Section IV. - Purpose/What This Guide Will Cover
+--------------------------------------------------+

In certain places of this game, certain items are needed to accomplish certain
things. Some of those items are held in bottles collected throughout the course
of the game. This guide will cover each and every one of those items, as well
as where to find them in every location possible. (Several of the items have
multiple places). Well this guide will tell you specifically where each and
every one of them are.

===============================================================================

+----------------------+
Section V. - Bottles
+----------------------+

++++++++++++++++
 What They Do
++++++++++++++++
Throughout Majora's Mask, there are many sidequests you can do. From a few of
them you can win/attain a bottle. Empty bottles, despite how useless just the
name sounds, are quite useful. They hold a number of things such as fish, bugs,
etc. A lot of the items you can even sell. Others are used to attain other
things. The bottles basically hold certain semi-important items that aren't on
your Select Item screen in the START Menu.

+++++++++++++
 Locations
+++++++++++++
Very briefly, below, are the locations and how to get each of the six bottles.
If you want a more in depth guide, then, check one of the other in depth guides
for more information.

1. From the witch in the Southern Swamp. She gives you the bottle to go heal
her sister.

2. Do the Kafei/Anju sidequest and with the last letter (Priority Mail), deliv-
er it to Mama in the Milk Bar yourself.

3. Beat the aliens at Romani Ranch at night on the 1st Day.

4. Win the Goron Race.

5. Beat the beavers at Great Bay.

6. Help Dampe in the graveyard in Ikana at night on the Final Day.

===============================================================================

+----------------------------------------+
Section VI. - What Items Go In Bottles
+----------------------------------------+

This section will very briefly discuss the items that actually can go in bot-
tles and their purposes in the game. Below is a list of the bottle-able items
and what they do.

Bugs
----
These are pretty much worthless except in the first Spider-House. You put them
down on soft soil areas and they crawl in holes and pop something out for you,
usually money. In the Spider-House, they will usually pop out Skutullas. Bugs
sell for 20 Rupees in the Curiosity Shop (located in West Clock Town).

Fish
----
You can capture fish in your bottles. The main thing fish are for is to get the
Heart Piece in the Great Bay laboratory by feeding the other fish. Other than
that, they sell for 20 Rupees in the Curiosity Shop.

Healing Fairies
---------------
Healing Fairies do exactly what the name says they do. They heal you. They look
just like Tatl except they're pink. You can capture them in a bottle and save
them for later. Also, if you die, the Healing Fairy will automatically come out
of the bottle and heal you by the normal 10 Heart Containers. They're incred-
ibly useful. Good thing you can buy them. =D

Poes
----
Poes are your average basic ghost. There's only two in the game, and you only
face them one time each. It's easy to beat, and the benefits are worth it. Just
one of them sells for (I believe) 500 Rupees at the Curiosity Shop.

Potions
-------
These restore your health and energy. It's basic.

Milk/Chateau Milk
-----------------
Talk about free! Regular milk you can get from a cow. There's a few of them in
the game. All you have to do is play Epona's Song to them and they'll fill up a
bottle of it for you! One bottle of the stuff replenishes 10 Heart Containers.
Chateau Milk makes your energy bar never run out until you play the Song of
Time. Very useful, but Chateau Milk is rare.... or just costs a lot anyway.

Hot Spring Water
----------------
This is just used to melt ice. If you don't use it in a certain amount of time,
it cools down and is just worthless regular water.

Water
-----
Pretty much worthless. All it can really do is make your Magic Beans grow, but
you only do that a few times in the whole game.

Zora Eggs
---------
These really don't do anything. There's seven of them in the game altogether,
and the only reason you can get them in your bottle is so you can carry them
around.

+------------------------------------------+
Section VII. - Bottle Items and Locations
+------------------------------------------+

There are a total of 9 things you can put in bottles, all of which can be found
in several places throughout the game. The items that can go in bottles are as
follows: Bugs, fish, Healing Fairies, poes, potions, milk/Chateau milk, hot
spring water, Zora Eggs, and regular water. All the listed items there can be
found throughout the game, in many locations. So why do we get started on those
locations, hm?

++++++++++++++
 Clock Town
++++++++++++++
--------
 Bugs
--------
1. In South Clock Town down by the Laundry Pool. There is one crawling around
near the wall. I found mine behind the bench.

2. In East Cock Town in the Stock Pot Inn, 2nd floor, last room. There are bugs
crawling around on the floor near the wall by the beds.

3. In East Cock Town in the Stock Pot Inn, in the kitchen, crawling around on
the floor.

--------
 Fish
--------
1. In South Clock Town down by the Laundry Pool. In the water are fish. You'll
have to be Zora Link and go underwater to capture them.

2. In East Clock Town in the Stock Pot Inn, in the kitchen, in the water.

3. In the shop in West Clock Town between the Bomb Shop and Curiosity Shop is
another shop. There's water inside with a fish in the water.

-------------------
 Healing Fairies
-------------------
1. In the shop in West Clock Town between the Bomb Shop and Curiosity Shop is
another shop. If you already have a bottle, you can buy a Healing Fairy here.

--------

 Milk/Chateau Milk
--------------------
1. In the Milk Bar you can buy both Chateau Milk and regular Milk.

--------------------
 Hot Spring Water
--------------------
There is none.

---------
 Water
---------
There's a bunch of water all over Clock Town in numerous places, but I myself
can't seem to be able to scoop any up because the water levels are too low.
Even as a Zora and sinking, you still can't get any.

-------------
 Zora Eggs
-------------
There are none.

+++++++++++++++++
 Termina Field
+++++++++++++++++
--------
 Bugs
--------
1. In a hole in front of the observatory are at least 10 bugs.

2. In a hole dead next to the fence of the observatory. Chop the grass in front
of the four Gossip Stones for them to crawl out.

3. In a hole just outside of North Clock Town on the right, next to the wall.
The hole's ground is covered in a very thin layer of water.

4. In a hole near the fountain. It's under a rock you have to blow up with a
bomb to get to. The hole has four Gossip Stones in it as well.

5. In a hole under a rock near the big white wall that leads to great bay. You
have to pick up a small rock (in the hole) and bugs are under it.

6. In a hole just on the outside of some tall grass to the left of Milk Road.
The hole has four Gossip Stones in it and a bunch of spider webs.

--------
 Fish
--------
1. From milk Road, head to the beach area. There's a pool of water when you
first get on the sand with a chest in it. In the water are two fish. They're
very hard to catch, but you CAN catch them (even as a Zora it's hard, but it is
possible).

you some regular milk.

-------------------

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
 Southern Swamp/Woodfall
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I'd like to first point out that in this area, a non-listed item can fit into a
bottle. When you beat Woodfall Temple, and the Deku Princess asks you to take
her back to the Palace, you have to place her in a bottle. With that said, let
us begin.

--------
 Bugs
--------
1. In the Southern Swamp Spider-House are tons of bugs.

2. In Deku Palace in the hole with the Magic Bean seller. Up on his carpet and
around it are a few bugs.

3. In a hole on a small piece of land to the left of the Spider-House (assuming
you're facing the entrance).

--------
 Fish
--------
1. On the way from Termina Field to the Southern Swamp is that huge tree and a
path leading to the left of it. Down that path is a house, which is the Shoot-
ing Gallery. Right by it is some water. In the water are several fish.

2. In a hole on a small piece of land to the left of the Spider-House (assuming
you're facing the entrance).

-------------------
 Healing Fairies
-------------------
1. When you first fly to Southern Swamp, right next to the Own Statue are two
weeds and a Mini Baba. Chop down the plants and there's your Healing Fairy.

2. On the same platform that you play the Sonata of Awakening to raise the tem-
ple in Woodfall are three jars. In one of them is the fairy.

3. (I'm only doing this one because it's right at the beginning of the temple).
As soon as you enter Woodfall Temple, on your right is a jar. In it is the
fairy.

--------
 Poes
--------
There are none.

-----------
 Potions
-----------
1. Face the shack by the Owl Statue when you first get in the swamp. Now, head
into the water and swim up the left until you see some land on the left with a
colorful arch over it. Back behind there is a tea-cup shaped "house" on a plat-
form you have to climb up. Inside is a witch that will sell you potions.

---------------------
 Milk/Chateau Milk
---------------------
There is none.

-------------------
 Hot Sping Water
-------------------
There is none.

---------
 Water
---------
1. It's a swamp. There's bottle-able water everywhere.

path leading to the left of it. Down that path is a house, which is the Shoot-
ing Gallery. Right by it is some water.

-------------
 Zora Eggs

There are none.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
 Mountain/Goron Village
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
--------
 Bugs
--------
1. When you beat the temple, behind the Reforgers' house is a cave you can go
in. At the top of one of the stone ramps that keep leading up is a hole with
bugs in it.

in. At the top of one of the stone ramps that keep leading up is a hole with
water in it with a fish in it.

-------------------
 Healing Fairies
-------------------
1. Near the Owl Statue is a large snowball with small ones around it. In one of
those small ones is the fairy.

2. To get this fairy, you first have to create a Scarecrow's Song. Go to one of
the Scarecrows in Clock Town (there's one in the item shop in West Clock and
one in the observatory) and make up a song you'll remember. Now go back behind
the Reforgers' house and play the song. On the roof a Scarecrow will pop up.
Use your Hookshot and Hookshot to him to the roof. Now in a jar on the roof is
the fairy.

3. When you first enter Snowhead and walk forward some, Tatl will pipe up and
talk about something in the blizzard. Right about the point, you can see three
small snowballs around you. In one of them is the fairy.

--------
 Poes
--------
There are none.

-----------
 Potions
-----------
1. In the small shop in the Goron "King"'s palace place, the Goron sells Red
Potion.

---------------------
 Milk/Chateau Milk
---------------------
There is none.

-------------------
 Hot Sping Water
-------------------
1. In Mountain Village there is a small part of water with ice circles floating
in it. Jump from each ice circle until you're on the other side. Now use the
Lenses of Truth to see the ladder. Climb up it to the top (right, left, right
at the forks). Now inside, as Goron Link, pull back the big brick and the water
will flow in.

2. On the way from Mountain Village to Goron Village, after the second bridge
is a hole covered with a piece of ice. Melt it with a Fire Arrow or some Hot
Spring Water from #1. Inside is more Hot Spring Water.

---------
 Water
---------
1. Let the water from a hot spring cool down.

1. In a hole behind the Fisherman's house on shore.

2. Stand on the beach and look out at the lab. From here, head to the right and
around the land to the piece with a small pool of water against the wall seper-
ate from the rest of the ocean. On this piece of land is a small rock. Pick it
up and under it are a few bugs.
