1. Legal Junk/Email Policy

As this section is an important section, I though I'd put it in right
at the start when you're still paying attention to what I'm saying.
As I have just recently started writing FAQs I'm only letting
Gamefaqs.com use this or any other of my guides on their site as it
is the only one I know won't sell it to other sites or something. In
the future, I am intending to let other sites such as Neoseeker.com
use my guides, but for now I only wish gamefaqs.com to use it. If you
see this guide anywhere else then please let me know. My email
address is mikeytatts@aol.com.

2. Ocarina of Time and Master Quest

Even though tons of sites, magazines, reviews etc have said this
millions of times, I thought I'd better include it in my guide as
well. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and The Legend of Zelda:
Master Quest are virtually the same. The main difference is that
Master Quest is harder than Ocarina of Time. The Master Quest game
was made for all the people who said that they were masters and they
had done everything possible on the original Ocarina of Time. So now,
to be a true master you have to master this one as well, hence the
name "Master Quest".

The other main difference is actually in the dungeons themselves.
This has been 100% confirmed by Wilsh (the co-writer) as he has
beaten the game fully, unlike me as I am still working out where the
last Gold Skulltula is. As a few gold skulltulas are inside the
dungeons then, obviously their locations have changed as well which
is partly why I didn't want to put in a Gold Skulltula locations list
right away as I wanted to ensure I knew exactly where they were
first. Don't panic, I will be putting in a list of gold skulltulas
soon (probably in the next update) so please don't bombard me with
emails about it. The heart pieces however have not changed so I have
put in a list of their locations.

3. Item Glossary

This section tells you all the swords, weapons, keys and any other
junk you can think of that is considered an item. To make it simpler
to read and get through, I have split it up into different sections,
so let's begin with swords.

Kokiri Sword Found in Kokiri Forest. The first sword you pick up.
It's not the sharpest blade in the world but, until better weapons
come our way, it's better than nothing at all. It can only be used as
Child Link as it's too small to use when you're an Adult.

Master Sword Found in the Temple of Time. Once you have the Ocarina
of Time and all three spiritual stones, you can pull this out of the
pedestal in the Temple of Time and warp forward seven years. It is a
pretty useful blade as it is the only thing that can completely
destroy Ganondorf. Unfortunately it can only be used as an Adult.

Goron's Knife Found in Goron's city and not worth the bother,
frankly. You buy it from this massive Goron for 200 rupees (rip off
or what!) and if you use it for more than cutting up your food with
it breaks, seriously don't buy it.

Big Goron's Sword Obtained by completing a long and stressful
trading sequence and paying a visit to the Big Goron who lives on top
of Death Mountain, but damn it's worth it. Take one swipe with this
thing and most enemies will instantly be destroyed or very nearly.

Shields

Kokiri Shield

At first you buy it from the shop in Kokiri Forest for 40 rupees but
it can sometimes be found in chests in dungeons. This shield is good
for some basic defence moves but will burn if it gets caught on fire
so I'd get hold of a stronger shield if you really want to kick ass.

Hylian Shield

Found in the graveyard in Kakariko Village. It is the shield that
Hylian Knights used for the great battles of old so, naturally, it's
a very good shield for defending yourself with. The only way it can
be lost is if you get eaten by a Like Like.

Mirror Shield

Found in the Spirit Temple. This shield is the best one to fight
with. It has a surface that is so shiny it can absorb light and re-
direct it to something else and it cannot be lost in anyway
whatsoever. Definitely ten out of ten.

4. Weapon Glossary

Bombs - Your basic bomb. Get one out and quickly throw it at an
unsuspecting target and watch them fly far far away.

Bombchu - A mobile bomb. Let one loos and it will climb up walls and
run around all over the place until it finds a target, and then,
BOOM!!

Boomerang - Use the auto-target function and throw it at a target.
They boomerang will hit the target and then come back to you so you
can throw it at another target, not bad eh!

Deku Nuts - Throw one at an enemy and it will stun it, temporarily.
Now simply go up to it and hit it as many times as you like, it won't
fight back.

Deku Sticks - Useful for lighting things. They can be used three
times as a sword, but then they break.

Din's Fire - One of the three magic spells available to you. This one
creates a circle of fire around you, which will burn anything in its
path.

Fairy Bow - It's a bow, believe it or not !!

Fairy Slingshot - You can fire deku seeds at enemies from afar with
this. You can carry a maximum of 40 seeds.

Fairy Ocarina - Obtained from Saria and is used as an instrument to
play tunes on until you get the Ocarina of Time.

Farore's Wind - Second of the three magic spells that are available
to you. This will create a warp point in any dungeon or temple.

Fire Arrows - Obtained from shooting the sun at Lake Hylia with a
normal arrow.

Hookshot - Obtained by beating Dampe in the graveyard race as an
Adult.

Ice Arrows - Arrows that will freeze any enemy. You get them by
completing the Gerudo Training grounds.

Lens of Truth - Allows you to see blocks, tunnels, objects that are
invisible to the naked eye.

Light Arrows - Strongest type of arrow in the games. It is the only
thing that can hurt Ganondorf and the orbs.

Longshot - A better version of the hookshot with a much longer range.
Obatined by defeating Dark Link in the Water Temple.

Magic Beans - Plant these in a soft soil patch as a child and then
come back as an Ault to find a fully grown bean platform that will
transport you around the area it was planted in.

Megaton Hammer - A very strong hammer which is used to smash up
boulders and activate rusted switches. It's also the only weapon that
can kill Volvagia in the Fire Temple.

Mask of Truth - A mask that lets you talk to Gossip stones. Found in
the happy mask shop after selling all four masks.

Nayru's Love - The third and final magic spell that is available to
you. It will form a shield around you and protect you from attack for
a while.

Ocarina of Time - This is what the game is about for god sake. It's
the ocarina of time which is the only instrument that can open the
sacred realm and allow you to time travel backwards and forwards.

5. Clothes List

In the two games, there are a few outfits that must be obtained in
order to progress further, in this section I will show what they are,
how they are useful and where they can be found.

Kokiri Tunic You start the game off in this.

Fire Tunic This is obtained from the Goron in Goron city as an
adult. It will allow you to travel through very hot areas without
being scorched to death. You could also pay 200 rupees for it at the
Goron shop but the other way is much cheaper.

Water Tunic This is obtained from King Zora after you un-freeze him
as an Adult. It will allow you to travel great distances underwater
without being drowned. You could also pay 400 rupees for it at the
Zora Shop but the other way is much cheaper.

6. Boots List

In the two games, there are a few types of boot that must be obtained
in order to progress further, in this section I will show what they
are, how they are useful and where they can be found.

Kokiri Boots You start the game off in these

Hover Boots Found in the Shadow Temple. These will allow you to
hover over large gaps which is better than falling down huge gaps,
right!

Iron Boots - Found in the Ice Cavern. These, when equipped with the
Zora Tunic will allow you to walk underwater for an infinite amount
of time.

7. Masks

In Hyrule Castle Town Market, there is the happy mask shop which
sells masks (obviously). As a side quest you can buy the mask and
sell it to someone who will give you some rupees for it, you then go
back to the shop and pay the man the rupees you paid for it
originally and you can then keep the rest, so it's a pretty good way
to make a lot of rupees.

Keaton Mask Give it to the guard that is stood When wearing
at the gates leading to Death Mountain this, people
               Trail. Will talk to
                                                         You as if
                                                         You're a fox

Skull Mask In The Lost Woods in Kokiri Forest, When you
there is a skull kid, give this mask wear this,
               to him. People will
                                                         be scared of
                                                         you.

Spooky Mask Sell it to the kid who's in the Same as The
graveyard in Kakariko Village during Skull Mask.
               the daytime.

Bunny Hood In Hyrule Field is the running man, give This will
it to him. He is located randomly around annoy a lot
Hyrule Field. The best place to look of people
for him is around the back of Lon and provoke

8. Story

Once upon a time, there were three goddesses that created the earth.
They were Din, Nayru, and Farore. They all created the earth and the
spirit of the law so the creatures could live respectably to the law.
As they left the dimension to another, they left behind a mark. That
mark is the Triforce.

The Triforce contained three virtues: Power, Courage, and Wisdom. The
Triforce protected the land for years to come. However, the Triforce
could be possessed by an individual. If that individual has a good
heart, the land will see an era of prosperity. If the heart is evil,
the world would suffer a long drought of peace.

A myth said that when an individual finally capture the Triforce, it
will split into three pieces. The person who touched the Triforce
will get the virtue he believed in most. The other two pieces will go
to its best host. If an individual collects them all, he or she will
reign supreme.

The five races that Farore created, the Gorons, the Zoras, the
Gerudos, the Kokiri, and the Hylians, all respected the Triforce with
all of their hearts. However, as a popular saying goes, whenever
there is good, there will always be evil. Therefore, Triforce will
never be safe from the evil.

One day, a Gerudo man with an evil heart trekked the vast deserts of
Hyrule. He had heard about how powerful the Triforce could be and he
really wanted it to rule the land. He knew nothing on how to get it
until recently. He found out about a mythical Ocarina of Time. He
walked down the horizon of the storming sand. He looked up. He knew
that item must have some connection to the Triforce. Oh, how badly he
wanted it!

Ganondorf went to the Hyrule Field and devised his evil plans to
capture the Triforce. First, he went to the Kokiri Forest and snuck
in a spider in the Great Deku Tree, the protector of the Forest. Then
he went to the volcano of the Gorons and awakened the Dodongo.
Finally, he went to the Zora's Domain and made Jabu-Jabu jabby.

Back at the Kokiri Forest however, The Great Deku Tree suddenly
realized that the time was now. The boy without a fairy time must
leave.

NOTE: This is only for the Master Quest game NOT The Ocarina of Time.
If you want the Ocarina of Time walkthrough then please see the
section entitled "Ocarina of Time Walkthrough"

10. Kokiri Forest - The Kokiri Emerald

With Navi (the fairy) at your side exit Link's house. This will bring
you out into Kokiri forest. Climb down the ladder. You can talk to
Saria if you wish but all she tells you is that she is so pleased a
fairy finally came to you, moving on !!

Whilst you are moving around the forest be sure to talk to a few
people, because if you're new to the game they usually have something
useful to say, and when Navi says "the Deku Tree has summoned you,
come with me! IGNORE HER. Besides you can't get to the Deku Tree yet
anyway.

Anyway from Link's house you will see a hill. Go up the hill and turn
left. You will then see a set of fences. Either go round them or jump
over them. You will then see a fellow Kokiri, look to the right of
him, on the ground and you should see a small hole in the wall, walk
up to it and press A.

This will cause Link to crawl through. Once at the other side you
will see that you are in a maze-like area with a boulder rolling
round. Carefully make your way to the other side, avoiding being hit
by the boulder wherever possible and you will come to a chest. Open
the chest with A and you will get your first sword. The Kokiri Sword.
Lucky You!

Make your way out of the maze (a method I find works is to simply re-
trace your steps) once you are out of the maze and back in Kokiri
Forest feel free to practise with your brand spanking new sword
before going on to the next bit.

After you have got used to the Kokiri Sword you will need to collect
at least 40 rupees (note: this is one of the very rare occasions
where you HAVE to buy something, after this it is cheaper to find
stuff in places rather than buying them in shops.)

You can find rupees in the patches of light green grass all over the
forest (the patches of grass are the best areas). Once you have 40
rupees in you're possession head over to the shop. The shop is the
house with the red canape outside. Before you can enter the shop
though a Kokiri will show how to use Navi to have conversations with
people out of your reach.

After the lesson go into the shop, walk up to the counter and press
A. Push the Analogue stick left and get the icon over the Deku Shield
and press A the shopkeeper will ask you if you want to buy it. Answer
YES. Congratulations you now have the Deku Shield and enough weapons
to get past Mido who is blocking your path to the Deku Tree and get
on with your quest.

Head over to Mido, if you're not sure where he is go to the little
river and instead of going across the stepping stones, go right and
continue until you see a rather small Kokiri, that is Mido. Talk to
him and he will (reluctantly) let you pass. Go past him and on your
way to the Deku Tree be sure to kill a few Deku Babas (these are the
plants that try to snap your head off), because they give you Deku
Sticks and trust me these are important in the Deku Tree.

Once in front of the Deku Tree you will see a cut scene where the
Deku Tree tells you that Ganondorf's evil cohorts are destroying him
from inside out. By the way if you think that the cut scene is boring
and you want to skip it TOUGH. You can't. After the cut scene he will
invite you to go inside and open his mouth to reveal a hole. Go
inside.

                           The Great Deku Tree

Enter the door, if you need them, kill the Deku Babas that are at
various points on the floor you're on now for some hearts, deku
sticks and nuts. Now, head back to the entrance and climb the ladder
to the left. Follow the path round and jump over the gap halfway.
Now, use the L-Targetting function to find the keese that's flying
around and kill it, believe me that will save you some hassle later
on. Once he's dead, follow the path round and kill the skulltula
that's waiting to attack you. Once he's dead, open up the chest and
collect the dungeon map. This is a very useful material as it allows
you to see all the rooms in the dungeon, use it if you get lost. Now,
ascend the vine ladder and follow the walkway. Pretty soon, you
should come across a switch, activate it and the torch will ignite
and burn the nearby web.

Head through the door it was blocking. When you enter, you'll see a
switch with fire next to it, ignore it for now. Head down to the
bottom platform and kill every monster you can find. After they're
all dead you will receive your first Deku Nut of the game, save it,
it will come in handy when we face the boss. You now need to use the
vine ladder to access the first platform (the one where there was a
switch with fire next to it, the one I told you to ignore). When
you're back on that platform, get out a deku stick and light it using
the fire by the switch. Now, quickly run back to the bottom platform
and use the light deku stick to ignite the torch you'll find there.
Now a chest will appear so head over to the other side of the room
and open it to find a blue rupee, that's an easy five rupees you
know! Now, if you killed every monster in the room, the door should
have unlocked, if it hasn't then you still have some monsters to
kill.

Once all of them are dead, a big chest will spawn. Head over to it
and open it to find the fairy slingshot. This should be equipped and
not be un-equipped until we exit the Deku Tree. Before proceeding,
feel free to practice with your newly found weapon. When you're
confident you can hit this with a fair degree of accuracy, return to
the second floor and head to the vine ladder. Beside this ladder is a
crate which you can smash by rolling into it, do so and you'll see a
gold skulltula, kill it and grab the token. Now, to your right should
be a web, burn it with a lighted deku stick and head through the door
it was blocking. In this new room, you'll see a Deku BaBa who is
repeatedly snapping at you, stand back and fire four deku seeds at it
to kill it. After it's gone, aim your slingshot above the other door
and fire a shot at the eye, when you hit it, the door will unlock,
allowing you to exit this room. In this room, you'll find some
skulltullas and other spiders. Kill them all and, using the vine
ladder, cross to the other side of this room and, when you get there,
open the chest to find the compass for this dungeon.

Now, turn around and leap onto the floating platform and then jump
back to the original platform (where you started this room) now exit
this room and go back to where you started this dungeon off. Once
there, you'll notice a big spider web blocking a hole in the middle
of the floor, we're going to go through there now. What you need to
do is light a deku stick using one of the torches on this floor and
roll on the web to burn it and cause Link to fall through into the
first floor basement. When you land in the basement, you should be in
some water so swim to the high platform and climb out. Dispose of the
Deku BaBas in the usual manner and activate the switch to spawn a
chest on the other platform. Head over to it and open it. If you
still have your deku shield then you'll get a blue rupee (worth five)
but if you lost it earlier then you'll get another one, so either way
you get something useful. Now, return to the lower platform and fire
a deku seed at the eye above the door to open the door.
Head through it. You'll now come across a deku who will be firing
nuts at you.

So, get out your shield and deflect the nut he fires at you back at
him and, when he starts running around chase him and hit him once
with your sword, he'll then start begging you not to kill him. After
he's done babbling light your deku stick from the torch in the
previous room and the re-enter the deku room. Now, light the two
torches and the bars covering the other door will go and you'll be
able to exit this room, do so. In this new room, open the chest and
collect the recovery heart if you need it. Now activate the switch
and light up your deku stick and hop on the moving platform and hold
down R to make Link crouch and avoid the spiked log. Now, hop off the
platform onto the other side and set both torches alight. The door on
top of the block will now unlock so climb on top of the block and
exit the room (kill the skulltula if you wish). In this room there
are tons of enemies and you must kill them all.

There are A Deku, 4 Spiders on the floor, a few more Spiders on the
roof and a keese. Use your slingshot to kill the skulltulas that are
on the ground and then dispose of the deku. All the other spiders
will now come at you, so dispose of them with either your slingshot
or your sword, I recommend saving your slingshot ammo but it's up to
you.

After you've killed all the spiders, finish off the keese and exit
through the new door. When you first enter this room, look at the
four torch brackets and you'll see small, black shapes on each of
them, these are keese so get out your slingshot and kill all four of
them and stand on the switch. Now, light up a deku stick using the
torches and use it to destroy the web, which is to the right of the
door you entered through.

You will also see another door in this room, but until you have the
song of time there is nothing of interest through that door so head
back to where the web was and crawl through the hole. Ignore the Deku
Baba and get rid of the deku the same way as you did the last one.

But, in case you can't remember and are too lazy to look back, I'll
tell you how to: get out your shield and deflect the nut he fires at
you back at him and, when he starts running around chase him and hit
him once with your sword. After you hit him with your sword, he'll
ask you if you want to buy a deku shield for 50 rupees, if you
already have one, then say no but if you don't, it's a good idea to
say yes. Now, kill the deku baba and approach the block and push it
using A. Using up, push it over the edge into the water. Now, jump to
the platform with the fire (the lowest one) and light a deku stick.

Now, jump into the shallow part of the water and climb onto the
middle platform. Now, use the block to jump to the upper platform
(the one with the web on the floor). Now, roll onto the web with your
lighted deku stick and it should burn. Drop down into the next area
and take the hearts if you don't have full health.

Now head onto the dry bit of ground and face the dekus. Behind these
dekus is the boss door but, to unlock it, you must hit them in a
certain order. The order is 3 1 2. So, deflect the nut the third one
fires at you back at him and then do the same to number one and
number two. After you've hit them all in the correct order, go talk
to the second one and he'll tell you all about Queen Gohma, the boss.
After he's done, ensure you have full health and then enter the boss
door.

                   Parasitic Armoured Arachnid: Queen Gohma
                                    Difficulty 4/10

This is quite an easy boss considering how big and mean she looks. To
start the fight, look up at the ceiling and you'll see her eye
glaring back at you, she'll then jump down of the ceiling and the
fight will begin. When she jumps down and lands in front of you,
throw a deku nut at her and fire a deku seed at her, now press L to
l-target her, then press B to do a lunge attack. This should do a
substantial amount of damage to her. Simply repeat this process until
she's down.

After she is gone pick up the blue heart container, and step into the
blue light. The blue light will return you to in front of the Deku
Tree.

After the cut scene the Deku Tree will be dead and you will have the
Kokiri Emerald, the first of the three spiritual stones. YAHHOO!

Obtaining the 2nd Spiritual Stone

Kokiri Forest

If you talk to anyone you'll find that his or her reactions are
different since the Deku Tree is dead. Now exit the forest. If you
aren't sure where the exit is, it is by the Know-it-all brothers
house. As you are leaving the forest, Saria will hand you the Fairy
Ocarina. To learn more about the Ocarina, check out this section
below:

Throughout the game you will receive two versions of an Ocarina. The
first is the fairy Ocarina, and the second is the one that Ganondorf
wants so much, the Ocarina Of Time, which will help you turn into an
adult, much later on in the game.

Leave through the opposite entrance and enter Hyrule field.

Hyrule Field

An owl will give you a map of Hyrule. This is useful if you get lost,
or need help finding somewhere. Anyway, head over to the market, if
you arrive at night you won't be able to get in. This is because the
drawbridge is always shut at night. Wait till morning. Either way
once the drawbridge is open, enter the town. Once in the town, you
will notice that there are lots of shops and people to talk to. Make
a note to come back here later to play some pretty awesome mini-
games.

Anyway, walk over to the small ginger haired girl standing near the
castle. She will introduce herself and tell you a bunch of other
stuff. After this head over to the castle. Run over to the gate and
talk to the guard. It seems that no one can enter the castle. Fine.
Walk out of the castle and go back in again.

You will see Malon, you know the ginger haired girl from the market.
Anyway, walk over to her and talk to her. She will tell you that her
Dad is somewhere in the castle, most likely asleep. She will also
give you the weird egg, if you find her dad.

Now to get into the castle. Climb up the vines behind her. Run along
and drop down the hole to the left. Once down, go through the door.
It is VERY important that the guards don't see you. If they do, they
will throw you out the castle. Walk along the path, and when you see
the two guards stop. Climb up the hill to Link's left. Run along,
making sure not to get close to the guards. Make your way to the wall
at the other end.

Climb up the stone part, and drop into the moat. Wade along, until
you come to a small brown pile of earth, use this to get out of the
moat, go along the path to Link's left. See that sleeping guy on the
floor, that's Talon. To wake him up all you have to do is wait till
its day and then get your weird egg out. It will have hatched. When
it crows it will just be the right pitch to wake him up. Once you
have talked to him he will run back to Malon, frightened that she is
cross with him. Once he has gone, push the blocks to your right, into
the moat.

Use them to jump onto the ledge where the small hole is. Crawl
through the hole, using A. Once through you have to avoid some more
guards. Only this time they are moving. To avoid them simply wait
until they move round one side of the bushes and then run across to
the next one. Once through you will meet Princess Zelda, well done!!!
After the long chat, she will give you Zelda's Letter.

This is needed to get up Death Mountain, but anyway, back to now.
After she gives you Zelda's Letter go to the opposite side of the
courtyard to meet Impa, Zelda's Guardian. She will teach you Zelda's
Lullaby (at last some thing that makes that darn Ocarina some use!)
She will then escort you out of the castle (how kind).

After Impa has gone, head to Lon Lon Ranch, this is situated at the
other side of Hyrule Field. Head into the pen with all the horse,
talk to Malon. After she has spoken to you, talk to her again and she
will tell you that Epona is scared of you. Talk to her again and show
her your Ocarina to learn Epona's Song. Head to the shed where Talon
is, this is the first shed you come to when you first enter the
Ranch.

Wake him up by simply talking to him, and play the game he has for
you. When you succeed you will get a bottle of Lon Lon milk, which
gives you 3 extra hearts when drunk, however what you want is the
bottle itself.
Head out of the ranch, and head back to Kokiri Forest and to the Lost
Woods, its behind Mido's house.

The Lost Woods

This is VERY confusing, due to the fact that there are paths leading
off in almost every direction. First, go through the right hand hole,
then in the next area, go through the left hole. In the next area go
through the hole to the right hole, then go through the left hole. In
the next area go through the hole directly in front of you.

Next go through the hole to the left, then the hole to the right.
This should bring you to an area with a wolf in it. Dispose of this
howling horror by stunning it with your Deku Nuts and hitting it with
your Kokiri Sword.

When it is dead it will give you 5o Rupees (wow I wish everything was
that generous when it came to rupees, ahem moving on swiftly), now
you need to follow the path behind it. This will bring you to a maze
with enemies all over the place. Fear not though, as if you follow
this guide correctly it will be as easy as falling off a cliff.

First off, turn to the right and go down the path, blocking any
attacks with your Deku Shield. Any way, at the end of the path you
will see a pool. DO NOT go in it, instead, either run past it, or
turn right, either way the is will bring to another path. Run down it
and turn left, this will bring you to a pool, this time go in it.
Swim left and climb out, this will bring you to a path with some
stairs at the end. Run down the path, blocking anything that is fired
at you with your Deku Shield.

At the end is SARIA standing there doing nothing in particular. Go
talk to her, she will teach you Saria's Song. After the conversation
head to Kakariko Village, its on the left side of the drawbridge in
Hyrule.

Kakariko Village/ Graveyard

Like Hyrule Market you will notice that there are a lot of people
here to talk to. However there is one or two people that you need to
talk to. First off is the lady by the chicken pen. If you are not
quite sure where that is head up the stairs in front of you when you
enter the village and the pen is to the right of you.

Head over there and talk to the lady by the pen. She will tell you to
rescue her chickens that are all over the village (check out the mini
games section for more details on this game). Once all of them are
back in the pen talk to her again and she will give you a bottle.
This bottle can be used to put a fairy in. Fairies will revive you
when you run out of hearts. Isn't she generous!

Next head over to the graveyard. Its through the archway. Once inside
the graveyard go to the tombstone with the flowers. Run round the
back of it and pull/push it out of the way to reveal a small hole.
Drop down it. Run to the end and you will see a chest. Open it with A
to get the Hylian Shield. This is useful in the next dungeon.
Dodongo's Cavern. Anyway, moving swiftly on.

Run back to the other side of the chamber to be transported back to
the graveyard. Run to the very end of the graveyard and you will see
a huge stone. Stand on the Triforce symbol in front of it and play
Zelda's lullaby. You will then see a short cinema in which the stone
blows up and you see a hole. Drop down to enter the Royal Family's
Tomb.

You will drop down into a room with a locked door. To open this door
simply kill all of the Keese in the room. An easy way to do this is
to Z-Target them and hit them with your Fairy Slingshot. Once they
are all dead go up the stairs that lead to the newly opened door and
go through it.

Be careful in this room. See all the mummies. If the scream they will
paralyse Link and attack him. So to avoid this run through the green
soup (even if it is a tad harmful) to the other side of the room.
Once on the other side of the room you will see, on the wall a stave
with some notes on it. This is the Sun's Song. Read the stave by
pressing A to learn the Sun's Song. Now return to the first room and
step onto the platform to return to the graveyard. Useful Tip: To get
past the mummies play the Sun's Song. This will paralyse them for a
short period of time.

Anyway, once you are out exit the graveyard and go to the guard
standing to the left of the closed gate. To get past the guard simply
talk to him using A, then show him Zelda's Letter. He will then open
the gate for you. Well what are you waiting for GET THROUGH IT!

Death Mountain

Walk up the slope, avoiding the extremely irritating jumping spiders.
In a while you will spot the entrance to Dodongo's Cavern, but it is
blocked by a large boulder and you can't get rid of it, yet. Continue
up the path, taking a right turn when the path splits. Oh and by the
way make sure that the rolling Goron doesn't hit you because if it
does it WILL knock you off. Anyway when you turned right you should
see a city. Walk in the entrance. Welcome, to Goron City

Goron City

Again there is a lot of people to talk to in this place, but besides
that there's not much. Carefully cross the ropes to find a Goron
sitting on his own (aw!) in the middle of the platform. Go talk to
him. He will tell you about his brother Darunia the King Goron who
has locked himself up in his chamber because he is so peeved. Then
walk back across the ropes to the ledges by the entrance. Go down the
stairs all the way to the bottom level and step on the mat in front
of the door. Whip out the Fairy Ocarina and play Zelda's Lullaby.
This will cause the door to open, revealing Darunia. He says that a
song that is lush and has to do with nature will cheer him up. Play
him Saria's Song and he will get up and dance. After a rather funny
sequence he will award you with Goron's Bracelet which will allow you
to pick up bombs from Bomb flowers. Exit Goron City.

11. Death Mountain Trail/Dodongo's Cavern Entrance - The Goron's Ruby

Exit Goron City and head right. Follow the path until you come across
a Goron with two bomb flowers next to him. If you look over the edge,
you'll see the blocked up entrance to Dodongo's Cavern. Well, angle
yourself so that when you throw something down there, it will land
close to the rock that's blocking it up. When you're confident you're
at the right angle, pick up a bomb flower and lob it over the edge
and, if it landed correctly the rock will blow up and the entrance to
Dodongo's Cavern will be revealed. If you missed, don't worry just
keep trying, the bomb flowers keep re-spawning anyway. If you hit it
however, get back down to the newly opened entrance and enter the
second dungeon.

                              Dodongo's Cavern

When you first enter the dungeon, you will be in a room that appears
to have no exit. But, if you look carefully you'll see that a section
of the wall is different to the rest. Simply pick up a bomb flower
and toss it at that section of wall. When it blows up, the main room
of this dungeon will be revealed, enter. You will see a large,
circular platform with four, smaller platforms around it that lead to
different parts of the dungeon. First, we need to go to the right so
hop onto the small platform in front of you and then hop onto the
main one. Pick up the bomb and quickly jump onto the right platform
and then jump onto the next ledge. Toss the bomb at the left wall and
it will blow up, revealing a chest that contains the map.

Once you have the map, return to the main platform where the bomb
flower is. Look to the north east and you should see a large boulder
on a flat ledge. Pick up the bomb and jump over to the boulder. Toss
the bomb at the boulder and, when it blows up it will reveal a
switch. Activate it to elevate a nearby platform, and then hop on the
platform. When the platform has taken you as high as it can, head to
the bridge and follow it all the way to the end alcove. There you'll
find a switch activates it and one of the nearby torches will catch
fire and the door below where you are now will open. For now, ignore
the ignited torch and hop down and go through the door.

Here, you'll encounter two Beamos which should be avoided at all
costs. You will also see a load of bombs. in a line with a gap in the
middle. Well, pick up a bomb off the end of the line and toss it to
the middle gap and watch as a chain reaction is set off and a set of
stairs is created, obviously, you now go up them. In this new room,
you have to collect the six rupees that are dotted around the place.
There are four in crates (one of which is easy to miss as it's on the
bottom floor), one is under the Beamos run to it, grab the rupee and
run back again before the Beamos can hit you with its laser and one
is on the vine ladder. Once all have been collected, the door will
open, go through it.

You will immediatley be confronted by two Baby Dodongos. These are
easily dispatched by a good old dose of the slingshot or sword. After
both of them are dead, a chest will spawn. In it is the compass, now
exit the room via the newly opened door. Now, go across the bridge
and enter the next room. This room is mega-easy. Simply push one of
the three blocks under the torches and light them all with a deku
stick to unlock the exit door, exit. Told you it was easy!! In the
next room, kill all the spiders and grab the gold skulltula from
under the right crates. Now exit the room.

Now, in the torch room, we have lit the second fire that was
previously unlit. Jump over to the platform with the torch and light
up a deku stick now look behind it to the alcove, that's where you
need to be so quickly hop over there and light the first torch you
come to. Now kill the skulltula using the deku stick, then take out
another stick and light it up now head to the other torch and light
that as well. Do you see the block that's blocking your way, well
ignore it and head down to find another block, that's the one you
want so grab it and pull it to the next platform. Now use it as a
stepping-stone to the platform and kill the skulltula you'll find
there.

Now, follow the hallway, killing all the monsters as you go. When you
come across a bomb flower, light up a deku stick and travel up the
flower itself. This should make the bomb go down so grab it and toss
it to the wall at the end of the hall. Now exit through the door.
This next room contains two Lizalfos which are seriously annoying,
but surprisingly easy to beat. L-Target one of them and put up your
shield. When he attacks you, move and then do a lunge attack on him.
Two or three of these should easily take him out so repeat the
process on the other one. Once they're both dead, the exit door will
open so exit through this door.

In this area, you'll notice a keese flying around the area. Kill it
before proceeding because it will make your life hell in this room.
Now, travel around the room and break all the crates in this room for
some recovery hearts and other useful stuff. Now, go back to where
you came in and fire a slingshot seed at the yellow switch to
activate it. Now, leap to the next platform and go left to the alcove
in the wall. Kill the keese you'll see flying around and throw the
nearby bomb at the boulder in the north east corner. Activate the
switch and head to the light coloured switch and whack it with your
sword. Now, head back to the original platform and use the others to
get to the other end of this room. Once you're out of this room, go
left and collect the ten rupees. Now, go back to the hallway and head
over to the other one. Grab a bomb and toss it against the boulders
to unblock your way. Now, grab another bomb and jump down the hole to
your left and bomb the wall with a crack in it. Use the white
platform to the left as a stepping- stone to the platform with a bomb
flower on it. Now, if you need a red potion to top up your health
then bomb the wall to your right and buy one for 40 rupees. But if
you are fine for health then bomb the boulder to reveal another bomb
flower. Pick it up and toss it to the right, where all the other
bombs are and it should ignite a chain reaction, which will uncover
an eye. Use your slingshot to shoot the eye and finally open up the
exit..

Make your way across the hallway, killing the baby dodongos as you
go. At the end of the hallway is a room with two Lizalfos. To kill
them simply L-Target one of them and put up your shield. When he
attacks you, move and then do a lunge attack on him. Two or three of
these should easily take him out so repeat the process on the other
one. Once they're both dead, the exit door will open so exit into the
next room.

In the next room you'll see a treasure chest. Open it to find the
bomb bag. Now you can finally make bombs yourself (bomberman,
anyone?) now, use the platform to travel up to the second floor. Now,
jump onto the skull and put bombs in both of its eyes. This will
cause its mouth to drop down and you'll be able to enter it, do so.
Go through the left opening and follow the hallway. Now go left and
pull on the gravestone. Some Lizalfos will pop up so dispatch them
using the usual methods and then pull on the other two gravestones.
Throw a bomb over the rocks and it will activate the switch, which
turns off the flames in this area. Now, head over the blocks and keep
pulling the gravestones until you reach a tunnel on the right hand
side before a set of statues. Dispose of the ghost there and pull on
the gravestone to receive a blue rupee (worth 5).

You'll now need to get rid of all the statues in this room. Simply
throw two bombs at each one to kill them all and then head through
the newly created opening. At the end of the hallway you'll see, yet
another, gravestone. Pull it and it will reveal a switch. Push it and
go through the door that opens. Now, plant a bomb on the section of
the floor that's different and fall through the hole.

                  Infernal Dinosaur: King Dodo go
                              Difficulty 3/10

This guy is even easier than Queen Gohma was. When you start the
fight, he will start rolling towards you so get to the edge of the
lava pit (don't fall in though) and when he stops, he will open his
mouth and shoot fire at you. Before he shoots fire though, get to him
and throw a bomb into his mouth. When it explodes inside him, he will
be knocked down, temporarily. While he's down, hit him as many times
as you can, I recommend at least three, if not four. When he gets up
again, simply repeat the process until he's defeated. It will take
about four or five "knock downs" to defeat him, depending on how many
times you hit him while he's down.

When he's dead collect the heart container and step into the blue
warp point.

After defeating King Dodongo, you'll emerge outside Dodongo's Cavern
and you'll meet up with Darunia and a few other Gorons. Darunia says
that what you did was a truly brave thing and you have earned the
Goron's Ruby. After giving you this, he says that you and him are now
sworn brothers and if ever you need anything, don't hesitate to ask
him. Then he says "how about a big Goron hug!" and Link runs off,
screaming. Hilarious if you ask me.

Anyway, after the cutscene, our next priority is getting a magic
meter. The Great Fairy who lives up on the top of Death Mountain
should be able to help you with this. So, from where you are now,
carry on up the hill until you see a red flag. To the left of this is
a ledge with a few rocks. Blow the first one up so you can climb up
to the ledge, then bomb the second one so you can see the third one
on the ledge opposite. Throw another bomb over to it and it should
explode and create a path for you. If it doesn't, just keep trying.
Anyway, jump over the gap and follow the path round until you get to
a valley type area with (what looks like) a clear path to the end. I
can assure you, that's exactly what it ISN'T.

You see it's called Death Mountain for a reason. That reason is that
it's an active volcano, which is prone to exploding at any time. As
you head across this valley, that's what it will do and you'll be
showered with rocks and other hard stuff. The way to get round this
is to run as fast as you can and, when it erupts simply cover
yourself up with the Hylian Shield and the rocks and stuff will
bounce off that and you won't get hit.

So, after you get to the ladder at the end, take out your slingshot
and kill the skulltulas on the ladder. Once they're gone, climb the
ladder and hop onto the ledge on the left. Now, use your slingshot to
kill the skulltula that is at the top of the ladder, now proceed up
to the top. Once at the top, head over to the rock wall to the left
of the sign and bomb it to reveal the entrance to the Great Fairy's
fountain. Enter. Once inside, head over to the triforce symbol and
play Zelda's Lullaby on it to waken the Great Fairy. She will give
you a magic meter that allows you to perform certain spells and
perform special moves. After you have the magic meter, head back
outside and you'll meet up with the owl from the castle. When he
offers you a lift back down to Kakariko Village, hold onto his talons
and let him fly back down with you.

When you arrive back in Kakariko, drop off the roof (there is a heart
piece available here but don't get it now) and travel back to Hyrule
Castle. This time though, instead of going to where the first two
guards are, go right and you'll come to a dead end. Bomb the rocks
and a hole will be revealed. Head through it to find the second great
fairy. Again, stand on the triforce symbol and play Zelda's Lullaby
to waken her. This time, she'll give you Din's Fire. It's a spell
that sets fire to everything within a certain radius. Now, I'd better
tell you how to get spiritual stone number three instead of rambling
on about nothing. So, we first need to get to Zora's Domain.

Collecting 3rd Spiritual Stone

Zora's Domain

To get to Zora's Domain head to the stairs that lead to Kakariko
Village and follow the wall to the right. Pretty soon you should find
a river. Follow it and you will eventually come to Zora's River.
Here, follow the path to the bean seller who is sitting in front of a
barred gate. Buy some beans from him and plant them in the nearby
soft soil, this will make coming back to Zora's Domain in the future
a lot easier. Now, head back to where there is a small gap so you can
jump over to the other side of the river (it's near the entrance to
Zora's River) and cross to the other side. Now, you need to follow he
river up to the waterfall. Once you're up there, stand on the
triforce symbol and play Zelda's lullaby and the waterfall will open.
Jump across into Zora's Domain.

Zora's Domain

Hot Damn! Those Zoras are sexy, sorry just a little author's opinion,
thought I'd mention it, Anyway moving on, the first thing we need to
do in this area is to get the silver scales so we can dive further.
So, head up the stairs as though you were going to see King Zora but,
just before you get to the chamber, turn left and you'll see a Zora
on top of a waterfall. Go and talk to him to start the game.
Basically, you have a certain amount of time to collect all the
rupees that the Zora threw into the water. There are, I think about
five or six in total. Once you have them all, go back up to the Zora
and she'll give you the Silver Scales. You can now dive up to 6
meters underwater!! After you've got the Silver Scale, head back down
to the water and swim over to the ladder. Now, dive down and you'll
see a hole, head through it and you'll be warped to Lake Hylia.

12. Lake Hylia/ The King's Chamber - The Zora's Sapphire

When you arrive in Lake Hylia, you'll need to collect Princess Ruto's
note which is in a bottle at the bottom of the lake. The bottle is
near the place where the warp hole brought you out so collect it. The
note reads:
Help me. I'm waiting for you
                             Inside Lord Jabu Jabu's Belly

                                      Princess Ruto
                                P.S. Don't tell my father!!

With the note head back to Zora's domain via the warp hole. Once
you're back there head back to the King Zora and show him the note.
He'll keep the note but he'll let you keep the bottle. He says that
he wants you to go and rescue his daughter. But to do that you need
to get inside Jabu Jabu so you'll now need to catch a fish to feed to
Lord Jabu Jabu. So, head to the pool of water which is near the
zora's shop and catch a fish from there. Once you have a fish, head
to the King Zora's chamber and climb up to his ledge and go behind
him and follow the path to find Lord Jabu Jabu. But, instead of going
inside him, head to the right and swim to the far corner. Once there,
you'll notice some boulders. Blow them up with a bomb and head inside
the cave that opens up. This is the great fairy's fountain. Play
Zelda's Lullaby to wake her up. She'll give you Farore's Wind which
will warp you back to an area in a dungeon or temple this will come
in handy in the next dungeon. Now, head back to Lord Jabu Jabu and
empty the bottle with the fish in it and he will suck you and the
fish inside him.

13. Lord Jabu Jabu's Belly

Ignore the Octorok and blow up the boulder behind it. This will
reveal a switch so press it and a chest will spawn, containing the
dungeon map. Once you have collected the dungeon map, look to your
right and you'll see what looks like a cow. Shoot it with your
slingshot and a chest will spawn, containing a Deku Nut. Now, look to
the left and you'll see another cow, shoot it to unlock the exit.

In the next room, you'll be attacked by a jellyfish. Stun it with a
deku nut and then give it a few good, hard whacks with your sword to
kill it. Once it's dead, then head down the chasm and unlock the
chest to get another deku nut (it's a good idea to save all these
Deku Nuts, believe me they will come in handy when it comes to the
boss and mini-boss). Now, jump into the water and swim down and enter
the hole. When you get to a cow in the water, climb out onto the
nearby platform and shoot at it to make the chest containing the
compass spawn, collect the compass and then activate the nearby
switch to open the door on the first floor. Climb on the moving
platform to get back to the first floor quickly and then jump to
where the door is and head through.

DAMN!! An ugly looking thing from the depths of Jabu Jabu, whip out
your sword and whack... Oh wait sorry, false alarm. It's just the Zora
Princess Ruto. Talk to her and she'll tell you that you don't need to
be here, she can look after herself. Shortly after telling you this
however, she falls down a weird vortex thing, so she clearly does
need your help, which is why you also have to fall down the vortex,
it must be the same vortex, or you'll appear in a different part of
the dungeon. Anyway, once you're close to Princess Ruto, talk to her
and she'll tell you to go away. Talk to her again however and she'll
let you carry her. But, before picking her up however, shoot the cow
at the opposite side of the room and you'll reveal a chest containing
a bombchu. Take it if you like, you won't actually need a bombchu for
a while yet, but they are handy if you run out of bombs.
Anyway, now return to Ruto and pick her up. Step on the switch on the
bottom to activate a water geyser, ride it all the way up and then
jump off it to the platform with the blue switch. Put Ruto on the
switch to open a nearby door and then enter it.

When you enter, you'll be confronted by a new enemy, the Lizadlof.
It's a little like the Lizadlfo from Dodongo's Cavern in that it's
attacks are quite similar. The way to kill it is to lob a deku nut at
it to stun it and then do a lunge (L+A) to kill it. When you lunge
though, watch out for the Like Like (the fat, slimy thing that keeps
moving around like a jelly). Once the Lizadlof is gone, we need to
deal with the Like Like. These things are really dangerous because,
even though they don't take away much health they will eat your
weapons and tunics which is never a good thing. So, throw a deku nut
to stun it and then kill it using your lunge attack. Now, you can
kill all the other enemies in this room without worrying about the
two dangerous ones. After they're all dead, a chest will spawn which
contains the last weapon you'll receive as a child. The Boomerang.
Now, head through the newly opened passage and you'll re-appear back
in the room you were in just before you met Ruto. Ride the platform
up to the first floor and go through the door to the room where Ruto
was (the one with all the vortexes).

Run past the first vortex and look up at the right wall and you
should see a boulder sticking out. To destroy it easily, aim your
bombchu at it and let it go. Or, you could just throw a bomb at it
and hope it lands on the boulder and destroy it that way, but I think
the bombchu method is much easier. Either way, once the boulder is
gone you'll see a cow on the wall where it was. Shoot it and the door
will open. But, the door is being blocked by a sponge like tentacle,
no problem. Fire the boomerang at it and it will be temporarily
stunned. Simply climb on top of it and climb up to where the door is.

In this room, you'll be confronted by some Lizalfos. Destroy them
using the usual method, but if you've forgotten what that is, I'll
tell you again. L-Target one of them and put up your shield. When he
attacks you, move and then do a lunge attack on him. Two or three of
these should easily take him out so repeat the process on the others
and then throw a bomb at the boulder to destroy it and reveal the
exit the exit door, but the exit door is too high for you to get to.
No problem. Simply look behind you and then look to the right. There
should be some blocks there. Well, pull/push one up to the door's
ledge and use it to climb up access the door, now exit this room.

In this next room, you'll notice a red, tongue like creature. Well,
get close to it so it comes down but, before it actually hits you,
whip out your boomerang, l-target it and fire. With a bit of look, it
will hit the tentacle you need to do this 3 or 4 more times to
destroy it and unlock the exit. Head left and enter the door that
isn't blocked by the web (obviously) and shoot both cows to bring out
the two Like Likes that were waiting to ambush you. Kill them by
stunning them with your deku nuts and then doing a lunge on one of
them, and then the other. I find that the best thing to do is to stun
both of them, then, while you're hacking chunks out of one of them,
its mate won't be able to attack you and eat any of your weapons.
Once both are down, a chest will spawn which has in it a deku stick.
Light it up on the torch that also just came alight and then go back
to the door that was blocked by the web. Burn the web and go through
the newly opened door.

You'll now see another tongue like creature, which should be
dispatched using the same methods as the previous one. After he's
dead go back out and go back to the part where the blocks you used
are. Now, head through the left door and you'll meet another tongue
like creature. Kill it and then return to the previous room and use
the door which you haven't yet been through. In this room, kill all
the enemies and then blow up the boulder in the upper-right of the
ceiling to kill a golden skulltula. Activate the geyser by activating
the switch in the middle of the room and ride it up to the token's
level. Now, L-target the token and fire your boomerang at it to make
it come to you. Now for a really long trek back to where we left
Ruto!!

Once you arrive back to Ruto, pick her up and press the middle switch
to activate the water geyser. Now, use it to jump to the highest
platform in this room. Enter the next room and what's this we find
here? It's the third spiritual stone. The Zora's Sapphire. Ruto will
tell you to throw her up to the platform where the Zora's Sapphire
is, so do so. However, when she's up there, the platform moves and
Ruto says something like "what's this, urrghh!! An Octopus!!" Now we
have problems.

It seems that when Ganondorf made Jabu Jabu sick, the spell caused
him to eat the sapphire. In case this did happen, Ganaondorf put in
two evil monsters to make sure the stone was brought immediately to
him, should it get eaten. One of these two monsters is right in front
of you, but is actually incredibly easy to defeat, if you've been
saving your Deku Nuts and have a fairly good supply (i.e. 8+) What
you need to do is hit the green thing on his ass with your sword.
But, to get him to do that, you need to either stun him while he's
got his back to you or hit him with a deku nut and make him spin
around so that his backside is facing you. You need to hit his green
ass (!) about five times to defeat him, good luck!!

Once he's dead, the spiked platform in the middle will turn back into
a normal platform/elevator so ride it back up to the first floor.
Fire a slingshot seed at the cow on the wall to spawn a block, which
you need to drag to the platform you rode up on. Now, climb on it and
stun the sponge with your boomerang. Quickly drag the block over to
the sponge and use it to jump to the sponge. Now, stun the next
sponge and jump to it. No, jump to that sponge and then jump again to
the switch and activate the switch by dropping the block on it. Now,
exit through the newly opened door. Jump to the nearest platform and
use it as an elevator to the area below. Shoot the cow and then open
the chest to receive a recovery heart, all this charging about all
over the place is sure to have lost you some health. Now enter the
door next to the chest and kill both the Like Likes with either you
slingshot or your deku seeds and sword, at this stage I'd advise
using you slingshot but it's entirely up to you. Anyway, once they're
both dead, shoot the cow on the left to get a chest, which has in it
either a deku shield if you don't have one or a blue rupee (worth 5)
if you do. Finally shoot the right cow and it will rise slightly,
shoot it again and it will rise some more, shoot it a third time
however and the exit door will unlock. Enter this door and we now
have the boss to deal with.

                  Bio-Electrical Animode - Barinade
                          Difficulty 6/10

If the actual dungeon didn't knacker you, then this boss certainly
will come close because, in order to survive you have be moving
constantly and you can't afford to stop for more than a few seconds.
The actual boss is the light blue (ish) thing in the middle of the
circle of jellyfish. Throughout this battle, he will constantly use
methods of attack which prevent you from getting anywhere near him to
do any real damage. But, before thinking about defeating him, the
jellyfish that are protecting him must first be dealt with. You will
see that the jellyfish circle Barinade in a fairly large circle so
you can't get close enough to hit them with your sword. So "how do I
hit them"? I hear you ask, well the answer is simple. Get a fair
distance away from them (close enough so you can run to Barinade
quickly), L-Target Barinade and fire your boomerang at him to stun
him. Now, l-Target one of the jellyfish and quickly fire your
boomerang at it to destroy it. Now, continue firing your boomerang at
each jellyfish in order to destroy it, remember we need to take them
all out so don't waste too much time. If Barinade recovers then it's
no big deal, simply fire your boomerang at him again to stun him and
continue killing the jellyfish. After they're all dead, Barinade will
rise up and some more jellyfish will protect him. This time though,
he will circle them around his body and begin following you around
the room, making constant movement even more important. You have to
follow the same procedure as last time, but this time however,
Barinade is moving so your boomerang will not always hit him as the
jellyfish provide a sort of shield. However, I've found a little
trick, which makes hitting her less of a chore. What you have to do
is get to where a few of the pots are so you have a good supply of
health if this trick goes wrong and L-Target Barinade. Now, head
round to the left of him and you'll notice there aren't as many
jellyfish there so quickly, fire a boomerang at Barinade and it
should (if you're aim was good) stun him. Now, VERY quickly, L-Target
the jellyfish and fire the boomerang at each one of them. If you have
to, then re-stun Barinade, but you shouldn't have to if you're quick.
After the jellyfish are gone, Barinade is finally exposed as the boss
that has no means of defence, however his attacks are still very
powerful so you still need to keep on your toes. L-Target him and
begin circling him (don't get too close) and when he's not firing
electricity at you, throw your boomerang at him and he will be
stunned. Quickly run over to him and begin hacking away at him, you
should be able to hit him about three to four times before he gets
back up again. You now need to repeat this twice more, so that he
will start attacking you in a different way. After you've stunned and
attacked him three times, he will go back into the floor and start
firing electricity waves in random directions. To avoid this, simply
get up (fairly) close, L-Target him and fire your boomerang at him to
stun him, now run up to him and give him three good whacks with your
sword. You now need to repeat this process until you've stunned and
attacked him for a total of nine times (throughout the fight that is,
not just this part of it) after you've done this, he is finally
defeated so grab the heart container and step into the blue warp.

After the cut scene during which Ruto decides she wants you to marry
her, she will give you the Zora's Sapphire. This not only means that
you have all three spiritual stones and need to return to Zelda at
Hyrule Castle but it also means that you can now turn into an adult!!
But, first things first let's go and see Zelda to start with. So,
exit Zora's Domain and make your way to the drawbridge, which leads
to Hyrule Castle Town Market. When you arrive at the bridge however,
a cutscene takes over.

During the cutscene, Link approaches the drawbridge but a white
Stallion comes pelting out of the gates. Impa is on it and Zelda is
holding on at the back. Shortly after, Ganondorf comes pelting out on
a black Gerudo Stallion. He starts muttering to himself until, he
sees Link, trying to hide. He asks you where Impa and Zelda went but
Link says nothing. Ganondorf then gets really annoyed and gallops
off, in search of Impa and Zelda. However, before Zelda got too far
away, she threw something into the moat that surrounds the town. So,
when the cutscene is over, jump into the moat and dive down to
collect the object. It's the Ocarina of Time!! We can now travel
through time.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Before travelling through time, do all the mini-games,
collect all the heart pieces and do anything else that you can do as
a child. I would also advise you have at least 90 rupees as when
you're an adult, many things change. END AUTHOR'S NOTE

14. The Temple of Time

So, with the ocarina of time head into the market and head to the
Temple of Time. It is to the right of the Happy Mask Shop. When
you're in the temple of time, head forward and approach the grey slab
with three markings in it. Take out your newly acquired ocarina and
play the Song Of Time.

A cutscene will then begin where all three spiritual stones will rise
up and place themselves in the three marked sections in the grey
slab. This will open up a door, behind the slab. Head through it and
you'll find the legendary Master Sword. Walk up to it and push the
action button to pull it out of the pedestal to activate another
cutscene, during which, we enter the sacred realm and meet Rauru, The
Light Sage. Who tells you all about your "Destiny" as the Hero of
Time and how Hyrule has been turned into a place of horror and
nightmares because Ganondorf entered the sacred realm after you and
obtained the Triforce. You must now free the spirits in each of the
seven temples throughout Hyrule so you and them can help defeat
Ganondorf and seal him up forever. Wow!! We do have some work to do.

So, after being warped back to the Temple of Time as an Adult, head
out of the Temple and - oh wait, who's that weird looking dude that's
stood in front of the Master Sword's pedestal, let's go find out.
Head over to her and she'll introduce himself and tell you her name
is Sheik. She will also tell you that you should first visit Saria in
The Forest Temple, but he also tells you that with your present
equipment you can't even enter the Temple and need to go and collect
"the treasure" from Kakariko Village.

So, exit the Temple of Time and head back into the market and prepare
for a very big shock. The market is completely destroyed and is now a
place that you only see in nightmares, and the rest of Hyrule isn't
much better either. As I already explained, Ganondorf now rules all
and the whole of Hyrule is now a land full of evil and despair, but,
not letting that put you off, exit the market and head back out into
Hyrule field. Remember that Sheik said to go to Kakariko Village and
collect "the treasure" well don't, we'll get to that soon, but now we
need to get ourselves a quicker mode of transportation so head to Lon
Lon Ranch. It's time to collect Epona.

NOTE: Remember when I told you to have at least 80 rupees before you
went through time, well this bit is where you need them so be sure to
have at least 80 rupees before entering the ranch.

When you enter Lon Lon Ranch, enter the door on the right to find
Malon, hiding in the cowshed. Talk to her and she'll tell you all
about how Ingo took over the ranch and kicked Talon (the real owner)
out and threatened to start treating the animals badly if Malon
didn't do exactly what he wanted, well, we'd better do something
about that!! Exit the cowshed and go and talk to Ingo who is by the
horse riding pen. Pay him the extortionate amount of 10 rupees to
ride a horse. Instead of getting on the horse that is already there,
play Epona's Song and she'll come. Get on her and jump over the two
fences to get back your 10 rupees and keep riding around until the
time is up, pay Ingo another 10 rupees to ride a horse again. Like
before, play Epona's song and get on her. This time though, jump over
the two fences to get your 10 rupees back but then, come back to Ingo
and talk to him while on Epona he will then challenge you to a race
with a 50 rupee wager. Pay him and get ready to race. When you set
off, use two carrot boosts to get you a good lead and then only use
them if he looks as though he's about to over-take you. Anyway, after
you beat him, he'll challenge you to another race this time however,
the wager is Epona. So, if you use the same techniques as last time,
this should be a cinch. After you beat him, he will get super mad and
give you Epona but he will also prohibit you from leaving the ranch.
So, to get out simply get to the other side of the ranch and run and
jump over the gate. Congratulations!! You've just got yourself a very
useful mode of transportation; play Epona's song anytime while on
Hyrule Field to get her to come to you.

Now, we need to go to Kakariko Village and get the special "treasure"
that Sheik mentioned. So, head over to Kakariko Village and head to
the graveyard. Now, look to the left and you should see a tombstone
with some flowers in front of it, this is Dampe's tombstone. Pull it
to reveal a hole, drop down into the tunnel. Follow this tunnel and
pretty soon you'll meet up with Dampe, in spirit form. He challenges
you to a race, accept and begin following him. This isn't actually a
race it's more of a test of how fast you can run and how good you are
at following people through passages and over jumps. You can't
actually beat him, so you just have to keep up with him and follow
him to the end. One thing to watch out for though is the flame that
he will throw in your direction from time to time as they will trip
you up and put you out of action for a few seconds by which time
you'll have lost Dampe. Anyway, once you've followed him to the end,
he will give you his treasure... The Hookshot!! Now, exit through the
left opening and you'll come across a blue block with the triforce
symbol on it. Play the Song of Time to get rid of it and head through
the gap you'll find and you'll arrive at the top level of the
windmill. Jump onto the revolving platform and then onto the ground
floor and exit the windmill.

We now need to go to Kokiri Forest and visit the temple like Sheik
suggested. So, head back across Hyrule Field and enter Kokiri Forest.
When you enter the forest you'll see that even this quiet little
place has become hellish and full of evil stuff, that's partially why
we're here. Anyway, head to The Lost Woods. In case you don't
remember the path through, I'll tell you again. First, go through the
right hand hole, then in the next area, go through the left hole. In
the next area go through the hole to the right hole, then go through
the left hole. In the next area go through the hole directly in front
of you. Next go through the hole to the left, then the hole to the
right. Early on in this bit, you'll be stopped by Mido who says he
can't let anyone pass who Saria doesn't know. To get past him play
Saria's Song to prove you know Saria. Now continue until you get to
the big maze.

NOTE: This place has changed a lot since you were last here as a kid.
There are now Moblins that will simply charge at you and spear you.
The way to get past them is to press L and quickly strafe round the
corner to check what's around it.

First off, turn to the right and go down the path, avoiding/killing
any Moblins you see. At the end of the path you will see a pool. DO
NOT go in it, instead, either run past it, or turn right, either way
the is will bring to another path. Run down it and turn left, this
will bring you to another pool, this time go in it. Swim left and
climb out, this will bring you to a path with some stairs at the end.
Run down the path and stop when you see the Giant Moblin with a club.
This Moblin won't attack you like the other Moblins did but he will
send shockwaves at you with his club that do some serious damage. The
way to get past him is to run left and right so you avoid the
shockwaves and, when you get up close to him hit him three times with
your Master Sword. Now, run up the stairs behind him to get to where
Saria was as a kid. Run up to the platform with the Triforce symbol
on it and Sheik will appear and teach you the Minuet of Forest that
warps you back to this spot, should you ever need to come back here
again. Now, use your hookshot to jump to the branch above you and
head through the entrance to The Forest Temple.

15. The Forest Temple

Look to the right and you'll see some vines with a few skulltulas on
them, some are too high for you to reach but those that are
accessible should be killed using the hookshot. After you've killed
all the skulltulas you can, begin climbing the vines until you get to
a place where you can climb onto a tree on the left. From here you'll
easily be able to kill the remaing skulltulas so do so and then hop
onto the next tree and activate the switch to spawn a chest on a
nearby branch, use your hookshot to get to it and open it to find
your first small key for this dungeon. Now enter the locked door.

In this next room, there will be a few giant skulltulas. Don't bother
waiting for them to show you their under-belly, simply fire the
hookshot at them and they will instantly die. After they're gone,
head through the exit door.

At the far end of this chamber is a set of stairs with a door at the
top. Head over to this door and go through it. You should see a blue
block with the Triforce symbol on it. Like before, play the song of
time to get rid of it and go through the door it was blocking. You'll
now have to fight two white wolfos. The strategy for killing them is
simple. When they attack, jump out of the way and do a lunge attack
on their backs.

Head through the door on the very far end at the top of the stairs.
Play the song of time in front of the block to make it disappear,
then go through another door. Here you'll fight two wolvos. Killing
them is easy, simply wait until they attack and then quickly jump out
of their way and do a lunge attack on their backs. After they're both
dead, you'll get a small key. Exit this room and go back to the main
room.

Now, head through the east door to your right and you'll encounter a
flaming skeleton. Simply put its fire out with your shield and hit it
with your sword, once it's dead, head through the exit door. Now,
head back to the main room and head right to the east door. Go
through it and defeat the flaming skeleton to unlock the exit. In the
next room, head up the ladder in front of you and then head up the
ladder to the right. Head left and then go left again to find a blue
block. Pull this block out and climb over it (ignore the ladder) and
then head down the path. Follow this path to another blue block and
push it all the way until it goes over the edge. Now head back to the
ladder I told you to ignore and climb up it. To the right of the
ladder should be a red block, so pull it out as far as it will go.
Now return to the blue block you pushed over the edge. Use this block
as a stepping-stone to the area to the right of the block. You will
now see the red block you pulled out, now you need to push it as far
as it will go to unveil a switch. Activate the switch with your sword
and it will span some targets and blocks, which will form your
shortcut back to the second floor, should you ever need to come back
here. For now though, head right and kill the blue bubbles by
stunning them with your hookshot and then whacking them once with
your sword. Now, unlock the door behind them with your small key.
Head down the hallway and keep a close eye on the ceiling. When you
see a shadow, Navi will tell you that there is a Wallmaster on the
ceiling above you. This enemy is probably the hardest enemy to beat
so don't engage it in combat, simply manevour yourself around it and
drop down to the right area and unlock the big chest to get the Boss
Key, don't get excited, we are no where near the boss yet.

Near the boss key chest is another hole so drop down that one and
you'll be back in the first floor. You'll now be confronted by a
floormaster. This enemy is the same as the floormaster but (a) it
haunts the floor and not the ceiling and (b) it's way easier to kill.
The way to kill it is to L-target it and do a lunge attack. This will
split the hand into three smaller hands. You need to quickly kill
them using the same method as you did on the big one. Be careful
though as if one hand attaches itself to you, it will suck a lot of
health off you and grow back to its normal size. Anyway, once it's
dead, go through the door that opens.

Head to the right and go through the little alcove you'll find there.
Head into the next room and kill the re-dead before it has chance to
scream at you, now open the chest that spawns to get another small
key. Head back out of this room and go through the right door.
Activate the switch, jump down and use the hookshot targets to return
to the second floor. Head through the twisted hallway and use the
platforms to get to the unlocked door at the end, once there exit the
room.

In the next room, you'll see a Poe in the paintings, ignore it for
now and head into the next room and you'll be confronted by a
Stalfos. Please note that even though he can walk over the hole in
the middle of the arena, you CAN'T so don't try. Anyway to kill this
guy L-target him and backflip out of his way when he attacks you then
quickly do a lunge attack on his back. Two of these should kill him.
After he's gone, tow more come to join in dispatch them the same way
you did the first one but be quick as if you kill one you have
approximately a minute (or less) to kill the other one or the first
one will come back to life, big goron's sword would help but this
battle isn't any harder if you don't have it yet. Anyway, after
they're gone a chest will spawn. Open it to find the fairy bow. Yay!
Now you can really kick ass!! Now, return to the area where there was
a Poe in a painting.

When you get back there, walk slowly around the area and look for a
Poe's face in a painting. When you spot it, stay far away from it and
fire an arrow at it. If you hit the Poe, it will move to one of the
other paintings in the area (there are only two more paintings it can
hide in). Head to that painting and fire an arrow at it, now head to
the last painting and fire another arrow at it, and it will finally
come out and begin the fight with you. To kill her, whack her with
your sword when she's visible, you need to do this five times after
which she will be gone and one of the flames in the main room will
re-light. Open the chest that will spawn and collect the dungeon map.
Now return to the room where you fought the Stalfos and head through
the other door,

You will now be in a room that looks like the previous room where you
fought the Poe. So, walk slowly around the area and look for a Poe's
face in a painting. When you spot it, stay far away from it and fire
an arrow at it. If you hit the Poe, it will move to one of the other
paintings in the area (there are only two more paintings it can hide
in). Head to that painting and fire an arrow at it, now head to the
last painting and fire another arrow at it, and it will finally come
out and begin the fight with you. To kill her, whack her with your
sword when she's visible, you need to do this five times after which
she will be gone and another of the flames in the main room will re-
light. Open the chest that will spawn and collect the compass. Now,
go back to the main room on the first floor. In the main room, there
is a tunnel on the back-right side with an eyeball over it. Shoot it
with an arrow to unlock the barred door, now go through it.

Kill the Deku BaBa before it has chance to attack you and then head
left to the well. Look into the well (don't fall in!!) and you'll see
yet another eyeball, shoot it with your bow and the well will be
drained. Go down into the well and open the chest at the far end to
collect a small key.

Now, go back up to the area with the Deku Baba. Go back to where you
entered this area and you'll see a hookshot target with a gold
skulltula. Kill the skulltula and use the target to get back up to
the second floor. Play the Song of Time and three blocks will spawn.
Creating a ladder that leads up to a set of vines. Climb them and go
up the vine ladder and you'll be on a balcony with a chest on it,
open the chest to get a small key.

Now on this balcony should be a hookshot target, which you can use to
access a door above you do so and go through the door. Use your
hookshot to kill the skulltula and then go over to the flaming torch.
Position yourself so that if you fired an arrow, it would fly through
the fire and burn the web. When you're confident that you're in such
a position, fire an arrow and with a bit of luck, it will be set on
fire and burn the web, creating an exit. which you now need to use.

Return to the room where you fought Poe number 2 and go through the
locked door. Now, jump diagonally to the right ledge and pull
yourself up. Head down the hall ignoring the green bubble things and
unlock the end door. Jump to the right platform and pick up the box.
Take this box over to the switch and put it on the switch. This will
ignite the central flame. Jump onto one of the platforms that are
rotating round the one with the torch on and aim your bow at the
torch and when it's opposite the frozen eye, fire and it should hit
the ice and unlock the exit. Now, exit this room.

Fall through the hole and you'll emerge in a room where the ceiling
falls down every so often. I found this room a nightmare to do so
here's what to do. Shoot the 4 skulltulas and then run over to the
right switch and activate it to spawn a chest on the other side of
the room (only get the chest if you really really need the arrows,
seriously it's not worth taking the risk if you don't need them.)
Now, activate the left switch and go though the door that it unlocks.
Go down to the grassy area and collect the small key from the chest.

Now, play the song of time and some blocks will spawn which allow you
to access the room with the falling ceiling. Climb back up to that
room and this time, run to the locked door an use your small key to
unlock it and exit this hellish room.

On the left wall of this new room is a picture of the penultimate
Poe. Look at that picture and make sure you know exactly what it
looks like. Once you're confident you know what it looks like then
fire an arrow at it and some blocks will spawn which have a bit of
that picture on each of them. What you have to do is push/pull the
blocks together so you make a picture of the third Poe. You have to
be quick because the timer is set for one minute. The puzzle is a
random one so there is little I can do to help you. Anyway, after the
picture is complete the Poe will actually come out and fight you.
Defeat her using the same techniques as before and then head through
the exit door and you'll find yourself back in the main room. In the
main room, you'll find the fourth and final Poe.

This one will spin around and split into four separate Poes, three of
which are fake. What you need to do is look at each one and the one
that spins around quickly is the real one so shoot that one with an
arrow. You need to shoot her five times to defeat her. After she is
dead, the final flame will re-light and the platform in the middle
will turn into an elevator so ride it all the way down into the final
puzzle area of this dungeon. In this area, push the wall anti-
clockwise and collect the arrows from inside the chest. Now, push the
wall anti-clockwise and fire your hookshot at the switch then
activate the next switch in front of you. Now, push the wall anti-
clockwise twice more. Opposite the opening in the wall should be an
eye so shoot it with an arrow and head up the path and open up the
boss door. Enter the room and head into the middle of the platform.

Evil Spirit From Beyond: Phantom Ganon
                         Difficulty: 7.5/10

This boss is really entertaining but he can also be a nightmare if
you're either a new player or have just forgotten completely how to
defeat him. He is actually Ganondorf in spirit form but he's twice as
hard. When the battle starts, he will gallop off into one of the
paintings on his horse. But he will then spawn a double, which will
be in another painting. If you're not quick enough, the real
Ganondorf will come from behind and zap you with a bolt of dark
magic, so it's important you get him while he's in the painting.
The trick is to keep an eye on him so you know which painting he goes
into. Then, look at the other paintings and the brighter Ganondorf is
the one you want. He'll come out of the painting and be surrounded by
a purple warp. It's then that you must hit him with an arrow. He'll
then retreat into the painting and the process will begin again.
After you've hit him with three arrows, his horse will disappear and
it'll be just him and you. Quickly, get as far back from him as you
can and L-target him. He will then fire a plasma charge at you.
Deflect it back at him with your Master Sword and he'll deflect it
back again. Carry on this game of baseball and eventually he will get
hit by it. Quickly run over to him and do a lunge attack and keep
hitting him until he gets back up. Then, run back to where you were
before and the baseball match will commence again. You need to keep
up this routine and after about ten hits, he'll be gone.

After he's gone, the real Ganondorf will come and say that even
though you defeated his ghost it won't be so easy when you come to
fight the real him. He'll then banish his spirit forever for losing
to you. After the cutscene, grab the heart container and step into
the blue warp. You'll be warped back to the Chamber of Sages and
you'll meet Saria who gives you the Forest Medallion and will add her
power to yours. You then go back to The Great Deku Tree's meadow
where the Deku Tree sprout appears and says that because you broke
the curse on the Forest Temple, the forest is now back to normal and
he can now grow in The Great Deku Tree's place. He also tells you the
truth about your life. SPOILER: Link is actually a Hylian, not a
Kokiri. END SPOILER!

After all the cut scenes are over, we need to go back seven years so
head back across Hyrule Field and make your way through the market
and into the Temple of Time. Go to the altar and talk to Sheik who
will teach you the prelude of light and tell you about travelling
through time.

Kakariko Village/Bottom of Well

It's now time to get an item that will be useful to you later on in
the game. The Lens of Truth. So head out of the market and head to
Kakariko Village. Head to the graveyard but head to the left and go
up the stairs. Enter the door and you'll emerge inside the windmill.
Go talk to the man inside and he'll tell you about this mean kid who
played this song and messed up the windmill seven years ago. Get out
your ocarina and he'll teach you the song of storms. Now, exit the
windmill, return to the Temple of Time and warp back seven years.

Once you're a kid again, head back to Kakariko Village and play the
song of storms. This will drain the well and seriously bugger up the
windmill. Anyway, after it has been drained climb down the ladder and
crawl through the gap to enter the first mini-dungeon of the game.

15. Bottom of the Well

This is actually quite an easy mini-dungeon however it is quite easy
to get lost in as there are many passages that go off in all
directions. Anyway, best get started!

Head down the passage until a re-dead comes into view. Run up to it
and hack away at it so it dies before it had the chance to do some
damage to you. Now look to the left to find a boulder, bomb it and
you'll the eye that was behind it. Close the eye by shooting it with
your slingshot and go through the gate that opens. Follow the
hallway down and turn left (when you first get the opportunity). Keep
going down this route until you come to two boulders. Blow them to
hell and then activate the switch behind them (kill the skulltula if
you wish). Now, block all thoughts of attempting to jump the gap
because you WILL fail that I guarantee so, head back to the river and
follow it. Keep an eye on the floor and when you see a triforce
symbol, stand on it and play Zelda's Lullaby. Now, shoot the switch
on the face to unlock the gate behind you.

Head through the newly unlocked gate and collect the map from the
chest. Now, use Farore's Wind and create a warp point because you
will need it. Head into the left cell and shoot the switch. Now, go
back to where there was some deep water at the start of this dungeon.
Near this water, you should have seen a hole that you could crawl
through. Well, you now need to crawl through it and get onto the
platform at the end.

You'll now fight the most annoying mini-boss in the history of Zelda.
Dead Hand. It basically consists of a load of hands, all positioned
at various points around the arena and one big, ugly thing that comes
and chomps at you when one of its hands catches you. To defeat it get
caught to lure it out and repeatedly hit A to wriggle free. Now, L-
target it and when it lowers its head and is about to bite you, do a
lunge at his head. Repeat until he dies. After its dead, bomb the
strange looking wall to the left of the entrance and grab the small
key, now exit and retrace your steps back to where you played Zelda's
Lullaby.

When you get there, head right and crawl through the passage you'll
soon come across. Fire a seed at the upper-right part of the face
painting and go through the door. In the next room, head straight for
the locked door and exit the room, ignore the floormaster completely.
In the corner of the next room, bomb the crack and activate the
switch.

Now, use Farore's Wind to warp back to the main room of this dungeon
(where you got the map from). In this room, drop down the hole behind
the chest and head to the chest that was just spawned; follow your
map to make it easier. Once you're there you'll meet some re-deads.
Play the sun's song and they will be stunned. Take this opportunity
to legit like hell over to the chest and open it to finally collect
the Lens of Truth.

Now, use the Farore's Wind Warp point to get back to where you found
the map and then re-trace your steps back to where you first entered
the well and climb back up the ladder to Kakariko Village.

Goron City/Fire Temple Entrance

Now that you've been through absolute hell to get the Lens of Truth I
have some great news for you. You won't need it for ages yet, I just
thought it better to get it early on!! Sorry, but that's just the way
I work. Anyway, return to the Temple of Time and warp forward seven
years. It's now time to get medallion number 2 and for that we need
to head back to Goron Land so head back to Death Mountain. Head up
Death Mountain and enter Goron City.

Huh? There's no-one there. All the Gorons are gone. Oh yeah, I forgot
to mention that we're gonna have to save them all soon, but for now,
go down to the third level where one Goron is rolling around. We need
to talk to him because he has something you're going to need so there
are two methods of stopping him. The first is planting a bomb in his
path so that it blows up and stops him. This method is all right but
it does rely on your bomb planting being exceptionally accurate. Or,
you could use my favourite method of stopping him. On this floor are
two bomb flowers. So, line yourself up with them and just before he
gets level with the bomb, fire an arrow at the bomb flower and it'll
explode and stop him. After he's stopped rolling around, go talk to
Him and he'll tell you all about Ganondorf reviving Volvagia, the
ancient dragon boss of the Fire Temple. He will also give you the
Goron Tunic, which you should immediately equip. After you're done
talking to him, go to the King's Chamber on the bottom level and pull
on the statue, which is where he used to sit. Now, go through the gap
into Death Mountain Crater making sure to have your Goron Tunic
equipped. Head over to the bridge and hookshot the log above it to
get across it and land next to the triforce platform. Go to it and
Sheik will appear and teach you the Bolero of Fire. After he's done,
head left and fall down the well type thing and you'll be. . .

16. The Fire Temple

Climb up the stairs and enter the door to the left. Hookshot the Like
Like to stun it and then whack it with your sword. You could just
have whacked it with your sword but it's much safer to stun it first
because then it can't steal any of your stuff.

Now, open the chest and you'll either get a green rupee or a shield
(if the Like Like ate yours) exit this room and use Din's Fire to
light up all the torches and open up the next door. When it opens. Go
through. In this next room will be Darunia. Go over and talk to him
to find out about the problem the Gorons are having at the moment and
what he expects you (as his sworn brother) to do about it.

After he goes off to deal with Volvagia, jump across all the
platforms to the right and use the hookshot target to pull yourself
up to the area where the stairs are. Climb them and then use Dins
Fire by the hookshot target to light both torches. Now, aim your bow,
through one of the lit torches to the other side of the room where
you should see an unlit torch.

Fire the arrow through the flame and it will set the third torch
alight. If you find this too complicated then just hop over to the
torch and use Dins Fire on it, it's just that my method saves both
time and magic power as you only have a certain amount of time before
the first two torches go out and you have to start again. After all
three torches are set alight, a gate will open, revealing a chest. Go
to the chest and open it to get a small key.

Now exit this room. Unlock the door at the bottom of the stairs and
kill all the enemies in the next room (watch out for the Stalfos as
the can (and will!!) do a lot of damage to you if you give them the
chance. After all of them are gone, the exit door will open, before
going through it though make sure your sword is in its sheath. In the
next room, get your shield out and five floor tiles will hurl
themselves at you.

After all five have had a go, smash the pots in the corners of this
room and collect the fairies that come out of them. After you have a
full supply of fairies, approach the Iron Knuckle on the throne in
the far corner. Whack him once and then immediately run like hell
because he'll come alive. L-Target him and approach him to make him
swing his sword, before he actually hits anything back-flip out of
the way and do a lunge attack when he's finished with his attack. You
need to do 8 lunge attacks on him to get rid of his armour and then
you need to do about another 5 or 6 to kill him.

After he's dead the locked door will open so head through it. In this
room you'll fight the flare dancer. This boss is actually not what it
appears. The actual boss is the black ball nearer the top of the boss
the flames are actually just armour. So, L-Target him and fire the
hookshot at the black ball to separate it from the flame armour. Then
just chase it and whack it as many times as you can with your sword.
After a while, he'll jump back into the flame and the process will
begin again, just keep repeating it over and over until he's dead.
After he's gone a chest will open which contains the megaton hammer.

Exit this room and activate the rusted switch with your newly found
megaton hammer. Open the chest to collect the dungeon map. Now go
over to the Goron in his cell and he'll talk to you and then leave.
Go out of the far door and you'll find yourself back in the original
room, climb up the stairs and destroy the statue on the right with
your megaton hammer and enter the door you'll uncover. In this room,
use the left platforms to reach the door at the end and go through
it. Now smash the rusty switch with your megaton hammer and then talk
to Goron number 2, now go back to the previous room. Go to the fire
wall on the other side of the room and jump on the platform next to
it.

Use the torch bracket as a target and use the hookshot to vault over
the fire. Look at the wall and you'll see that a part of it is
"different" from the rest of the wall. Bomb this part and go through
the door behind it. Light the torches in this room using the Dins
Fire and talk to Goron number 3. After he's gone, grab the small key
from the chest and return to the room with the fire wall.

Head over to the other side of the room and you'll come across a
platform, Step on it and it should rise. Wait till your level with
the alcove in the wall and then jump off the platform over to it.
Light the torch using Dins Fire and shoot an arrow through the torch
to the other torch near the door. Now, drop off to the ground and go
to the right and climb up the platform you'll find there. Hookshot
the nearby target and go through the recently unlocked door.

In this room you'll be attacked by some floorboards so get your
shield ready and when you see one move, put your shield up and it
will break on it, there are about eight of them to get rid of. After
all eight are gone, fire your hookshot at the torch so you go over
the fire wall and land next to the big coloured chest. Open it to
find the boss key!! We're still no-where near the boss mind you.

Now, hookshot the middle torch to get back and return to the big,
lava room (with the fire wall) and unlock the door with your small
key. Climb to the top of the bars and go to the platform with fire
on the bottom. This will act as an elevator and take you to the
second floor.

When you're on the second floor, hop off the platform and enter the
next door. Climb the platforms to the left and light the torch at
the top using Din's Fire to create a target. Jump to the target's
platform and use it as a stepping stone to the above platform. Here
you'll be confronted by a few Lizalfos kill them in the usual way and
then climb up to the third floor.

Go to the switch the bars that have a switch behind it (they should
be near the south end) and do a lunge attack through the bars so that
your sword connects with the switch and the switch is activated. Now,
break the crates and open the chest they will reveal to get a few
more bombs. Now, look around the room and you should see a barrier
that separates two bomb-able walls.

Blow them both up and you'll find a rusty switch, smash it with the
megaton hammer and then pull yourself onto the barrier using one of
the targets. Now, bomb the crack in the floor and fall through the
hole back to the second floor. Smash the boxes and one of them will
have a rusty switch behind it.

Smash it and a chest will appear containing the compass. After you
have the compass, climb back up the fences to the third floor. Return
to the lower part of the third floor and bomb the wall left of the
one with the switch behind it and then return to the top half of the
third floor. Go to the other side of the room where you should see a
locked gate. Charge up your spin and when it gets to full power,
release it and it should unlock the gate. Now, go over to the newly
unlocked alcove and smash the big crates (leave the little boxes).
Collect one of the small boxes and take it back to the area that you
bombed earlier.

Use the box to unlock the door and then enter it to find another
Goron. After you talk to him he'll thank you for freeing him and then
go. Pick up the small key from the chest and then go back to the top
half of the previous room.

Unlock the right door and enter it. In this room, there should be a
platform with another platform with a few crates on it. Climb up to
this platform and use it to access the platform with crates on it.
Grab one of the smaller boxes and place the box on the switch below.
Now hookshot a crate to get back up to the platform you were just on.

Now, head over to the lit torches and fire an arrow through them to
the unlit torch. When this torch lights up the exit door will unlock
so go through it. In this room look right and you should see a blue
block with a triforce symbol on it. Climb onto it and jump to the
large platform now stand on the face in the middle and whack it with
your megaton hammer. Oh look!! Not only are we back in the room on
the first floor where we met Darunia but we also have made ourselves
a nice little bridge leading to the boss door. Use this bridge and
enter the boss door.

                   Subterranean Lava Dragon: Volvagia
                        Difficulty: 7/10

This boss is one of the best bosses in this game because it's not
actually the real Volvagia you're fighting. It's a re-incarnation of
the mythical dragon who was destroyed centuries ago, still that
doesn't mean he won't kick hell out of you if he's given the
opportunity.

The trick is to keep your eye on him at all times because at various
points throughout the fight, he'll try and disappear for a few
seconds and then attack you from behind. Anyway on with how to beat
him.

Well, at the start of the fight he will dive into one of the craters
in the ground. Now, watch all of them and the minute on starts
emitting dust out of it get over there as that's probably the one
Volvagia is about to come out of, occasionally he may change his mind
but more often than not he won't.

Anyway, when he pops his head out of the crater give it a good whack
with the megaton hammer. This will knock him out for a few seconds so
quickly commence hacking away at him with your sword. When he comes
round again, get out of the way because he'll try and snap at you.

When he's fully recovered, he'll fly up high and begin dropping rocks
down onto your head. Simply keep moving and the rocks will miss every
time, if you want to you can try and fire a few arrows at him but
you'd have to be a very good aim as he is very high up and will not
stay in the same place or allow you to get a good shot so only do
this if you're either (a) a real good shot or (b) desperate to finish
the fight quickly.

After he's done firing rocks at you, he'll fly back down into one of
the holes and the whole process starts again. Three or four good
doses of the hammer and sword routine will finish him off.

After he's dead, take the heart container and step into the blue
light. You'll be warped back to the Chamber of Sages where Darunia
will thank you for once again saving his people and reveal to you
that he is the Sage of Fire and give you the third medallion The Fire
Medallion. You'll then return to Death Mountain Crater.

Cross the bridge with your hookshot and go left. Keep going left
until Navi flies over to some rocks and turns green. Smash these
rocks with your megaton hammer and enter the hole that's revealed.
You're now inside a fairy fountain so get out your ocarina and play
Zelda's Lullaby on the triforce symbol. The Great Fairy will then
appear and she'll extend your magic meter so you can now do even more
magic than before.

After collecting this upgrade, we're done with Death Mountain for the
time being so exit Death Mountain Crater. Once you're back outside,
play the Prelude of Light to be warped back to the Temple of Time and
then exit the Temple and go through the market to Hyrule Field. Now
call Epona using Epona's song and ride her to the river that leads to
Zora's Domain and follow it back into Zora's River. Go to the fence
that the bean guy was sat by as a kid and use the magic bean platform
to go back to the waterfall that covers up Zora's Domain, play
Zelda's Lullaby next to the waterfall and the go through it and enter
Zora's Domain.

Zora's Domain/Entrance to Ice Cavern

Hot damn!! This place has completely changed. Everything has turned
to ice. Remember all those waterfalls that you gazed at as a kid,
they're all gone and in their places are big chunks of ice, even the
King has been frozen. Anyway, after you've stopped gawping at
everything, make your way to the King's chamber and go behind him to
Zora's Fountain. The first thing you'll notice is that Lord Jabu Jabu
has also done a bunk and loads of icebergs have appeared all around
his fountain. Use the ones to the left to get to the cave on the left
side of the fountain and then enter.

NOTE: Before entering this cave, be sure to have at least two bottles
with nothing in them or you're gonna have major problems in this next
area.

17. The Ice Cavern

This mini-dungeon is way more challenging than the Bottom of the Well
was due to the fact that there are more powerful enemies in this
dungeon that all use ice to attack you and ice is the one thing that
will drain your health VERY quickly. Anyway, not letting that put you
off let's get started!

Firstly, nip into the left alcove and wait till the boulder that was
coming at you rolls past you. Then, quickly run up the passage and
slaughter the enemies you'll encounter. When you see an ice wall,
look to the right and fire an arrow at the switch in the alcove to
melt the ice wall. Now, go down the passage that the ice wall was
blocking and continue into the next room. In this room will be many
ice-armos type enemies as well as others that will already be
familiar to you. Take out the ice armos by waiting till they fire
some ice breath at you and then jump-slash them with your sword.
After they're all dead, you can concentrate on taking out the rest of
the enemies. After all enemies have successfully been killed, a new
passage will be opened so head through it and follow it round to the
next area.

You'll now meet some white wolfos (two to be exact). They are exactly
the same as the normal wolfo so killing them shouldn't be too much of
a problem. After they're dead, go over to the torch of blue fire and
fill up all your bottles. Now, go over to the red ice that's also in
this room and melt it with the blue fire. Now, break the icicles in
the opposite part of the room and whack the switch to spawn a chest
in the area with the melted red ice. Open it to find the dungeon map.
Now, re-fill your bottles and exit the room.

Ignore all the ice armos and rolling boulders and continue to the
next room with a heart piece in some ice. In the middle of this room
is a switch, which is submerged under the ice. Blow that switch with
a bomb to activate it and unlock the heart piece, for now leave it as
it helps to get the heart pieces in one go so you know exactly which
you have and have not got.

Anyway, blow up the ice armos with some more bombs and then follow
the path around to the chest that contains the compass. Now return to
the previous room and play the song of time near the red ice that has
a gold skulltula on it (again don't collect the skulltula yet) and a
block will spawn, creating a step up to some ice. Melt this ice with
some fire and you'll uncover a gold skulltula, leave it for now and
exit this room.

Go to the other red ice in the room and melt it with your blue flame.
Kill all the monsters in this next room (this isn't necessary but it
makes things easier) and play the song of time near the blue fire to
spawn a block. Melt the red ice with some blue fire and then go down
the passage and unlock the door at the end.

You'll now face a pathetic, measly, piddly little Stalfos. Kill it
using the normal methods and then open the chest that spawns to
collect the iron boots, the whole point of this nightmare of a
dungeon. Sheik will now appear and teach you the Serenade of Water,
which will warp you to the entrance of the Water Temple anytime. Now,
after making damn sure you have two bottles of blue fire, equip the
iron boots and drop down the hole to exit this dungeon.

After you warp back to the first room of the cavern, head back out to
Zora's Fountain. Now, we need one more item before we can tackle the
next dungeon. So, head back to the King's chamber and sprinkle some
blue fire on him to thaw him out. When you that him out, he'll give
you the Zora Tunic as a special thank you. We now have everything we
need and can now proceed to the next temple so, exit the domain and
head to Lake Hylia.

When you get there you'll notice that half the water gas been drained
from the lake that was once so full and beautiful. Well, that's what
we're gonna sort out now. So, equip your Zora Tunic, Hookshot,
Ocarina and head into the lake. Once in the lake, put on your iron
boots to sink to the bottom. At the bottom of the lake, go to the
large island in the middle and go round it till you see a barred
gate. Well, look above it and fire you hookshot at the target. This
will open the gate so enter (duh!)

18. Water Temple

AH! Here we are at last. The dungeon that most people get their
friends to do for them (well, I did anyway!) or simply do it and then
try and forget about it as quick as they can. Anyway, let's get on
with it shall we.

When you enter, use your iron boots to sink to the bottom and head
right, through the tunnel. Hang on! Who's this? It's Princess Ruto
and she still remembers how you said you'd marry her seven years ago.
Hot damn! Does this Zora never forget anything? Anyway, after the
conversation, take off the iron boots and follow her all the way up
to the third floor. Use Din's Fire on the four torches then go
through the door that unlocks.

In this room, kill all the enemies and then use your hookshot on the
plate on the wall to make a chest appear. Open it and collect the
dungeon map. Now, go back to the previous room and play Zelda's
Lullaby next to the triforce symbol to lower the water down all the
way.

Now, leap to the first floor and use Din's Fire on the two torches to
unlock the door. In the next room, shoot the spiked ball with your
hookshot then cut it with your sword to kill it. Now dispose of both
the Lizalfos then open the chest that appears to get the compass. Now
go back to the main room and use your hookshot to pull yourself up to
the second floor. Now, use the hookshot on the weird object on the
wall and open the chest to find the LONGSHOT!! How cool is that, this
thing can extend twice as far as the hookshot could. That's so
unfair, you have to go through hell to get that in Ocarina of Time!
(sulks for a bit in the corner...)

Now go back to the middle platform and go into the tower (use the
longshot to reach the second floor of the tower) Play Zelda's lullaby
when you get to the triforce symbol and the water will rise to its
mid way point. Now go back out the door and use the longshot target
to get to the third floor. Walk around this part of the third floor
and you'll eventually see an alcove with another triforce symbol on
it. Use the longshot to pull yourself over to it and play Zelda's
lullaby to raise the water to its highest point. Now, equip your iron
boots and sink to floor 2. Now, go in the door you'll find there.

Now, remove the iron boots and float up to the third floor. Get on
the floating platform and use the song of time to spawn a block.
Climb onto the block and cast Din's Fire to light up all the torches.
Now, use your iron boots to sink down to B1F (still in the tower
here) In the next room, look for a block that that sticks out of the
floor, it's about halfway along. Stand on this block and it will
fall. Use your longshot on the switch and then go up the new gap in
the room.

As usual, hit the panel in this room with your longshot and a chest
will spawn, this time containing a small key. Now, come back out of
the tower and go to the third floor. Now, look for a door with a lock
on it and unlock it.

In this room, go through the passage and hit the switch above you
with the longshot. Now jump down, onto the moving platform below.
This is the bit that most people (like me) bugger up. Attach your
longshot to the far left target so, when you reach that target you'll
fall onto the bottom target. Now, use the longshot on the panel above
you. This will cause the top target to be raised slightly so use the
longshot on this target. Now, continue climbing up till you reach the
exit of this room.

Fall to the water below and kill all three enemies. Now, use the
longshot on the alcove above you (there are some fairies in the jars
on the cliff so get them if you need them) Now, use the longshot to
get over the spikes and to the exit door. Exit, mini boss time!

In this room, you meet Dark Link who is a pathologically evil version
of you. At first you'll wonder where the hell he is. Well, go to the
end of the room, then come back to the middle and he'll appear. The
trick to beating him is simple. Give him a few good whacks with your
megaton hammer. As it's so heavy and powerful, he won't be able to
block the attack or have time to move out of the way. So keep
whacking him with the hammer and after a few good whacks, he'll be
gone.

Now, use the longshot on the panel and drop down through the hole it
creates. Use the longshot on each of the targets in this new area to
get safely to the end and avoid the vortexes in the water. At the
end, follow the path round and you'll eventually come to another room
with water. Equip your iron boots and sink to the bottom and look for
a passage in front of you, when you find it go through it. In this
room, simply light all the torches with Din's Fire and then go back
to the previous room and exit through the other exit.

Climb down to the area below and stand on the little pool of water.
Use the longshot on the switch above you and wait till the water
behind you is at its highest point then use Din's Fire. Now jump to
the multi-coloured chest and open it to find the boss key. Now exit
the room and dive into the water and follow the passage back up.
Equip your iron boots and stand on the switch. Now float back all the
way to the third floor.

Go around this tower on the third floor and look for a statue of what
looks like a bit like a dragon's head and with a longshot target on
it. Use the longshot on it obviously. Now go through the door and
longshot the switch. Now longshot one of the targets to get to the
boss door. Open it to find...

                         Giant Aquatic Amoeba: Morpha
                             Difficulty: 6/10

This boss is surprisingly easy to say that the temple was an absolute
nightmare. There is only one way he'll attack you and only one way
you can attack him. His attack is simply to conjure up some water and
make it into a sort of lasso then grab you with it and start beating
your brains out against the floor and walls. This attack is pretty
slow so it's easy to avoid but if it does hit you then you will take
major damage. I'm talking like 5 hearts here!!

The way you can attack him is also pretty effective. Basically, you
fire the longshot at the boss (the black ball in the middle of the
water tentacle) and if you hit it, the ball will be drawn to you. You
should now start hacking away at the boss and you'll get quite a few
good hits in. Do this 14 times and he's down.

Once he's dead, collect the heart container and step into the blue
light. You'll warp back to the chamber of sages where Ruto reveals
that she is the sage of water and gives you the water medallion. The
bad new is that she still loves you, damn!!

After receiving the water medallion you'll be warped back to Lake
Hylia, which is now full again!! Anyway, go to the island in the
middle of the lake and read the stone plaque. It says @when water
fills the lake, shoot for the morning light" this basically means
"when the lake is full and it is day, shoot an arrow at the sun"
well, wait till it's day and shoot an arrow at the sun. This will get
you the fire arrows. These are really useful later on in the game.
Anyway, we now need to head back to Kakariko Village.

Kakariko Village/Entrance to Shadow Temple

When you arrive in this peaceful little village you'll be greeted by
a super coo, FMV sequence during which Sheik will teach you the
Nocturne of Shadow which leads you right to the entrance of the
shadow temple, so play it. You'll appear in an area above the
graveyard so head down the steps into a room with a lot of torches.
Stand in the middle and use Din's Fire to light them all and unlock
the gate to the Shadow Temple.

19. Shadow Temple

NOTE: This temple is a long one so try not to die, as it's a big pain
in the ass having to get back to where you were before you died.

Equip your longshot and use it to get over the first gap you come to.
Then walk right through the wall. Yep, that's right walk through the
wall, it's fake. In this room, you'll see a bird statue with an
inscription on it. The inscription reads, "make my beak face the
skull of truth" Well, whip out the lens of truth and look at the
skulls surrounding the bird. Push the statue so it faces the skull
that's still visible when you put it on.

This will open the gate across the gap. Before going through however,
use the fire arrows to light the torches at either side of the mouth.
Once they're both lit, enter the mouth. Go right, through the wall
and through the next door. Stun the re-deads by using the sun's song
then chop them all up with your sword. When they're all dead, a chest
will appear, containing a small key. Grab that and then exit back to
the previous room. Now go through the left door.

In this room, you have to get all five white rupees whilst avoiding
the reaper. To get under the spinning contraption, do a roll. To get
the highest rupee use your longshot. When you have all five the gate
will open so head through it and grab the dungeon map from inside the
chest. Now go back to the room with the bird statue.

Once back here, equip your lens of truth and search for an invisible
part of the wall. When you find it, blow it up with a bomb and go
through the door behind it. Walk through the wall and you'll find
yourself in a maze; it's very easy to get lost in this area so listen
up. Follow the right wall and walk through the part of the wall with
green eyes (it will give you a message when you get near it so you
know which one it is) Head through the door behind this wall panel
and you'll see a re-dead. Before it has chance to scream play the
sun's song to stun it and then give it a few good whacks with your
sword.

Now do the same to the other three that are also in this room. Once
all four have been defeated a chest will appear containing the
compass. Grab it and head back into the maze and continue following
the wall right. After a bit more travelling, you'll find another
green eyed wall. Head through this wall and then through the one
behind it. In this area, you'll notice some eyes on the wall that
spit fire at you. You could destroy them all but it's a waste of time
and arrows so simply avoid the fire they spit at you and then fire an
arrow at the middle eye and a wall will vanish so you can see the
exit. Put on the lens of truth and look at the back wall (where the
entrance door is) and you'll see that a section of the wall is fake
so go through it and then through the door behind it.

You now must defeat another Dead Hand. In case you forgot how to
defeat him, I'll tell you. To defeat it get caught to lure it out and
repeatedly hit A to wriggle free. Now, L-target it and when it lowers
its head and is about to bite you, do a lunge at his head. Repeat
until he dies. After he's dead a chest will spawn. Open it to get the
hover boots! Fantastic, you can now hover over large gaps!

Now head all the way back past the mouth-door, down the ramp, past
the beamos, and through the locked door. There isn't an awful lot to
do in this first room as it's largely full of beamos and ramps so
head through this room and into the next. In this room, ignore all
the traps and head to the platform with two beamos on it. Use the
lens of truth and you'll see an invisible platform to the left. Jump
onto it and go to the far edge. Look down and you'll see a frozen eye
so whip out your fire arrows and shoot it. When it melts, it will
create some more platforms some place else in the room. Jump to the
next platform then use your lens of truth to find the next platform.

Jump onto the next platform, jump off to the left onto another
invisible platform and run to the other end. Now jump to the next
platform and go through the door, whew!

In this room immediately equip your lens of truth as there is an
invisible scythe in the middle of this room that will cause you pain
if it hits you. You now need to collect the five rupees whilst
avoiding the scythe. For the rupee that's hidden behind the like
like, simply use the like like as a longshot target and whack him
twice with your sword. This will obliterate him and leave the rupee
un-guarded.

Also, there is one floating in mid air. To get this one, play the
song of time and a block will spawn. Use it to collect the rupee.
After all five have been collected, two chests will spawn. One
contains a small key and the other a blue rupee. Collect both and
then go all the way back to the room with the two beamos on a
platform. When back on the platform, use your lens of truth and jump
to the lower platform then continue jumping across the platforms till
you get to one with a beamos and two spinning spike traps. If you
need some arrows then collect the white rupees, if not then simply
spin attack the gate then go through it.

In this room, there are some falling spikes traps so be careful. Use
your lens of truth to locate the invisible block in the wall to your
right. Use this block as a shield from the spike traps so you can
collect the small key, and a blue rupee (worth five). So, push/pull
the block to the end of the spike traps and climb up to the top of
the cells. Open the chest to get the five rupees then press on the
switch to make the small key's chest come out, grab it then exit back
to the big room again. Look for a thin bridge that leads off the
platform you're on now to another platform to a guillotine. Go across
this bridge and activate the lens of truth to reveal some hidden
platforms. Use the hover boots to get across them to the exit.

First off, play the sun's song to freeze both the re-deads then
commence hacking away at them both till they're dead. Grab the blue
rupee from the chest that appears then use your longshot to collect
all the rupees and open the door to the left. Go through this door
and kill all the enemies in this room to get another chest, also
containing a blue rupee. Now ext and longshot the target on the
ceiling and unlock the door with your small key.

Immediately put on your iron boots to avoid being blown away by the
fans in this area. Now continue down the corridor till you get to a
room with fans of all sides. Now continue across this path and go
through the door at the end. Again, freeze the re-deads and chop them
up with your sword. Now use the lens of truth to see the invisible
chest that spawns and open it to collect the small key. Now return to
the room with fans on both sides.

Again, equip your iron boots to avoid being blown off by the fans and
then equip the lens of truth. Look at the right wall and you should
see that part of the wall is fake and a door is behind it. Get level
with it and wait for the fan behind you to get to full power. When it
does, equip your hover boots and the blast from the fan should propel
you over to the door.

Kill the re-deads using the usual method and collect the blue rupee
from the chest that spawns. Blow up the crack in the bottom right
corner and open the invisible chest to get some more arrows. Now exit
the room. Pull the block up to the ladder on the left. Climb the
ladder and get on the ship you'll see. Stand on the triforce symbol
and play Zelda's Lullaby to get the ship moving. Aha pirates!! Oh, no
wait a minute; it's just some pesky stalfos. Wait till they both get
close to you and cast Din's Fire to get rid of them quickly. Now, get
to the front of the ship (where the dragon's head is) and when Navi
says something about the ship sinking quickly jump left onto land.

Look across the river and you'll see some bomb flowers. Shoot one of
them with an arrow and they'll topple the nearby statue, creating a
bridge to the other side of the river. Cross the bridge and go up to
the blue block. Climb on top of it and grab the heart now hop back
down and play the song of time to make it disappear. Fire an arrow at
the eye to spawn a series of targets. Longshot the upper target and
it will lead you to a switch. Press it to open the door. Go through
the door.

Put on the lens of truth and you'll see you're in a maze. Make your
way across the room to the left door. Look behind the moving vases
for a small key. Now go back to the maze and go across to the north
door, open it with the small key. Cast Din's Fire to get rid of the
spiked walls and then destroy the keese that are flying around. Open
the normal chest for another blue rupee and then open the big fancy
chest for... The Boss Key!! Now return to the river area and go through
the remaining door. Put on the lens of truth to see the platforms and
use them to get to the boss door. Go through it and drop down the
hole, be sure to leave the hover boots on mind you.

                  Phantom Shadow Beast: Bongo Bongo
                           Difficulty: 7.5/10

This boss has to be the most retarded boss ever! He has two main
attacks. Slapping you with his hands or grabbing you and throwing you
into the poisonous water below.

What you need to do is fire an arrow at one of the hands to stun it
then fire on at the other had to stun that. Now equip your lens of
truth and fire an arrow at the red eye in the middle of the big thing
that comes down. Now go up to it and whack it as many times as you
can. Repeat till he's down.

Oh, by the way if you died, you don't have to go all of the way
through the dungeon to the boss again. Just go to the first reaper
room in B2F and go to the northeast alcove and drop down. Kill the
invisible Skulltula and you're back on the ship! Ride the ship to the
boss!

After he's dead, collect the heart piece and step into the blue warp.
You'll warp back to the chamber of sages where Impa, Zelda's nanny
will reveal to you that she is the Shadow Sage and she also give you
the shadow medallion. Just one more to go!!

Gerudo Fortress and Training Grounds

After warping from the Chamber of Sages, go back on to Hyrule Field
and call Epona. Ride her west across Hyrule field and you'll soon end
up in Gerudo land. Follow the left path and you'll come to a bridge
that broken halfway along. Use the carrot boosts on Epona and use her
to jump across the bridge. Now dismount and go up the steps to the
right and enter the fortress. When you enter, let a guard see you and
she'll throw you in a cell.

Look up and use the longshot to get out of the cell. Look down on the
fortress and to the left. Jump down to the ledge you'll see there and
get out your bow. Look to the ground below and shoot all the guards
you see. Then jump down and go to the part where the wall goes left
into a sort of recess with a few crates and a door, enter it. Head
right and up the ramp.

You'll now find yourself back outside so knock out the guard before
she sees you and enter the door she was guarding. Follow the corridor
along till you come to a cell. Talk to the carpenter in the cell and
he'll tell you how he came to be imprisoned there, he'll also mention
the other three carpenters that are also imprisoned in other parts of
the fortress. A gerudo guard will then appear behind you and engage
you in a duel.

The way to defeat her is simple; whack her with your sword when she
drops her guard. Be sure to avoid her attacks though as, if you get
hit too many times she'll put you back in the cell. Once she's
defeated, grab the key she drops and unlock carpenter number 1. We
now have 3 more to find.

So, go up the path leading out of this room and you'll come across
two gerudos patrolling a room. Knock them both out with an arrow and
then wait for the third to come out of the nearby hallway. Knock her
out the hop across the platform to the opposite ramp. Head up it and,
at the end, drop down to the door below.

Watch out for the guard in this hallway, knock her out if you get the
chance. Follow the hall round to the second carpenter in the cell.
Talk to him and you'll then get another duel with a gerudo guard.
Defeat her using the same tactics as before and collect the key she
drops, now unlock the second carpenter. Two down, two to go!!

Drop off to the ledge on Links right and go through the next doorway.
Here you'll find the third carpenter. Same routine as before: talk to
carpenter, defeat guard, grab key and unlock carpenter. After freeing
the third carpenter go back out to the main fortress, drop down to
the ground and follow the wall to the right. At the end, go into the
doorway and free the fourth and final carpenter.

After he's freed, another guard will come up to you and say you have
excellent thieving skills. She'll also give you the gerudo membership
card, which allows you to wander around the fortress without being
hassled by the guards.

After obtaining the card, feel free to wander around the fortress and
play some mini-games. The best one is the horseback archery game, but
you'll need Epona to do it though. I'm now going onto the training
grounds the purpose of this next bit is to get the ice arrows so if
you want to skip this part and go straight to the Spirit Temple then
I'll put a __ when the grounds finish. Anyway, assuming you do want
the ice arrows go to the woman standing in front of a barred gate and
pay her 10 rupees to start the trials.

Open the two chests for some arrows and a few bombchus, now turn
around and look at the eye statue above the entrance. Fire an arrow
at it and head through the door it unlocks.

In this first room you have one minute to kill all the enemies
including that stone staue on the ledge. After they're all gone grab
the small key from the chest and proceed through the next door.

Use a fire arrow on the torch to your right to light it up. You now
have to collect the six white rupees in this room. The trick is to do
carefully so you don't have any, er, accidents! For the ones on the
faraway platforms, use hover boots. After all six have been
collected, go through the newly unlocked door.

Dispose of the enemies in this room and use a fire arrow on the web
in the middle of the floor. Equip your Zora Tunic and Iron Boots and
dive down into the water. Now, kill all the clams and other enemies
using your longshot and then grab all the rupees. Once all of them
are collected, go back to where you burned the web and grab the small
key from the chest. Now exit back to the first room.

In the first room, use Din's Fire on the torches and enter the left
door. In this room you have to kill the enemies in a certain time.
Unfortunately for you the only enemy in this room is a big. strong
armos statue. First thing, keep the fight out of the sand, it will
slow you down big style. Second thing only use jump attacks on him.
Once he's dead, grab the five rupees from the chest and exit.

In this room, you have to collect the white rupees in under 1:30. So,
head left and down the path for rupee 1 (you may want to sort out
that ice monster while you're there as well) Next go up the path and
go right at the top. Head to the top right corner (longshot is needed
to get past the fire) now go past the icicles and grab rupee number
2. Now go back down the paths until you get to a pit. Walk off so
Link grabs the edge and rupee 3. Now go left and use the longshot
target above you to grab rupee number 4. Now go to the left, over the
fire barrier and grab rupee number 5 from the cliff edge.

The next room is the usual drill. Kill the enemies in a given time.
Once they're all dead grab the arrows from the chest. Now use your
Lens of Truth to find a tunnel in the wall, once you find it play the
song of time and a blue block will spawn. Melt the ice with blue fire
and exit this room.

Next, you have to blind the statue's four eyes with a few arrows. So,
hop down to the bottom level and the floor will spin. So, as you draw
level with them fire an arrow at each of the eyes, if you hit it, it
will turn red. When they've all been hit, grab the bombchus from the
chest and then shoot the exit switch in the fire. Go through the door
that opens.

You now have to kill all the enemies in under 1:00. Like before, use
jump attacks on the armos statue. When they're all gone a chest will
appear so open that and grab the arrows. Now look above the door (not
the one you came in through) and shoot an arrow at the target above
the door and a chest will appear, the thing is though, it's behind
fire so stand on the switch to get rid of the fire and grab the small
key from the chest, now exit.

Activate the rusted switch using the megaton hammer and use your
longshot on the target to the right. Now go through the door and into
the maze. First go left and continue going through the doors and
picking up the items. Eventually you'll reach the middle and when you
do, smash the crate and activate the rusted switch with your megaton
hammer to open up a chest on the second floor.

Go back out of the south door and then head all the way back to the
room where you had to blind the statue's eyes. Use the north door on
the second floor and you'll enter the room with the chest. Open it to
finally get the ice arrows

_____________________________________________________________________

Once you're done with your fun (that was not intentional, I swear!!)
it's now time to go and get the last medallion. So, head out of the
fortress and, once down the stairs head right and keep going until
you come to a barred gate. Go to the right side of this gate and
climb the ladder to the top. Talk to the gerudo at the top and she'll
open the gate to the haunted wasteland. Go through...

Haunted Wasteland/Entrance to The Spirit Temple

Welcome to the Haunted Wasteland. It's called that because of the
constant storms and high winds that always seem to hit this area of
Hyrule which the gerudos and the rest of Hyrule believe to be the
work of evil spirits, anyway enough with the travel guide, back to
the FAQ!!

So, equip your hover boots and use them to cross the quick sand trap.
Now simply follow the red flags, I just hope it's day because it's
tons easier to see them during the day. Anyway, after a while you'll
come to a stone. Climb to the top of it and equip your lens of truth
to see an invisible Poe. This Poe will lead you to the Spirit Temple
so keep the lens of truth equipped so you don't lose her. Follow her
through the desert and to the Spirit Temple.

Once you arrive there, enter it and then come back out again. Sheik
will appear and teach you the Reuiem of Spirit, which allows to you
to - yep! You guessed it. Warp to the entrance of the Spirit Temple
whenever you like. Anyway, after he's taught you this song enter the
temple.

21. Spirit Temple

Go up the stairs and go left to the Gerudo standing infront of the
hole. Talk to her and she'll tell you she is Nabooru, Ganondorf's
right hand woman, she must be destroyed!! Oh, no, hang on she's
against Ganondorf, whew. When she asks you what you're doing here (or
something like that) answer "nothing really" After she asks you to
get back the Silver Gauntlets, go back to the entrance and shoot the
switch that's sticking out and grab the bombchu from the chest Now,
go to the water and look right. Bomb the boulder and shoot the eye
switch to reveal another chest, this time containing a small key.
Grab that and crawl through the hole that Nabooru was stood in front
of.

Stun the fire pools with Deku Nuts and use the jump attack to kill
them. Now go out the left door and grab the dungeon map. Now go back
to the previous room and go out the right door. Kill the mummy and
pull the far grave to uncover a switch. Press the switch and a wall
will appear with some boulders. Break the left boulder and then angle
yourself so that if you fired a bombchu, it would go to the left wall
and go through the gap in the wall and break the boulder on the other
side. This may take you a few tries (it took me hundreds) but you
will do it in the end. Now, shoot the eye behind the boulder and use
the platform that appears to reach the other side. Now play the Suns
song to stun all the enemies, then hack them up easily.

Hop onto the rotating platform and use your best sword fighting
techniques to kill the Stalfos (if you're quick, you could just shove
him off the ledge) once he's dead, exit through the door. Kill all
the keese in this room because they're just too annoying for words.
Once they're all gone, pull the stone and activate the switch beneath
it. Now, kill the other keese on the other side and you'll notice
another, weird enemy. This enemy is the Anubis. It will copy your
moves and prove impossible to get rid of. Simply use Din's Fire to
get rid of it!! Now open the chest for a small key. Now go back to
the room with the fire pools.

Fire a bomchu at the hole to blow up the boulder and reveal a hole.
Crawl through it and unlock the door with the small key. Activate the
switch and kill the Like Like using the longshot to stun it and the
jump attack to kill it. Climb the wall and kill the dinos in this
room. Now, look up and you'll se a bit of light coming from a hole in
the wall. Use a bombchu to open up that hole and allow the sun's
light into the room, the light will hit the sun's face in this room.
Now, use the small key to unlock the next door and go through.

Fall to the ground and go to the left of the huge statue. Fire a deku
seed at the eye and a chest will spawn, open it and grab the compass.
Now go to the middle door, melt the ice with Din's fire and shoot the
eye with another seed. Go through. Approach the pit and look into it.
When you see the eye, shoot it and grab the small key from the chest
that will spawn. Now, exit back to the previous room.

Go to the top level and look down and you'll find a block with the
symbol on it - if you don't know what symbol this is I want to know
how the hell you got this far!! Anyway, jump to this block and pick
up the crate on top of it. Jump down to the next platform (the stairs
not the ground level) and carry the crate up the stairs and put it on
the top level. Play the song of time to spawn another block with that
symbol on it. Pick up the box and jump to this block and then onto
the next platform. Now, look down and jump down to the hand with the
switch on it; Activate the switch and drop the box onto it, now go
through the unlocked door.

Go past the flames and through the next door. Now, fire a seed at the
switch on the ledge to distinguish the flames on the other side of
the room. Quickly, run to the other side and pull the top right sun
block to the sunlight. Now go back and pull another sun block over to
the light. The exit door will now unlock so use another sun block to
reach the ledge it's on. Activate the switch and go through the door,
now go through the door at the top of the stairs to access the mini-
boss. This min-boss is another armoured soldier. Wait till he
attacks, back flip then use the jump attack on him, repeat this
process till he's down. When he's down, go through the next door to
access THE SILVER GAUNTLETS wahay!!

Now, play the prelude of light to warp back to the temple of time.
Now take the master sword out of the pedestal to warp forward seven
years. Now, as an adult play the Requiem of Spirit to warp back to
the Spirit Temple.

Head up the stairs and look up at the ceiling. You should see a rock
in a hole. Blow this rock out using a bombchu and use the longshot on
the target above. Now push the block as far as you can and go through
the door. Head left and go through the door that leads to the room
where you bombed the wall to let some light in.

Now, head up the stairs and look up and you'll see a rock in a hole
in the ceiling. Use a bombchu to blow the rock out of the way and use
the longshot target to get up there. Now, push the big block as far
as you can and go through the door at the end.

Head left and go through the door. You'll appear back in the room
with the wall you bombed as young Link. Use the chest as a hookshot
target, grab the key from inside it then hit the switch. Lob a bomb
down at the Like Like in the pit to kill then go down into it and
smash the switch with the megaton hammer. Now return to the room with
the desert colossus statue.

Climb the stairs and use the longshot on the torch at the other set
of stairs. Avoid the floormaster and head through the locked door.
Look up and use the longshot target to get over the fire. In the next
room, kill all the beamos and open the chest that appears for some
arrows. Now go to the block of time near the chest and play the song
of time to get rid of it. You'll see a switch but it's unusable at
the moment so go over to the two blocks and play the song of time
till a box appears on the bottom one. Now, grab the box and plant it
on the switch. Now go through the previously locked door.

Kill the enemies and then attack the chest with your sword. It's a
trap and when you're successful a cutscene will occur. Now go through
that door. In here, equip your lens of truth and kill the floor
master you'll see and then go through the door that opens. Now, kill
the Amros using the strategy mentioned before and then exit the room
once it's dead. Open the chest and you'll get THE MIRROR SHIELD
brillo!! Equip this immediately this is the shield to use from now
on. Now go back three rooms to the room with the lizard type
creatures.

Like before, kill the lizards and then play the song of time in front
of the block to get rid of it. Now, get yourself in a position so
that you're in the sunlight's path and press R to bring out the
shield. Now, adjust the shield so the light reflects off the shield
and lands on the sun face beneath the window. A door will now open so
play the song of time to gain access to it, and then go through it.
In here, play the sun's song to stun the re-dead then give it a few
good whacks with the sword to get rid of it. Now, open the big blue
and yellow chest to get the boss key!!

Jump over the hand and play Zelda's Lullaby to spawn a chest, which
contains five rupees. Now go back to either side of 3F and use the
fire arrows to light the torches they are at the left side, right
side and the centre of the area, once they're all lit up a door
unlocks. Go through it. In this room, watch out for the two
wallmasters above you. Kill them and then deal with the two
skeletons. Now get out the mirror shield and reflect the light from
the sun back at the three sun faces to open the shutter that leads
back down to 1F.

In the room with a rock in the centre, grab the two rupees that you
can get then smash the boulder with your hammer. Now activate the
switch and use the water geyser to get the next white rupee. Now
collect the other two white rupees from the boulders on the other
side of the water geyser, near the set of stairs. A chest will appear
with a small key inside so grab that then go to the big room and the
down to 1F (go to the other side of the water geyser)

Open the locked door and activate the switch with the megaton hammer
to reveal an alcove. Look above the alcove and you'll see a block of
time. Approach this block and play the song of time to open another
alcove. This time with a cow above it. Walk to it and play Epona's
song and another alcove will open. Play the suns song and another
will open. This time play the song of storms and play Zelda's lullaby
on the last alcove. Now, kill the monster infront of the gate you
just opened and enter the next area. Now, dispose of the spiders with
the longshot and grab the purple rupee (worth 50!) from inside the
chest that spawns. Now warp back to the temple of time and put the
master sword back in to warp back seven years. Now play the requiem
of spirit to warp to the entrance of the spirit temple.

Go through the small hole and get the small key from inside the
chest. Now go back to the temple of time and warp forward seven
years. Now warp back to the Spirit Temple one last time

Go back to the big room on 3F and go through the right door. Go to
the room where you killed the four beamos and go through the locked
door. First off, you'll want to kill all the keese that are flying
around. Now, collect all the rupees by climbing up the moving wall.
Once you have all of them climb to the top of the ladder and go
through the next door.

Stand on the triforce and play the song that you always play on a
triforce symbol (if you don't know which song that is I'd like to
know how you got this far!) and a door will unlock. Go through this
door and smash the crates to find a switch, activate it and enter the
next room.

Get rid of all the enemies because they can and will mess you up
given half the chance. Once they're gone, reflect the light back at
the first part of the sun to make it smile. Now, go over to the
second snake mirror and push it clockwise. Now head back to the
previous room and use the sunlight to make the platform you're now on
move down to 3F. Now, use the mirror shield on the face of the desert
statue then use the longshot to get to the boss door inside the
statue's mouth.

After the cut scene you'll have to fight another armoured statue.
Once it's defeated the armour will fall off and you'll see it was
really a brainwashed Nabooru. Then two witches will come and banish
Nabooru. After they've gone, enter the door behind the throne.

                       Sorceress Sisters - Twinrova

This is the coolest boss in the game (apart from Ganon but he comes a
bit later on) there are two witches who attack in a different way.
One of them fires fire and the other fires ice. When one of them is
about to fire at you, put up the mirror shield and the other witch
will pass in front of you, fire the attack back at her. After doing
this four times, they will form Twinrova the ultimate witch. So, put
up the mirror shield and don't put it down till you have absorbed
three of the same magic attack. Once you have, fire it at Twinrova
and she'll be temporarily stunned. Run over to her and whack her as
many times as you can. Repeat this process till she's down.

After Twinrova is dead, grab the heart container and step into the
blue warp point. You'll emerge in the chamber of Sages where Nabooru
will give you the sixth and final medallion, as she is also a sage!
After that, Rauru summons you to the Temple of time so get there
pronto!! Once you get there a cutscene occurs where you receive the
light arrows and you also find out who Sheik really is. I won't say
but let's just say he not a "he". After the cutscene, head out of the
temple and to where Hyrule Castle was. Head up the hill and the six
sages will spawn a rainbow bridge that leads to the castle. Head
across it and into Ganon's Castle...

Heart Pieces

In the two games, there are 36 heart pieces, which can be, collected
either as a side quest or simply for fun while you're doing something
else. You don't get anything special for collecting all of them but
they are fun to collect nonetheless. I have split them up into two
categories. Ones that you can get as a child and ones that can be
collected as an adult. Next to certain heart pieces I have put stuff
you need to collect the heart piece i.e. (slingshot) so be sure to
have that item before going off in search of a particular heart
piece.

Young Link

1 Lon Lon Ranch

Behind the horse riding area is a shed with a cow in it. Next to that
cow are some crates so push and pull the crates until you can see a
hole behind them. Crawl through this hole and voila! Heart Piece
number 1 is right there.

2 Hyrule Field (bomb and golden scales)

After exiting the town market, go right and you should see some trees
and a boulder. Follow the wall behind the boulder and you will
eventually come to a clearing with a lot of trees and one tree
standing on its own. Bomb the lone tree and fall down the hole. Now
dive to the bottom of the pond and pick up heart piece number 2.

3. Hyrule Field/Lake Hylia Entrance (bomb)
At the entrance to Lake Hylia are two fenced in areas. Plant a bomb
in the middle of the first one and fall down a hole. Deflect the nut
back at the Deku Scrub and he'll sell you heart piece number 3 for 10
rupees.

4. Kakariko Village (10+ rupees)

When it's night, run into the village and then into the graveyard.
Ask Dampe to dig holes in all the soft soil spots and one of them has
this heart piece in it.

5. Kakariko Village (bombs)

After you have the magic meter, let the owl take you back down the
mountain and put you down on the purple roof. Now, drop onto the
brown object over the cucco pen and then go inside and collect heart
piece 5.

6. Kakariko Village (50=golden skulltula tokens)

After collecting 50+ golden skulltula tokens, go back to the house of
skulltula and the boy there will give you this piece of heart for
free.

7. Graveyard (Suns Song)

Go back to the tombstone you blew up when you got the suns song and
pull on the far right tombstone on the second row of tombstones. Drop
down and kill the re-dead. Now play the suns song and heart piece 7
will appear from nowhere.

8. Zora's River (ocarina of time and the song of storms)

Whilst passing through Zora's River you may have spotted a group of
frogs by a log. Well, play all the songs on the top row for them and
they'll give you a heart piece.

9. Zora's River (ocarina of time and the full top row of songs)

Play the top row of songs for the same group of frogs and they will
ask you to play their bug eating game where you basically have to
press the correct button so the frogs can eat a bug, your prixe is a
heart piece.

10. Zora's River (cucco)

Grab a cucco from where the bean seller is and use it ti float over
to the area with a ladder. Climb this ladder and grab another cucco
from the ledge above. Use this cucco to cross the log and float over
to it.

11. Zora's River (cucco)

Grab another cucco and make your way to the bridge that leads to
Zora's Domain. When you get to this bridge, go to the large hill that
is near the bridge and float down to the ledge with this heart piece
on.

12. Hyrule Town Market (Richard the puppy)

At night, there is a woman in the market who has lost her puppy,
Richard. Well, go down to the back alleys and get the white puppy to
follow you back to her. In return, she'll give you a heart piece.

13. Hyrule Town Market (bombchu abilities and 30+ rupees)

In the town is the bombchu bowling alley which gives you random
prizes. One of which is this heart piece so keep playing it until you
get the heart piece as a prize.

14. Hyrule Town Market(lens of truth)

In the town is a treasure chest competition that's open only at
night. Enter it and use the lens of truth to see which chest is real.
At the end is this heart piece.

15. Lost Woods (Saria's Song)

When you first enter the woods from Kokiri Forest, go left and play
Saria's Song for the skull kid on the stump who will give you this
heart piece.

16. Lost Woods (Paper and pen)

From the previous area, carry on deeper into the woods until you meet
two more skull kids. Talk to them and they'll ask you to accompany
them on your ocarina while they play their flutes. To remember the
notes easily write them down on your piece of paper. After the jam
session is over, they will give you heart piece number 16.

17. Zora's Domain (Din's Fire and/or Deku Sticks)

Go behind the big waterfall and you'll spot a bunch of torches. You
have to light them all and the ones nearby to make a chest drop which
contains heart piece number 17. I suggest you stand in between the
ones in the waterfall and cast Din's Fire so they all light at once.
Then, light a Deku Stick and run like hell along the shallow water on
the side and light the remaining torches.

18. Goron City (Bombs and Dins Fire or Deku Stick)

At the bottom level are a few torches, light them all and the huge
thing in the middle of the floor will turn. Now, run back to the
upper level and throw a bomb into its opening. If you're lucky, a
heart piece will come out. It's random so if one doesn't come out
just keep trying until it does.

19. Lake Hylia (20+ rupees)

Go to the fishing pond and catch a 10 pound fish. Then take it over
to the man behind the counter an he'll give you this heart piece for
catching so larger fish.

20. Spirit Temple (magic bean, requiem of spirit)

Plant a magic bean near the entrance of this temple and then come
back as an adult and use it to get to this heart piece.

Adult Link

21. Dodongo's Cavern
Go back to where you got the bomb to open up the cavern as a child
and toss the bomb aside. Now, aim yourself at the ledge with the
heart piece on and back flip over the fence and onto the ledge.

22. Kakariko Village (beating Dampe)

After beating Dampe, go out into the windmill and jump over to the
platform and collect this heart piece.

23. Zora's Fountain

Look for a large ice block with a heart on it. Use the nearby
platforms and jump to this platform.

24. Zora's Fountain (iron boots and Zora Tunic)

Jump into the water and go down to the deepest part to find this
heart piece at the bottom with a lot of green rupees.

25. Ice Cavern

This heart piece is in the room where you hit the switch under the
ice with a bomb and the heart was released from the ice block. You
now need to return here and get it.

26. Death Mountain Crater

This heart piece is on one of the lower levels of the crater, near
the part where the lava reaches the rock.

27. Death Mountain Crater (magic bean and bolero of fire)

First, come here as a kid and plant a magic bean in the soft soil are
that's close to the warp point (where you appear when you use the
bolero of fire) and plant a bean there. Then, return as an adult and
ride the bean platform up to where this heart piece is.

28. Lake Hylia (golden scale)

Go inside the lab and use the golden scale to dive down to the bottom
of the pond. The professor will give you this heart piece because you
were able to dive down so far. Don't try using the iron boots because
they do NOT work.

29. Lake Hylia (magic bean)

Plant a bean in the soft soil spot outside the lab as a kid and then
return as an adult and climb the vines to collect this piece on top
of the look out tower.

30. Gerudo Fortress (Longshot, if the bridge is broken)

Cross the bridge into the valley and go to the Carpenters tent. Now,
drop down to the ledge that is at the side of the canyon. Get rid of
the Octorok and then get as close as possible to the big waterfall.
Now, use you longshot to get to the ladder behind the waterfall and
climb to the top to claim heart piece 30.

31. Gerudo Fortress (Longshot)

Whilst exploring the fortress, you've probably seen a chest on top of
a roof. Well, play the scarecrow's song near it to summon Pierre and
use your longshot to get to the chest. Open it to find the next heart
piece.

32. Gerudo Valley (Longshot)

Return to the carpenter's tent and go to the left hand side of it.
Look down and you'll see part of a ledge so drop down to it and go to
the rock at the end. Longshot the crate at the other side of the
canyon heart piece number 32.

33. Gerudo Fortress (Epona)

Do the shooting game with Epona and get over 1,000 points to get this
heart piece, easy eh!

34. Kakariko Village (Longshot/Hookshot)

Use the longshot or hookshot to get on top of the house with the
purple roof. Talk to the man you'll find here and he'll give you it
for free.

35. Kakariko Village (longshot/hookshot)

When you've beaten Dampe for the first time, re-race him and when
you get to the spiral path, use the torches to the right to get save
about three seconds. This should get you a time of under a minute so
Dampe will give you this heart piece.

36. Kakariko Village (magic bean)

Plant a magic bean in the soft soil spot in the corner of the
graveyard as a child and then come back as adult and use it to access
a crate. Smash it and collect the final heart piece, whew!!

Fairy Fountains

Fairies are spirits that you can keep in bottles which either give
you health if you're running low or revive you if you die. Here are
where their fountains are:

1. The upper area of the maze in the Sacred Forest.

2. In the graveyard in Kakariko Village is a grave with flowers. Pull
it out of the way and go down to the tomb below. Bomb the wall and
voila!!

3. At THE START OF Zora's River is a ledge with a boulder on it.
Either use a bean platform or a cucco to get up there. Bomb the
boulder and go down the hole to find this fountain.

4. Near the Spirit Temple entrance is a rock near a sandpit. Play the
song of storms and the rock will turn into this fairy fountain.

5. After exiting the market, turn right and bomb the boulder you'll
find. The fountain is down the hole that appears.

6. In the Gerudo Fortress is a pair of crates. Play the song of
storms and a hole will open up in the wall, guess where the fountain
is!!
7. In Zora's Domain is an island with a Zora on it. Play the song of
storms on this island to reveal a hole that leads to this fairy
fountain.

8. In Ganon's Cstle are some force fields. Fall down to the area
below them and use the Lens of Truth to find a passage that leads to
this fairy fountain and some business scrubs who will sell you some
stuff.

Soft Soil Locations

Beans to plant in the soft soil locations are bought from the fat
dude in Zora's River as a kid. The first batch costs 10 rupees, the
next costs 20, the next costs 30 and so on.

1. Behind the shop in Kokiri Forest.

2. Turn left from the start of the Lost Woods and then turn left
again.

3. Again in the lost woods. A lot deeper this time though.

4. Kakariko Graveyard. By the third batch of graves.

5. Dodongo's Cavern mouth

6. By where the magic beans are bought in Zora's River.

7. In front of the lab at Lake Hylia.

8. Warp to Death Mountain Crater by playing the bolero of fire and
the soil spot is right next to where you appear.

9. Gerudo Valley. Fall to the ledge with a gerudo guard and a cow.

10. Spirit Temple Entrance.

The Four Bottles

The most useful item in the two games is the bottle. Here are the
locations of all four.

1. After rescuing all her cuccos, the chicken lady in Kakariko
Village gives you it.

2. The wird man in the market as an adult gives you this after you
collect the 10 special Poes.

3. You get this one when you get Ruto's note from the bottom of Lake
Hylia before going to Lord Jabu Jabu.

4. Beat Talon's cucco game.

Well, that's it for this update. Keep your eye out though because
I'll be adding much MUCH more pretty soon!!
