of the BIGGEST gaming names in the history of videogame
history. Up there with the Marios, the Sonics, and the Final Fantasies, the
Legend of Zelda series is somewhat of a household name now.

The following information in this section of the entire walkthrough of the
Zelda Collector's Edition, contains all the info you need for the very first
game of this extremely popular series.

The game starts when the evil Wizard Ganon (or Gannon as it is misprinted on
the intro), the holder of the Triforce of Power, kidnaps Princess Zelda, who
holds the Triforce of Wisdom. It is believed that whoever gets both Triforces
will rule the land of Hyrule. Fearing this would happen, Zelda split that
Triforce of Wisdom into 8 shards and hid them throughout Hyrule. She had her
most trusted servant, Impa, find a man with the courage to retrieve the 8
pieces of the Triforce and defeat Ganon. Impa found a child named Link, who
was skilled with a sword, to find those pieces and rescue Zelda.

...And thus the legend began.

II. Quest 1 Walkthrough
===============================================================================
This walkthrough will be detailed and will contain crude maps to make things
somewhat easier. Below here is the map of Hyrule. I will only place this map
here once, so use this map if you ever get lost. Now to read a map location,
go across the map to the letter and then down to the number. For example, the
game's starting point is at H-8. Below the Map Legend is the shop lists. Use
this to your advantage.

During the walkthrough you will find maps of the dungeon. They will have a
different Map Legend than this map does.

a. A Little Hunting
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First thing's first, go into the cave right from the start to pick up the
Wooden Sword. If I get e-mails about what to do from the very beginning of a
16+ year old game I'm gonna scream. You can easily use the sword with the A
button. It's THAT simple.

Try to keep your hearts full at ALL times. There will be times later when
you'll need real close combat, but for now, the monsters in Hyrule are not
immune to your zap.

This is the time when you'll want to do a little hunting for both money and
the rare Bomb drops. Just wander around fighting Octoroks, Moblins, Tektites,
and the like. Remember that you have a shield, and it WILL block rocks and
arrows shot at you as long as you DON'T swing your sword as they are coming
at you. Keep this in mind at all time.

When you have some Bombs, go to L-8 (use the map above). Look at the pathway
going upwards. Bomb the wall to the left of it (about two tiles, you should
easily be able to count the tiles, since this is an 8-bit game). There will
be a door there. Go inside and grab your first Heart Container (or be a loser
and grab the Red Medicine, but NEVER do that. Take the Heart Container).

Now that you have that piece, go to M-3. There should be a huge rock with a
bunch of Tektites jumping around. Kill the tektites and bomb the right side
of the rock. Enter the door and grab your 2nd Heart Container!

One more item that will be vital to you is the Letter. The Letter can easily
be found in O-1. You WILL need this if you want to buy Medicine.

Now you are ready to do some damage. Time to find the White Sword. From the
big rock you went to find the 2nd Heart Container, go up and left twice
and up again. This will bring you to the lake above the waterfall with a Blue
Lynel. Be VERY careful around him and enter the cave. If you have 5 Hearts,
then you can take the White Sword, which is twice as strong as your Wooden
Sword.

Now you want some money. You can either fight forever for it or find some
places where there are free money for grabs. Remember that you can only hold
255 Rupees at a time. There are three places with real big bucks. To get the
first one, go to P-2. The cave here doesn't lead to it, but if you go on the
right side of the cave and go straight up, you'll find a secret passage to
P-1 and the first set of 100 rupees.

Now that you have over 100 Rupees, head to G-7 (one area up and left of the
starting point). Enter the cave and buy the Blue Candle for 60 rupees.

Now your goal is to get 250 rupees! From the cave you got the Blue Candle in,
go right 4 screens until you come to an area that is split down the middle by
a row of bushes. Use the Blue Candle and burn the 3rd bush from the top of
the row down the middle to reveal a stairwell to another 100 rupees. Once you
have that, go up one screen and left. Kill the Moblins and burn the lower
right-hand corner bush in the series of 8 in the middle. This will lead to
30 rupees.

Hopefully by now you'll have enough Rupees. If you don't, use the map above
to find areas with 10 or 30 Rupees each. Don't go to the one in L-7 yet (you
might need that in a bit). Remember that you may have to bomb or burn something
in order to find the cave. Once you have 250 Rupees, go to E-4. Kill the
Leevers and push on the middle-upper Armos to bring it to live and reveal a
shop. Here you want to buy the Blue Ring. BUY IT NOW!!! This will halve all
damage done to you. VERY handy.

Now there is only two things left to do before you go to level 1. There is
still one more Heart Container that you can get. At H-5 there is an area that
borders the lake and has a row of bushes at the bottom. Burn the 5th bush from
the right to reveal the cave with the 3rd Heart Container.

The final thing to do is to get the Arrow while you're here. Go to L-7 and
kill the monsters. Take the Blue Candle. The cave under the 3rd bush from the
left on the center clump of bushes (the bottom set). Take the 100 rupees from
there. Now from that screen, go left 2 screens, up 2, and right 1 screen.
Kill the Tektites and enter the shop. Buy the Arrow for 80 rupees. You don't
have the Bow yet, but you'll get it soon.

Before moving on, make sure you have the following:
White Sword
Arrow
Bombs
Letter
Blue Candle
Blue Ring
6 Hearts

One could get the Power Bracelet right around now, but I'll explain how to
get that later.

Level 1 can easily be found at H-4.

S- Big Monster G- Hungry Monster

Here's a trick. Once you enter the dungeon, exit and enter again. The locked
door up top will be open. The secret I use in this game is to NOT go into
rooms that you don't need to go into. Stock as many keys as you can without
having to use them unless you need to. Remember that Keys can be bought in
the Shop for 80 or 100 rupees, but for 20 rupees you can buy FOUR bombs. I
don't know how many times I've been stuck in this game because I ran out of
keys before I could get the Magic Key. So hold onto what keys you have, even
if it means you'll end up losing them later.

Your starting point is at C-6. Go to the rooms to the left and right to grab
keys. Return to C-6 and go up twice. Grab the key from that room and go left.
Kill the Keese and grab the Compass. Return to the last room and bomb the
upper wall (this is how you save your keys, by finding walls to bomb).

Grab the Map and go up. Kill the Stalfos for the key and unlock the upper door.
Kill the Goriyas there to get another key. Open the door to the left. Avoid
the moving spike traps and push the left most block up or down to open the
path to the stairs. Go down and grab the Bow! You can now use that item, but
remember that when you shoot an arrow, you lose 1 rupee. Exit back.

Go back to the room where you got the Compass. Bomb the upper wall to save
yourself a Key. Kill the monsters to obtain the Boomerang. This item is handy
to have as it can stun some enemies. Go right. Stay AWAY from the walls, but
quickly grab the key. Kill the Wallmasters if you wish, but unlock the upper
door and face your first boss, Aquamentus.

-Aquamentus-

Aquamentus is extremely easy. If your life is full, head to the far left wall
and just shoot at his head with your sword. Else just go in for the kill and
watch out for his magic. Reward yourself with a heart, then go right to get
the first piece of the Triforce.

Level 2 can be found at M-4. The best way to get there is to go to the
Huge Rock where you got the Heart Container, then go right 1 screen, down 2,
left 1, and up 1 screen.

Here is where you can save yourself some Keys as well. From the entrance go
up. Kill the Ropes and go left. Kill the Ropes again and grab the key. Now
go right 2 rooms and down one. Grab the Key there and go up 3 rooms, killing
the Goriyas and Ropes (the room with the Ropes has the Key). Now go right.

Kill the Blue Goriyas and grab the Magical Boomerang! This version will
replace the normal Boomerang and can fly across the entire room. Bomb the
lower wall to the next room. Grab the Map and bomb the lower wall again to the
room with the Compass.

Go up two rooms and bomb the upper wall this time. There are Bombs in this
room, but don't grab them yet unless you have 4 Bombs or less (here's a tip:
never grab the Bombs that are set in rooms unless you have room for all 4 of
them, else you'll be wasting some.) Go left and kill the Moldorms for another
Key. Go back right and bomb the upper wall (grab the bombs if you can). Kill
the Gels to get 5 Rupees. Go up, listen to the old man, then bomb the left
wall. Kill the Goriyas to open the door. Ignore the bombs for now unless you
can use them. Go up.

-Dodongo-

Dodongo is tricky to kill, since he can only be defeated by Bombs. Get close
to it and set a bomb right in front of his walking path (make sure he walks
onto the bomb, because he'll eat it. Wait for his "gut" to explode and when he
makes a move again, set another bomb. When he eats it, he'll die. Grab the
Heart Container and go back and grab any bombs you left behind. Go left from
here to grab the Triforce Piece.

If you did things right here, you shouldn't have used a single key.

This Level is a bit harder, since this level introduces the Darknuts (the guys
with Shields and Swords). From the entrance go left. Kill the Zols and grab
the Key. Go up two rooms until you see the Darknuts. You can't kill them from
the front, you have to go to the sides of them and attack. There are bombs in
this room, but don't take them yet. Go left. Grab the Compass and unlock the
door to your left.

Kill the Darknuts to open the door going down. Go down and take the stairs,
avoiding the Darknuts if you can. Grab the Raft in the basement, then head
back up. If you want some bombs, kill the Darknuts now. Else go up two
rooms and grab the Key.

Make your way back to C-4. Go up and kill the Zols to get a Key. Don't bother
unlocking any of the doors. Go back down and bomb the wall to the right. Enter
the room and kill the Darknuts. Go up and grab the Map. Now bomb the wall to
the right. This will take you to the boss, Manhandla.

-Manhandla-

Manhandla is pretty tough. It has 4 hands and you have to take out each one.
But as each one dies, Manhandla gets faster. It takes two stabs with the White
Sword to kill one head. However, there is a super easy way to kill this beast.
Set a bomb near it's center while it has all 4 heads. When the bomb explodes,
it will take out all of its heads and kill it (hopefully). Whatever is left
just stab away with if the bomb doesn't kill it. Take the Heart Container and
go back and get your bombs if you need to fill up on them. Grab the Triforce
in the next room up to end this level.

will use the Raft to get him to Level 4. Note that it is possible to get
another Heart Container right now, but you won't need it on this level.

Map Legend:
^v<>- Unlocked Doors !- Information
E- Entrance 1-9- Stairs
B- Bombable Walls C- Compass
F- False Walls H- Heart/Boss

X- Bombs D- Dark Room
S- Big Monster G- Hungry Monster

You're gonna start needing to use the Blue Candle a lot here to light up the
dark rooms. From the entrance go left and grab the Key, then go back and up.
Kill the Vires and unlock the door to the left to get the Compass in the dark
room. Go back left and up. Take the Key and go left. Light up the room, kill
the monsters, then go up again. Light up again and grab the Key. Go up one
more time.

Now you'll kinda be forced to go one way. A small water hole stops you from
going up. Light up the room, kill what you can, then unlock the door to the
right. Kill all of the Vires and Keese and go right. Take out the Like Likes
and Zols now. Push the left block to reveal a stairway to the Ladder! Grab it!

Go back upstairs. Go left two screens (don't unlock the door going up in the
middle room). You will now know that with the Ladder you can cross bodies of
water. Now you can get across the water that stopped you before. Go up and
unlock the door. Go left and light up the room. Grab the Map and bomb the
upper wall. This room "doesn't exist", but it's full of rupees for you to
grab (if you don't need it, don't grab it, save it for when you do) (and just
so you know, this "invisible" room is at B-2).

From the room with all the rupees, bomb the upper wall and grab the Key. Go
back down and bomb the left wall. Kill the Vires and push the left block. Go
right to the boss, Gleeok.

-Gleeok-

Gleeok is a tough dragon to kill. This version is easier since it only has two
heads, but future versions will be tougher. Hopefully your hearts are full.
If they are, stand back and zap at its heads. Else go in and start stabbing
away, watching out for its magic. When a head is dead, it will break away and
start flying, trying to hit you with itself and magic. Take out the 2nd head
to get the Heart Container and the 4th Piece of the Triforce!

f. A little More Hunting
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You've now completed 1/2 of the Triforce of Wisdom. Now it's time to stop and
get some things together. From Level 4, take the raft back down. Go down one
more screen then right. Enter the cave and show the woman inside the Letter.
Now you can buy some Medicine. ALWAYS buy the Red Medicine, and only buy when
you have none. The Red Medicine can be used to restore your life completely
two times, and it doesn't even cost twice as much as the Blue Medicine.

Now that you have that, make your way ALL the way to the right side of Hyrule.
At P-6 are two platforms, one having a Heart Container. Use the Ladder to cross
the platforms to get the Heart Container.

Now from there go up two screens and take the Raft upwards to a cave with the
final Heart Container in Hyrule (but not the ones in the Underworld).

Now with 12 Heart Containers, you are ready to get the Magic Sword, which is
twice as powerful as the White Sword. Before you do that though, take the
raft back to land and start making your way left, up, and left some more (past
the desert and to one screen directly above Level 1. Go up to H-2 and use the
Ladder to cross the river to the other side. Go left 2 screens, down 1, and
left one. You should see an area with no monsters and 10 Armos Statues (this is
at E-3). Move the upper-right Armos to receive the Power Bracelet. Now that
you have it, you can find 4 special warp zones and warp to different places
all over Hyrule (look for the T on the overworld map above).

From the area with the Power Bracelet, go left 1 screen, down 1 screen, and
right until you are at the graveyard. Go up to B-3. There should be a 4x3
area of Gravestones. Move the 3rd one from the left on the middle row upwards
to reveal a stairwell to the Magic Sword. With 12 Hearts, you can grab the
sword. Now you have the POWER!

Two more things to do. Time to get the Magic Shield and Enemy Bait. At G-5
there is a shop under the corner bush (burn it) that sells Magic Shields for
90 rupees. Grab one. Also, Enemy Bait is best bought at E-4 (where you bought
the Blue Ring). It is 60 rupees there. Buy it.

Now just fight around until you get a little over 100 rupees. You'll need it.

By now you should have the following:
Magical Boomerang
Bombs
Bow & Arrow
Blue Candle
Red Medicine
Enemy Bait
Blue Ring
Raft
Ladder
Magic Sword
Magical Shield
Power Bracelet
11 Keys
100+ Rupees
12 Hearts

g. Level 5: The Lizard
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 5 is a bit tricky to get to. You have to go to L-2 (near where you got
the White Sword). From L-2, go up. You'll find you're still in the same spot.
Go up again, then again, a total of 4 times. You will now finally reach Level
5.

Keep a note that this is when levels START to get harder. If you see arrows
pointing in the same direction for doors, that means that it is only a one
way door. (for example, if you see >> instead of ><, it means you can only
use that door going right, but not back left.

The level isn't too hard, but there are a couple of things you have to do
before fighting the boss. Go right and grab the Key by killing the Pol Voices
with Arrows. Go back to the entrance then up. Kill the Gibdos in the dark
room for a Key. Bomb the wall to your left. Kill the Gibdos for more bombs,
then bomb the wall to the left. Kill the Blue Darknuts (two shots with your
Magic Sword) and push the left block up or down to take the stairs.

The stairs will lead you to C-1 (follow the numbers on the map). Unlock the
door at the bottom. Grab the key and bomb the wall to the right. If you have
100 Rupees on you (and you had better), you can upgrade your bomb capacity to
12 Bombs! Make sure you get this now, as it will fill up your bombs as well!
Go back to the stairs, but don't go down them yet. Unlock the door to the left
and kill the Blue Darknuts. Push the block and go down the stairs to get the
Recorder.

Make your way back to C-7. Go up and you will see 3 Dodongos this time. Use
the same strategy you used in Level 3 and you shouldn't have any problem
killing them, especially with 12 bombs. Grab the bombs after you kill them.
Go left and kill the Zols to get your key. Go back right and unlock the door
going up to get the Map, then go back down.

You should be back at C-6. Go right to the dark room and kill the Zols for 5
rupees. Go up and kill the Gibdos for the Key. Go up again and kill the
Darknuts for the Compass. Go up one more and grab the Key. Unlock the door to
the left. Kill the Gibdos and grab the next key. Keep going left. Kill the
Pol Voices and unlock the left door to meet the boss, Digdogger!

-Digdogger-

Got the Recorder? Use it now! That is the only way to beat him. Once you use
it, Digdogger will shrink. Now it's easy pickings. Hit him twice with your
Magic Sword and he'll die, leaving the Heart Container. Go up and grab the
Piece of the Triforce.

S- Big Monster G- Hungry Monster

This is by far the hardest level in this quest (aside from Death Mountain).
Make sure you have the Magical Shield.

From the entrance, go right. Kill the Wizzrobes (stay clear of their magic)
and grab the Key. Go left two rooms and up one. Grab the Compass and go up.
Kill the Keese to reveal the Key and open the door. Go up until you reach
A-4.

Now the fun really begins. The Wizzrobes will now be both Blue and Orange,
but the Blue Ones are very deadly as they can move. Try to kill them from the
side and stay clear of their magic. Also don't let the Like Likes start to
eat you, else you'll lose your Magical Shield. Push the left block to
continue. Go up and avoid the Wizzrobes if you can (because it takes 3 hits
to kill them with your Magic Sword). Bomb the wall to your right.

Take the Key and unlock the door going up. Grab the Map after killing the
monsters and go right. Grab the Key and go up. Kill the Zols and Like Likes
and bomb the wall to the left. Kill the Wizzrobes and push the left block to
reveal a stairway to the Magic Wand. This item will be handy to have when you
don't have full life and wish to attack from afar. It does about as much
damage as the White Sword, but can still be handy.

Make your way back to B-3. Go down into the dark room. Kill the Vires with
your Magic Sword (any other attack will cause it to split into two Keese).
Go right. Kill the monsters and push the block to reveal the stairs. Take
them to F-2.

Once at F-2, kill the Like Likes and Zols. Go down and kill the Vires to get
the Key. Go left. Ignore the Wizzrobes if you can. Equip your Bow and Arrow
and unlock the door going up to the boss.

-Gohma-

Ready? Aim? FIRE! Once you enter the room, just shoot your arrow and you'll
most likely hit Gohma right in the eye, killing it. Else just avoid it's
magic and wait for it's eye to open for you to shoot it with your arrow. It's
really not that hard. Take the Heart Container and go up to grab the 6th
Piece of the Triforce.

This level isn't anywhere near as hard as Level 6. Go up and kill the Goriyas.
Before you get the bombs, bomb the upper and left walls. Go left and kill the
Keese to reveal more bombs. Don't pick them up unless you need them. Go down
and kill the Ropes for a Key. Go up two rooms and you'll face 3 Dodongos.
Feed them bombs (go back for the bombs you left behind if you need more) and
unlock the door going up. Here you can upgrade your bomb capacity to 16, but
you must pay 100 rupees. Do so to obtain 16 bombs.

Go back down and right a room. Kill the Goriyas and go right. Kill the Stalfos
for the Compass, then go back left and up. Kill the monsters to open the
door, then go up again. Here you'll see another Digdogger. You don't have
to fight him, though remember if you do to use the Recorder. Bomb the wall
to the right and fight the Moldorms to gain a Key.

GO left two rooms and kill the Goriyas for 5 Rupees. Unlock the door going up.
Now you'll be in a room with the Hungry Monster. Use the Enemy Bait on him
and he will disappear, allowing you to pass. Go up, light up the room, grab
the Map, and bomb the upper wall. Here you can grab more rupees. Bomb the right
wall and go through it. Kill the monsters for the Rupees, then go right again
to get the key. Go back left.

You should be at B-1. Go down and kill the Goriyas. Bomb the wall to the
right and go through it. Kill the monsters and push the left block to open
the stairway to the Red Candle. This version is much better than the Blue
Candle because you can use it over and over again in the same room. Quite
good if you want to create a fire barrier to stop monsters from reaching you.

Go back upstairs and bomb the wall to the right. Kill the Goriyas for the
bombs, then unlock the door to the right. Now you HAVE to face the Digdoggers.
Use the Recorder and waste the 3 smaller forms that it breaks into. Go up
once the door opens.

Now you'll see 3 Dodongos. Don't bother fighting them. It's a waste of bombs
and you gain nothing from it. Bomb the right wall. Be very careful in this
room. There are Wallmasters that come out of the wall. If they grab you, they
will take you ALL the way back to the entrance. Stay close to the wall and
zap them when the come out, watching out for the Bubbles. Once you've killed
the 4 of them, push the middle block on the right side and the stairs will
open to B-3. Kill the monsters and bomb the right wall to face your boss.

-Aquamentus-

This is even easier than before. Just zap him about 2 times with your Magic
Sword and he's gone. If your life is low for some reason, use the Magic Wand
on him and in 3 hits, he's toast. Grab the Heart Container and go left to get
the 7th Piece of the Triforce.

S- Big Monster G- Hungry Monster

The level is a bit harder, but nowhere near as hard as Level 6. If you have
been collecting keys, then you can make this real quick. From the entrance,
go left. Kill the Manhandla for the rupees and to open the door. Go left. Kill
the monsters and push the left block to make a path to the stairs where you
can get the Magic Book! With this, you will now shoot beams of fire at your
enemies (this can also light up a room, so your Red Candle may not be used
so much now.

Make your way back to the entrance. If you've been following my guide, you
shouldn't need to get any more keys. If you do though just take and use the
map. Go up and kill the Manhandla again. Bomb the upper wall and go up. Kill
the Darknuts here and unlock the door going right for the Compass. Go back
left and up. Avoid the monsters if you can, just unlock the door and go up.
Again, just avoid the monsters and bomb the upper wall.

Kill the Manhandla in this room now for the Map. Bomb the wall to the left to
collect many rupees, then go up and kill the Pol Voices. Bomb the wall to the
right and grab the bombs that the Pol Voices dropped.

Now you'll be faced with a Blue Gohma. This isn't as easy as the last one, as
you will now need to shoot it in the eye with your arrows 3 times. Once you
kill it, go right. Kill all the monsters and push the block to go down the
stairs to receive the most useful item in the game... the Magical Key! Now
you don't have to worry about getting stuck without a key again. This item will
unlock ALL doors in the game and you'll never ever have to collect keys.

Make your way back to D-4. Now kill all the Darknuts to open the door going
right. If you can avoid the monsters, just take the stairs to B-5. Once at
B-5, bomb the upper wall to face your last underworld boss.

-Gleeok-

This could be the toughest boss of the game. Gleeok now has FOUR heads that
you have to worry about. Zap him if your life is full, else just go in for
all the stabs you have. Try not to use the Red Medicine if you still have it,
but if you have to, then go for it. Once Gleeok is dead, grab the last Heart
Container then go up to get the final piece of the Triforce.

k. Prepare for the End
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now you have all 8 pieces of the Triforce, so the Triforce of Wisdom is yours.
Now one final quest remains, and that is to find Ganon and kill him. Your task
won't be easy. If you don't have Medicine or have the Blue Medicine, then buy
some Red Medicine so that way you won't have to leave the dungeon to get some.
Also, if your Magical Shield has been destroyed or eaten by Like Likes, then
buy yourself a new one. Don't worry if you don't have Enemy Bait, as it won't
help much in the dungeon. Make sure you have the following items:

Magical Boomerang
16 Bombs
Bow & Arrow
Red Candle
Recorder
Red Medicine
Magic Wand
Raft
Ladder
Magic Book
Magical Key
Blue Ring
Power Bracelet
Magic Sword
Magical Shield
16 Hearts
Triforce of Wisdom (all 8 Pieces)

l. Level 9: Death Mountain
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 9 can be found at F-1. You will know it when you see it as it is an area
with 2 huge rocks. Place a bomb on the left rock and a path will open up to
the final dungeon. Also note that before you go in if you ever need medicine
that the area just to the left of Level 9 has a medicine shop. Now if you're
ready, enter Ganon's Palace.

S- Big Monster

Half of these rooms can just be skipped if you know what to do. It isn't worth
going through ALL the rooms. There are two items you can get in this dungeon,
one of which you NEED in order to kill Ganon. These items are the Red Ring and
the Silver Arrow. First let's go after the Red Ring.

From the entrance, go up two rooms. The monsters in this room are easy compared
to the Wizzrobes you have to face. Bomb the wall to the left. Enter the room
to face a pair of Lanmolas. Since these buggers move at a good speed, your
best bet is to use the Magic Wand and burn them to death. Push the left block
and take the stairs to E-2.

Kill the Like Likes and unlock the door to the right. Now you'll fight some
Wizzrobes (I'll try to keep you away from these guys as much as possible, so
just follow my lead). Kill the Wizzrobes and bomb the lower wall. Kill the
monsters here (use the Magic Wand if you can't zap) and bomb the lower wall
again. Kill the Wizzrobes to get the Compass. Now go up two rooms again back
to F-2. Go right and you'll come face to face with a Patra. These monsters
are tough if you're not careful. You don't have to kill it, but if you want
those shiny bombs, just stab away at the small ones that float around it then
kill the large one in the center.

Go down a room and kill the Gels. Bomb the right wall and face another Patra.
Again, you don't have to kill it, but it's better to kill this one so that you
can bomb the upper wall more easily, and so you can get the Map. Once it is
killed, bomb the upper wall. Kill the monsters and bomb the upper wall again.
Kill the Wizzrobes and push the left block to go to the stairs leading to the
ever powerful RED RING! This Ring is twice as strong as the Blue Ring, so you
take half the damage you would from the Blue Ring.

Go back to G-2 where you fought the 1st Patra. Open the door going up and after
listening to the old man, bomb the wall to the left. Go left and kill the
Wizzrobes. Push the left block to reveal the stairway to D-7.

At D-7, unlock the door going left. Kill the Keese in that room and grab the
5 rupees it drops. Go left again to find yet another Patra. Once you kill this
one, push the left block out of the way and take the stairs to A-3.

At A-3, kill the Wizzrobes and bomb the upper wall. Make your way to the center
area and kill the Wizzrobes (you don't wanna get stuck in those narrow places
against the blue ones). Once they are killed, push the middle block on the
right to reveal the stairs to the legendary SILVER ARROW!! You NEED this item
in order to kill Ganon.

Make your way back to B-7 (where you killed the last Patra). Go up 3 rooms
to B-4 and bomb the wall to your left (if you go any further, you'll be forced
to do a LOT of backtracking). Kill the Wizzrobes and push the left block to
reveal the stairs (which are under one of the spikes, so make sure to lure
them out of the way long enough for you to take the stairs). The stairs lead to
E-1.

Quickly bomb the wall on the left and go through it (before the Wizzrobes try
to attack you). Kill the monsters here and push the left block to make a path
to the stairs to C-6.

Kill the Patra again. If you are running low on life, use the Red Medicine.
Equip the Bow and prepare for the end. Go up to the next room. Link will hold
up the Triforce of Wisdom and Ganon will appear.

-Ganon-

And then Ganon will disappear. He will start moving at random, shooting magic
at you in which your shield cannot block. All you can do is stab into the
wind and hope to hit Ganon. The best bet is to look at where the magic is
coming from and stab there, but you have to stab quickly. Once you stab him
4 times, he will turn to a brownish color. QUICKLY shoot him with the Silver
Arrow! After you shoot him, he will burn into ashes and leave the Triforce of
Power. Pick up the Triforce of Power and go up.

Stab at the fire and enter the area Princess Zelda is in.

Once you defeat Ganon for the first time (or if you enter ZELDA as your name
for your character) you can access the 2nd Quest. This quest is VERY tough and
should only be attempted by the master gamer or the extremely bored.

a. Boy... things certainly look different.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah... things are different, but at least the Wooden Sword is still in the
cave at the starting area. Grab it or you'll live to regret it.

Now this is gonna be a bit harder. Hunting at the first part won't be nearly
as easy. There is only ONE spot that you can get 100 rupees from and you need
the Blue Candle to do so. If you need fast cash for that, hunt for some bombs
and go to N-3. The 30 rupees are in the same place as before, inside the upper
part of the cliff. Also on a screen below at N-4, if you move the right Armos,
you can go to the stairs leading to another 30 rupees.

Once you have 60 rupees, buy a Blue Candle at G-7. Once you have that, go to
D-6 and burn the lower-left green bush to get 100 rupees in the cave.

Okay, now you need to come up with 250 rupees somehow so you can get the Blue
Ring, and trust me, you WILL need it early on. There are plenty of places to
get 30 or 10 rupees each. Just look at the map above. All of them can be gotten
by either burning or bombing something. Once you have the 250, go to P-2.
Remember how you got the 100 rupees in Quest 1? Well, in case you forget, in
P-2 hang on the right side of the cave and go straight up. You'll find a secret
passage to P-1. Here is the shop that sells the Blue Ring. BUY IT NOW OR DIE!!

Now that you have the Blue Ring, what are we gonna do about that wimpy Wooden
Sword? Well, sorry to say, you're stuck with it at least through level 1. But
we can still do a little hunting. Make your wall ALL the way over to B-7. This
area is known as the Lost Woods. This area is like a big cross and is
impossible to find your way out... well, not impossible. If you go right, you
will be back at C-7. But the way to A-7 involves a secret. While at B-7, go
up, left, down, and left again. This will lead you to A-7.

Now you have to be VERY careful. Lynels roam the next couple of areas. Do NOT
try to attack them. Just go up until you're at the graveyard. Make your way to
A-3 and push the 2nd gravestone from the left in the middle row. Go inside and
grab your first Heart Container.

While you're in the area, go to E-3 and grab the Power Bracelet under the upper
right Armos statue. Now go to B-2, watching out for the Lynels (don't try to
kill them unless you can zap them from afar). At B-2, push the left-most rock
to reveal the stairs to the Letter.

By the time you're ready to go to Level 1, you should have the following:

Wooden Shield
Bombs
Blue Candle
Letter
Blue Ring
Power Bracelet
4 Hearts
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
b. Level 1: The "E"

Level 1 is in the exact same location it is in the first quest. H-4 is where
it is.

For now you're gonna be stuck with the Wooden Sword. But have no fear, this
level can be completed easily and you don't even have to grab the map or the
compass.

From the entrance, go up. Kill the Goriyas to get the key (again, I'm gonna
have you stock keys, because this quest is so hard that it is best to stock
them). Go back to the entrance and go right. Kill the Goriyas there to get
the Boomerang. Bomb the upper wall to B-7. Kill the Keese there and push the
left block to take the stairs to B-2.

Use the Key on the door. Go left. Avoid the Goriyas if you can, just take and
bomb the upper wall. Go up to meet the boss, Aquamentus.

-Aquamentus-

As long as your life is full you can stay back and zap its head 6 times to
kill it. Else you'll have to avoid its magic and stab at it. It still shouldn't
be too hard. Grab the Heart Container and go right to get the Triforce Piece.

Now you can finally get the White Sword. It shouldn't be too hard to get, it's
in the same exact spot as it was before. Might even be easier than before
since you have the Blue Ring this time. The White Sword is at K-1 in case you
have forgotten. As long as you have 5 Hearts, you can get the White Sword.

Once you have it, there's nothing left to do but go to the next level.

stumbled upon this level. Level 2 can be found at E-4 under the 2nd top Armos

This is the first dungeon where you will see the False Walls. These are walls
that can't be bombed and looked solid, but if you walk up against them, you'll
go right through them to the other side. If on the map you see an FF, it means
you can use the false wall on both sides. If you see something like |F, it
means you can go through the wall one way, but can't go back.

Anyway, let's get started. Go up and face the Gibdos. In this quest you may
end up using the Boomerang a lot just to freeze the powerful enemies you start
out against. Kill the Gibdos and grab the Key. Go up again. Kill the Zols, go
up again. Grab the key there and go up yet again. Kill the next set of Gibdos
and go up. Fight the Keese and bomb the right wall. Grab the key and go back
left, then up through the door you just opened.

Beware of the Manhandla. You don't have to kill it, but if you place a bomb
right you can get the Key, so I recommend killing it. Go right.

Unlock the door going up and kill the Zols for the Map. Now go down and kill
the Darknuts. Go down again and you'll be in a narrow corridor leading to a
solid wall. This is a fake wall. Walk up against it and you'll be taken to
the next room. Go down the stairs to get the Recorder. Go back up and take the
false wall to the left back to A-4. Kill the Gibdos and go back down.

Unlock the door to the right. Kill the monsters (including the hard to kill
Pol Voices, which as I said, are hard to kill without arrows) to obtain the
Key. Go right and down, ignoring the Darknuts. Kill the Keese to get the Key.
Bomb the wall to the right and kill the Darknuts to get the Compass, then go
back right.

Go down and kill the Zols to get the Key. Go down again to see the Gibdos and
a stairway. Kill them for 5 rupees and take the stairs to C-4. Ignore the
Darknuts here and unlock the upper door to face Gleeok.

-Gleeok-

At this level, Gleeok is tough. You only have 5 hearts (compared to having
about 9 by the time you fought him for the first time in Quest 1). If you have
full life, then it will be easier. Just do what you've been doing and Gleeok
will just soon die, leaving a Heart Container. Take it and go up to get the
piece of the Triforce.

Useless Rooms: none
Items Gained: Recorder
Total Keys: 4
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
e. This isn't Recording?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that you have the Recorder, you can get two more Heart Containers that you
WILL need in the upcoming battles. Head to K-4 (the desert area) and play the
Recorder to reveal a stairway to a Heart Container. Now go down 1 screen to the
shop and buy an Arrow. Go left now and push the rock out of the way to reveal
the warp (if you haven't used a warp already). Take the right one to warp to
D-3.

Now head to G-1 and use the Recorder again to reveal the stairs to another
Heart Container. Grab it. You should now have 8 Hearts.

Now there is just one thing left. Head back to P-1 where you got the Blue
Ring. Pay 60 rupees to get the Enemy Bait. After you have that you're now
ready to go on.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
f. Level 3: The "L"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can't do this without the Recorder. Go to M-4 (same place as level 2 in
the first quest). This time there will be a small pond. Use the Recorder to
reveal the stairs to level 3.

This dungeon is extremely straightforward and very short. From the entrance,
just keep going straight up, killing any monster you come across, grabbing
a Map and a Key along the way (if you can help it, don't grab the bombs just
yet unless you REALLY need them). At C-2 you'll come across the Hungry Goriya.
Feed it the Enemy Bait to pass, and unlock the door. Kill the monsters there
to receive the Magical Boomerang.

Now make your way down to C-6. Unlock the door to your right to face the boss.

-Dodongo-

Dodongo really hasn't gotten any harder in the 2nd quest, except here you have
to face 3 of them with only 8 bombs. You can go on without fighting them if
you wish, but you'll miss out on getting your Heart Container for now. Be
careful when feeding them the bombs as your supply is limited. If you need
some more, go to C-5 and pick up the ones I told you not to. Kill the Dodongos
for the Heart Container. Unlock the door going down.

Grab the Compass and kill the Wallmasters. Once you do that, push the middle
block on the right to reveal the stairs to A-3. Grab the Key and kill the
monsters to open the door going up. Grab the Triforce Piece to leave this
simple dungeon.

far right side up or down to reveal the stairs to level 4. Make sure you have
about 150 rupees with you.

This level introduces something very annoying; the Red Bubble. If you hit
these bubbles, you cannot use your sword anymore! Well, at least until you hit
a Blue Bubble, so if you see Red Bubbles, hopefully you can find Blue Bubbles
nearby.

From the Entrance, go left and light up the room grabbing the Key along the
way. Go back and then up. You will right off the bat be face to face with a
Digdogger. Use the Recorder as you usually do against this enemy. Since your
sword isn't strong against them, freeze the little Digdoggers with your
Boomerang, then finish them off. Go left.

You can skip the Compass if you wish to avoid having to kill the Blue Darknuts
with your White Sword. Else kill them and grab the compass. Go up and unlock
the door going right. Kill the easy Aquamentus and go right. Kill the monsters
and push the middle block on the left to reveal the Stairway to the Magic Book.
Yes, it's useless now, but once you get the Wand it won't be. Go back up the
stairs once you have it.

Now push against the false wall going up. Buy the extra bombs the man offers
to increase your bomb capacity to 12. Now push against the false wall to the
left. Kill the monsters and unlock the door to the left. Ignore the Darknuts
and just go up. Kill the Zols and go up. Kill the Zols again and go right.
Push the block forward and go down. Kill the monsters, grab the Key, and bomb
the wall to the right to reveal a room of Rupees.

From the room of rupees, go left and up. Push the block up and bomb the wall
to the right. Kill Dodongo if you wish (the door leading up leads to Blue
Darknuts and a map, but it's not worth the waste to me). Go back left and push
the block out of the way. Go up.

This is one thing they made sure to do during this quest; place Keys just out
of your reach. There is a Key here but you can't get it without the Ladder and
without killing the Keese first. Bomb the wall going up.

Now you will be faced with a decision. Your money or your life? NEVER EVER
give your life (it involves giving up a full Heart Container). If you don't
have the money just get it and come back, but it's only 50 rupees. Give it to
him and go right. Push the left block of the middle set to reveal the stairs to
D-7. Unlock the door going up to face your boss.

-Digdogger-

Didn't you already face him once in this dungeon? Well, do the same thing. Use
the Recorder, stun them with the Boomerang, then stab them to death. Grab the
Heart and go up to the next room, but do NOT grab the Triforce just yet. Go
up and around to the top and push against the false wall.

Kill the Darknuts, the Dodongos (making sure you have the bombs, because if
you don't, you'll be stuck there until you die). Once you kill them, go up.
Kill the monsters here but do NOT go left. Kill the monsters (as tough as that
may seem) and push the block on the left that is directly in front of the
door. This will open the stairs to the Raft. Take it and grab the Raft. Now
go back to the Triforce Piece and grab it.

h. Level 5: The "Z"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This next level is NOT going to be easy. You will have to face Wizzrobes with
your White Sword. Before you go to the next level, buy a Magical Shield and a
Red Potion. Trust me, this is well worth it. You don't want to go dying so
easily now do you? Also, since you're out, grab the Heart Container at P-3 with
your Raft.

Level 5 is in the same place level 4 was during the 1st Quest, at F-5. Use the
Raft to get there.

You're gonna need to use your last two keys wisely. From the entrance, go up
and left. Kill the Like Likes and unlock the door going down. QUICKLY take
the stairs to B-1.

This will be your true test. A room full of Blue Wizzrobes and no escape. Your
best bet is to attack them when they're on the other side of the blocks. Once
you've killed them, push the middle block on the left towards the RIGHT. This
will open the door to a Gohma. Since you don't have the Bow, you can't kill it
right now. Just go down and take the stairs to get the Bow! Hopefully you
bought the Arrow like I told you to in the beginning. Go back to the Gohma and
fight it with the Bow & Arrow. Wait for its eye to open and shoot it 3 times
to kill it, giving you a Key. Go left and take the stairs back to B-8. Don't
try to fight the Wizzrobes. Push against the false wall on the left to reveal
a passage to a bunch of Keese and a Key. Go back right and up.

Back at B-7, go left. Light up the room and kill the Vires to get the Map. Go
up. Kill the Wizzrobes if you can but just try to make it to the upper door.
Again at A-5 with the same thing. Go right without trying to fight the
Wizzrobes. Kill the Zols to get the Compass. Go up. Here is another Key out of
reach of your hands. Just go right without messing with the Wizzrobes.

Now you have to face a Manhandla. You DO have to kill this to move on. You're
best to use the Bomb strategy to take it out in one shot. Once it is gone, go
up. Take the stairs to B-2. Unlock the door to your left to face the boss.

-Gleeok-

Gleeok again? Well, it might be a bit easier this time. 3 heads and 11 Hearts?
Shouldn't be too bad. Just be quick and stab/zap it to death. Grab the Heart
Container and go up for the 5th Piece of the Triforce.

Finally, you have 12 Hearts! About time don't you think? Now you can finally
get the Magic Sword! It's in a bit of a different place this time though. This
time it is at J-1. You will know you are at this area when you see a bunch of
rocks forming an arrow going left. Push the far left rock to reveal a staircase
to the Magic Sword. Grab it NOW!

You also might wanna take this time to get some more Enemy Bait.

Now perhaps the game will get a bit easier. Make sure you have the following
before going on:

Magical Boomerang
12 Bombs
Bow & Arrow
Blue Candle
Recorder
Enemy Bait
Red/Blue Medicine
Raft
Magic Book
Blue Ring
Power Bracelet
Magic Sword
Magical Shield

This level is just a bit easier than level 5 now that you have the Magic
Sword, but not by much. From the entrance, go up. Kill the Wizzrobes for some
bombs then go up. Kill the monsters if you can then go left. Unlock the
door and go left again. Kill the monsters, grab the rupees, and go left
again. Grab those rupees there and push the block on the far left away to
reveal the stairs to the Ladder! FINALLY!

Go right two rooms and down. Grab the Key (now that you can), and go back up
and right again. Bomb the upper wall and go up. Go left if you can without
fighting the Wizzrobes. Kill the Like Likes and grab the Map from C-5. Go back
right and bomb the upper wall. Now kill the Keese and ignore the Compass. Go
up. You'll be in a room with Blue Bubbles. Push the left-most block in the
center row to reveal the stairs to D-1.

Bomb the lower wall in D-1 and go down. Quickly grab the key to your left and
go back. Unlock the door to your right. Now you'll face a two-headed Gleeok.
Shouldn't be too hard with your Magic Sword. Kill him, grab the rupees and
go right. Now push the block on the left to reveal stairs to F-4. If you get
hit by a red bubble, take the stairs at D-1 and touch a blue bubble on the
other side.

Ignore the Manhandla and go up. Ready your Bow and Arrow.

-Gohma-

Gohma's strategy never changes for all of this. Wait for the eye to open again,
and shoot it. Shouldn't be too hard. Go up and grab the Triforce Piece.

k. Level 8: The Spiral
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Before anybody asks, YES I can count. This next section is for you to go to
Level 8 BEFORE you go to level 7. Why do you ask? 1: Level 8 is MUCH easier
than level 7. 2: You can get both the Magic Wand and Magical Key in Level 8.
3: You can upgrade your bombs again here. And 4: Because if you're following
this walkthrough exactly, you have no choice but to come here.

Before you do anything right now, go to P-6 and use the Ladder to get the last
Heart Container. Now you should be all caught up. Now use the Recorder until
you are teleported to the area right above level 4 (you will know by the Fairy
Fountain). Go down one screen and left two screens (one screen past the
waterfall). Count 5 squares from the left and bomb the wall across the river.
Enter Level 8.

From the entrance go up. If you get hit by a red bubble here, push the left
block, take the stairs, and go right to touch a blue bubble at B-2. Anyway,
back to the room with the blue bubble, push the left block to take the stairs
to A-2. Then push against the false wall going down. Ignore the Dodongos and
unlock the door going down. Kill the Wallmasters (if you get hit by a red
bubble, don't waste time trying to get the blue one to hit you, just kill them
with arrows). Push the middle block on the left to reveal the stairs to the
Magic Wand. Grab it.

Go back up to the Dodongo room and take a right. Kill the monsters and bomb
the lower wall. Kill the Blue Goriyas there for the Map. Go up and push the
left-most block in the middle row to reveal the stairs back to H-6.

At H-6, go up. Kill the monsters and go up again. You'll see a Digdogger here.
You don't have to fight it, so go up. Use the Enemy Bait on the hungry
Goriya to pass. In the next room, light up the room and kill the Keese to
receive the Compass. Go up again. Kill the monsters to grab the Key. Go left.

Kill the monsters to open the door and go left again. Kill the Digdogger if
you want money, else just bomb the wall to the left. Quickly unlock the door
to your left to avoid the Wallmasters and bubbles (kill the Wallmasters if you
NEED the bombs). Now you'll see some Dodongos. Use your bombs wisely in killing
them. Kill them to open the door going left.

Push the left block on the middle set to reveal the stairs while watching out
for the Red Bubbles (the nearest blue bubble is on the other side of the stairs
at B-5). When you arrive at B-5, unlock the door to the left. Kill the Stalfos
and push the only block 4 squares from the left side. This reveals a stairway
to the Magical Key!

Now you no longer have to chase after keys. After you return from getting the
Magical Key, go right back to B-5. Now go down. Push the block out of the
way and go left. Kill the Electric Ropes and push against the false wall going
down. Kill the monsters there for some rupees and go right. Unlock the door
to the right and keep going. Kill the monsters here for some bombs and push
the block on the left to take the stairs to F-5.

At F-5, bomb the wall going down. Kill the monsters in F-6 for some rupees and
go down again. Now kill the Aquamentus to open the left door. Go through and
kill the Wallmasters. Push the middle block on the left side to open the door
to the man selling more bombs. Pay the 100 rupees to upgrade your bomb capacity.

Head back to F-5 (where you last had stairs). Unlock the door going up to face
your boss.

-Dodongo-

Another reason I had you come to this level before level 7. With 16 bombs, you
should EASILY be able to kill them. The only difference is that you have to
watch out for the magic being thrown at you. Once they're dead, go up and
grab the Triforce Piece.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay, now we can go to Level 7. Level 7 is at M-7. To get inside, you have to
burn the 3rd bush from the top on the left side of the middle clump of bushes.
This is hard to do because the area to the left is so narrow, so burn it from
the right area and then go around and enter. Also, make sure you at least have
50 rupees before you enter.

This area is only a bit tougher because of the Darknuts, but it's still easier
than level 5 and 6. From the entrance, go left. You don't have to worry about
Keys anymore so many rooms will be useless. If there is nothing of value and
you can move on, then DO SO. Don't try to fight unless you need money or bombs,
as you will need your life.

From the entrance just go left and grab the compass. Go back to the entrance
and then right. Kill the monsters if you'd like, but go on right. Ignore the
monsters if you want again and go right. At E-7 kill all the monsters here.
After you kill them, push the only block four squares from the left side to
reveal the stairs. Take them to C-1.

At C-1, go down. Kill the Darknuts and Pol Voices and push the left block in
the middle set to reveal the stairs to the Red Candle. Go back and take the
stairs at C-2 to go back to E-7.

Back at E-7, go right to face the Manhandla. Kill it with some bombs or
something then push the leftmost block out of the way to open both doors. Go
right. Light up the room and then go up, ignoring the monsters. Kill the
monsters here to get the map. Go up again. Kill the Blue Darknuts to open the
door and to get some rupees. Go up and ignore these Darknuts as well. Go up
again to face Gohma. Just do what you've been doing, shoot it in the eye 3
times with your arrows and the door will open. Go up. Kill the Keese and push
the left-most block to reveal the stairs to D-5.

Go up to D-4. Push the block up and go right. Here is another Thief. Give him
the money as always and go down. Kill the Blue Darknuts and push the only
block 4 squares from the left side to reveal the stairs to G-1.

After you take the stairs, unlock the door going left. Kill the Blue Darknuts
to open the door, then face your final boss before Ganon...

-Gleeok-

Now you have 4 heads to worry about. Still shouldn't be too tough though as
long as you stay clear and zap way if your life is full, else do as Ali says;
"Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee." Stab a few times and run before
its magic hits you. Just be quick and you'll be fine. Grab your last Heart
Container and go left and grab the last piece of the Triforce.

Red Medicine
Magic Wand
Magic Book

n. Level 9: Ganon's Palace
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Level 9 is in a bit of a different spot from last time. This time it is at A-1.
Like last time, you have to do some bombing. From the end of the road on the
left side, count over 4 squares. Place a bomb on that wall to reveal the door
to level 9.

Believe it or not, this level 9 is actually smaller than the first quest's
level 9. This level is just MUCH more complicated. Just like last time though,
your goal is to get the Silver Arrow and Red Ring before you face Ganon.

From the entrance go up. Since you have the Triforce of Wisdom, the old man
won't be there. Go up again. Kill the Zols and push against the right wall to
go through the false wall. Kill the monsters and go right through the false
wall on the right. Kill the Wizzrobes here and bomb the upper wall. Kill the
Patra here for the Map. Go through the false wall on the left. Kill the
Wizzrobes and push the lone block to reveal the stairs to the Silver Arrow!
Make sure you get this!

After you come back from getting the Silver Arrow, push against the false wall
going up so you can enter the next room. Push the block on the left to reveal
the stairway to D-7.

At D-7, bomb the upper wall. Kill the Lanmolas in the dark room and go left.
Kill the Like Likes and go left again. Kill the Vires here to get 5 rupees,
then unlock the door going up. Kill the Keese here and unlock the door going
left. Kill the Lanmolas here for some bombs and go up. Avoid the red bubbles
and bomb the wall on the right. Push the block out of the way and go up.

Ignore the Wizzrobes if you want and just go right. Bomb the wall going down
to go to a room with the Compass. Go back up and bomb the wall going up this
time. Ignore the Wizzrobes and unlock the door going right. If you can avoid
them again, go up.

You should now be at D-2 with an old man. Push against the false wall going
left to go to the next room. Kill the Like Likes and move on left. Quickly
avoid the Wizzrobes and go up. Ignore the Patra for now and move against the
false wall to the left. Kill the Blue Lanmolas and push the block on the left
to reveal the stairs to the RED RING! Go back up.

Push back right against the false wall. Now this time, fight the Patra. Kill
the outer ring first then the center. Push the block on the left to reveal the
stairs to F-2. Bomb the wall to the right and move on to fight another Patra.
Kill it like you did last time and when the door is open, equip the Bow and
Silver Arrow and go right. Time to face your destiny. Link will raise up the
Triforce of Wisdom and make Ganon appear.

-Ganon-

But just like last time, he'll disappear. This battle isn't any tougher or
any different than it was last time. Watch where he is shooting magic from
and go towards it, but you only have a split second to stab him. Stab him
4 times with the Magic Sword until he turns a brownish color, then nail him
with the Silver Arrow. He will burn to ashes once again and leave the Triforce
of Power. Grab it and go up.

Stab the flames to destroy them and enter the area Zelda is in.

VI. Tips & Tricks
===============================================================================
Fast money:

This is a real sweet trick that can get you money in a hurry, providing your
eyes are good. Go to the graveyard. In each of the 6 zones there will be a
Ghini. If you touch a grave, a Ghost Ghini will be summoned (one you can't
hurt). Make sure you follow the real Ghini. Summon about 8 or 10 of them then
kill the real Ghini. All of them will die and you'll be left with a LOT of
items, but most likely a lot of money. This can be repeated 6 times before
you have to move on and do something for a while for each of the screens to
regenerate.

Killing Darknuts:

Darknuts can be hard to kill, but they are slow. Darknuts will only turn when
they are on a square and not on the line. However, you can stand on the line.
Stand to the Darknut's side on the line and stab/zap at it. Quickly move after
that and repeat.

Killing Wizzrobes:

Wizzrobes are the hardest hitting monsters in this game. The orange ones aren't
hard to kill, but the Blue ones will move around freely. NEVER EVER stand in
front of their path of travel, else they will fire at you. Attack them from the
side or from behind if you wish to kill them quick. Just stay out of their
path.

Basic Tip #1:

Since this game involves a LOT of areas and a LOT of monster, you are much
better off avoiding a lot of what you don't need to. Many rooms don't contain
anything but monsters and can really put a hurt on your life. If you wish to
"complete" the game then you can do so, but to me it's a waste of time and
effort to visit every room. All you need in each dungeon are the item(s), some
Keys, the Map, the Compass, the Heart Container, and of course, the Piece of
the Triforce.

Basic Tip #2:

If you can get to the next room without having to kill the monsters, and you
don't need either money, bombs, or keys, then do so. In my walkthrough I
usually say when to kill and when not to (at least in the 2nd quest). Remember,
the game is expensive (averaging about 810 rupees on the first quest, and
about 1000 for the 2nd quest) and you don't want to always waste money on
Red Medicine, Keys, Bombs, and the like.

Basic Tip #3:

NEVER try to hurry to kill a monster. If you do you're gonna lose a LOT of
life. Take your time when fighting. In almost any RPG, evade is always better
than pure defense. If you can avoid an attack it will be MUCH better than if
you tried to power your way through an attack. Take your time when fighting.
