Zelda: Oracle of Ages is the second (or first) of the Gameboy Color releases.
It has connectivity with Oracle of Seasons via an interesting password
system, which allows for you to get items and visit areas otherwise out of
reach. In my opinion, Ages is the longer of the two games, and has more
emphasis on solving puzzles, so if that's your thing, definitely check out
this title. As you would expect, this game has all the classic Zelda elements
in it and plays just like the others. This time around, you have to travel
back and forth in time to save the land of Labrynna from chaos. For such a
well travelled hero as Link, this proves to be a wonderful adventure with
plenty of things to do, to keep you busy for many hours.

-= 3. Story -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Link awoke one day to find himself deep in a strange forest. As he started to
walk through the woods, he heard cries for help coming from just up ahead of
him. Link hurried toward the voice, only to find a group of monsters
surrounding the woman who was screaming. When the monsters saw Link, they
immediately fled.

The woman who was being attacked was none other than Impa, nurse to Hyrule's
Princess Zelda. Impa said she had come to the forest to search for a singer
named Nayru.

"Can't you help me look?" Impa asked. Despite the strange look she gave him,
Link could not refuse her request. Together they found a large stone with a
Triforce on it. Naturally, Link moved the stone, but Impa wouldn't so much as
lay a hand on it.

As they traveled even deeper into the forest, they found a young woman
singing. Invited to sit by the group of animals that listened to the girl's
song, Link joined in the circle and let the beautiful song fill his ears and
penetrate his heart. This was surely Nayru, the singer Impa was searching
for. Just then, Impa erupted in a cackling laugh.

"Ah ha ha ha ha ha!"

A darkness surrounded Impa, and a frightening shadow lifted from her body.

"Nayru! Oracle of Ages! I, Veran, Sorceress of Shadows, shall make you my
own!"

The shadow that called itself Veran began swooping about the forest before
flying straight into the body of the frightened singer. A blinding light
shone forth from Nayru's body.

When Link's eyes had grown used to the light, he realized that Nayru looked
very strange. Her face seemed veiled in shadow, and her bright smile had
vanished. A piercing, evil gaze had replaced it.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!"

"Now the power of the Oracle of Ages is mine! I can travel through time at
will! Now a new age shall begin-an age of shadows!" And with that, Veran and
Nayru vanished.

Nayru was actually the Oracle of Ages who controlled time in this land of
Labrynna. When the oracle was kidnapped, the flow of time in Labrynna was
distorted, and strange things began to happen. Before vanishing, Veran said,
"When the past changes, so does the present." Her plan was to travel to the
past and gather power from the sorrows of the people of Labrynna so that she
could create her age of shadows.

Will Link be able to free Nayru from Veran's evil clutches? Such is the quest
that Link must now undertake.

Introduction
------------

The game opens with Link falling into an open plain in the land of Labrynna.
All you can do is go north 2 screens, to where a lady is being attacked by a
couple enemies. They will run off and the woman will introduce herself as
Impa, protector of Princess Zelda. She is looking for the singer Nayru, and
decides to follow you in that search. Head north and west a screen each,
where you will find a block with the Triforce markings on it. Impa will ask
you to push it aside, so do it and continue north a couple areas.

You will find Nayru singing to a group of animals and a couple of people.
Talk to everyone, then talk to the red animal again so they move aside. Move
up and you will listen to Nayru sing for a bit. The man in blue standing by
her will then speak to you. He is Richard, a friend of Nayru. The singer will
now speak to you for a bit, while Impa wanders off in the corner. Then, the
area will turn dark and Impa will strike. The evil sorceress Veran will
assume a physical state after exiting Impa's possessed body, and takes Nayru
away by possessing her body! Veran and Nayru will then use the warp on the
upper ledge to return to the past, and all sorts of odd events start taking
place in the present due to their actions.

Forest of Time
--------------

After all this is said and done, talk to Impa and she will give you the
Wooden Sword. She then asks you to visit the Maku Tree in Lynna City to the
south. So, head south 3 screens and west 1 to enter Lynna City.

Lynna City
----------

Here, head north a screen and visit the Ring Shop for the first time.
Continue north another screen from there and walk into the cave, referred to
as Maku Road. There isn't anything worth doing in the present day here, but
heading north until you exit. At the other end you'll meet the Maku Tree,
guardian of this land of Labrynna. She tries to help you, but then suddenly
because of Veran's actions in the past, the Maku Tree vanishes! So, continue
east to the next screen and step into the time portal.

====
Past
====

Northeast Lynna
---------------

When you arrive in the past, you will quickly notice that the landscape is
changed. The city of Lynna is only a village in the past as well, which
should make sense. Anyway, head south and west to enter the village.

Lynna Village
-------------

In this village, feel free to wander around and visit the different buildings
and people that inhabit it. If you visit Pippin's house in the northwest, he
will give you a Gasha Seed. You can plant it in the soft soil 1 screen south
of there, too. When you're done exploring, head to the far west across the
stream, and continue south to the Black Tower.

Black Tower
-----------

In this area, head south and east a screen, and talk to the worker in the
way. A cutscene will start where he explains the purpose of the tower, and
how time has stopped in the past because of it. He will then move aside, so
go inside. Head east, north, and to the west, through this tower. Talk to the
worker standing by himself near some pits, and he will give you the Shovel.
Use it to dig your way through the dirt, in order to make a quick shortcut
southward out of here. Then, just exit the tower and continue west and north
into the village once more.

Lynna Village
-------------

Back in the village, make your way to the northeast area where you'll find
lots of dirt blocking access to the Maku Road. Use your Shovel to clear it,
then enter the cave.

Maku Road
---------

Starting off, simply continue into the second room. There, push the block
forward to open the door ahead. Kill the bats and push the block aside to
gain access to the room, and continue to the east. Defeat the 3 small blobs
to open the north door. In that room, take the east path, pushing the blocks
out of the way, and step on the switch to make a chest appear. Go around the
other way to collect the Small key inside.

Backtrack a couple rooms and unlock a door to the west, and enter this puzzle
room. Go to the left formation and push the right blocks left and upward,
then push the middle block left so you can hit the switch. In the room to the
north, beat a couple Stalfos and push the blocks aside to get a Piece of
Heart. Then, push the lone block to the side to open the eastern door. Now,
all you need to do is go upstairs to exit.

Outside, the Maku Sprout will be under attack by a couple enemies; kill them
and the Maku Sprout will thank you. After speaking to you for a bit, proceed
to exit to the south, and it will mention becoming your bride in the future
(present day). Either way, go south and step into the time portal to return
to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Lynna City
----------

When you return here, go north to visit the Maku Tree. Talk to it and the
tree will realize who you are, and remind you of that "promise" made 400
years earlier in the past. After listening to the tree speak, it will mention
how you need to get the 8 Essences of Time in order to restore peace to the
land. The first essence is in Yoll Graveyard to the east, as the tree
explains. Finally, the Maku Tree will give you a Seed Satchel, complete with
20 Ember Seeds inside! Now, go back south into the city.

If you don't have any already, dig around in the grass or cut bushes in the
surrounding region to acquire rupees. To do this quickly, go to the screen
north of the Ring Shop and burn the shrub to the right with an Ember Seed.
Then, open the chest the path leads to, and you'll get 30 rupees. Now that
you have at least 30, go to the Shop and buy the Wooden Shield. You are now
ready to go, so head out of the city by going east.

Forest of Time
--------------

Out here, go north, east, and south to find a shrub near a signpost. Burn it
down and continue into the graveyard.

Yoll Graveyard
--------------

Burn down the shrub ahead of you, then go east and south a screen. You'll see
a ghost enclosed in its own area; don't worry about it for now. Going west
you'll find some kids talking about the ghost you just passed. Once they run
off, head south across a bridge into a new area. Continue east 2 screens,
then burn the bottom shrub and go downstairs into a cave. Inside, make your
way to the first lantern and light it, then light the second one across the
room. Grab the Graveyard Key that appears, then exit the cave.

Next, backtrack to where that ghost was, and head north from there. You will
come to a locked gate, where you can use your key to pass through. From here,
make your way east and southward through several more areas. Cross the bridge
to the south and enter the first dungeon at the other side.

Level 1: Spirit's Grave
-----------------------

Starting off in this dungeon, head into the east room. Defeat a few blobs,
then push the middle block in the formation aside and enter the north
chamber. Push the cube forward into the pit to ignite blue flames, opening
the door to the east. Go down the south steps to a chest in the previous room
containing a Map, then go back and push the cube south and exit the room. Go
back north and push it into the pit again, then go east this time (you can go
into the north room to get a Compass, then burn the west wall and go into
that room for a ring, if you want to of course).

In the east room, defeat some Stalfos and head into the northern room. Kill
the ghost in this next area and grab the Small Key that falls, then go into
the western area. Push the middle block ahead, then go north through the
locked door. There, defeat a couple Keese and push the northeast block
upward. Open the chest to get a Small Key, then go west. Push the bottom
block left and the other block upward, then follow the path around and to the
east. Go east, then north into a locked room. Push the block forward, then
the other blocks to the side to gain access to the left/right sides of the
room. Step on both switches to make a chest and a moving platform appear.
Ride that platform to the chest with a Small Key inside.

Back in the previous room, go west and north a room. In here, go onto the
moving platform and push the block to the right. Get to the northeast corner
of the room and step on the floor switch, then open the chest nearby to get a
Gasha Seed. Go left and up the steps, then drop onto the platform and head
west. In this next room, simply unlock the south door and go through. In here
you'll have to fight a giant ghost mini-boss. Simply use your sword to attack
it, while fending off its tiny spawn. After you kill it, go into the west
room. In there, defeat a couple Moblins and unlock the south door, then head
into that room.

Here, go forward and push the 2 side blocks downward, then the middle block
to the side. In the room ahead, kill some Stalfos as you make your way east
and north again. Defeat a couple more Stalfos in here, then light the 2
lanterns with your Ember Seeds to make steps appear. Go downstairs and
collect the Power Bracelet in the basement. Exit here and go south a room,
and use your new item to lift the pots in the way. Go up the steps and open
that chest to receive a ring. Go south into another room and push the pot
onto the switch to open the east door. In that room, defeat some Stalfos and
open the chest surrounded by pots to get the Boss Key.

Now, go east a room and step into the warp to reach the mini-boss room, as a
shortcut. From here, go north 2 rooms and unlock the boss door to your east.
In the next room, you'll face up against Pumpkin Head as the dungeon boss.
Read the Bosses section below for help defeating him, should you need it.
After the fight, take the Heart Container and go into the final room. There,
take the Essence of Time, the Eternal Spirit. You will then exit here.

Yoll Graveyard
--------------

Back outside, the Maku Tree will speak to you. It will mention sensing
another essence in the Western Woods; guess that's where you'll be heading
next. Make your way north and west out of the graveyard, and return to the
city.

Lynna City
----------

When you arrive here, make your way to the west side across the bridge. Go
south and exit to the west.

Nuun Highlands
--------------

In this new area, lift the rock out of the way and defeat the Octorok.
Continue west and south a screen each to enter the forest.

Fairies' Woods
--------------

Here, make your way south and east along the straightforward path. When you
reach a split, go west and north to a tree. Suddenly, 3 fairies will pop out
and decide to play hide-and-seek with you. They will each hide in a different
area, and instruct you to find them. Wander around this maze (the paths won't
lead to where they normally would, because of the fairies curse) and find the
3 fairies in the spots they went off to. Use this as a quick guide to find
them all, starting from the middle tree area:

1. Left, down, up: check under rock
2. Left, left: check under bushes
3. Left, down: check under bushes

After you find all 3, the fairies will revert the forest back to normal so
you can continue. Now, go east a screen and lift up the rock to reach the
ancient cave. It crumbles before you even get a chance to go in, however. The
Maku Tree will then advise you to go by Nayru's house for some help. So, head
north a couple screens out of the forest, and make your way by the Forest of
Time in the northeast (check your map if you get lost).

Forest of Time
--------------

Here again, go to the northeast area and enter Nayru's house. Inside, push
the fairy statue aside and walk into a hidden room. Go down the stairs you
find and collect the Harp of Ages! Nayru will now appear to you and explains
the reason for hiding the harp like this. She will then teach you the Echo
Tune, which will allow you to open up time portals from the strange markings
you'll find throughout Labrynna. Go back upstairs and outside, and play your
new tune to open the time portal next to her house. Step into it and travel
through time once again.

====
Past
====

Northeast Lynna
---------------

Upon your arrival, simply go west and south, then westward into Lynna
Village.

Lynna Village
-------------

Here again, make your way westward, across the bridge to the other side of
town. Lift the rock out of the way to the southwest, and continue onward out
of town.

West Lynna
----------

Out here, head west 2 areas, defeating the Octoroks you find on the way.
Then, go south into the Deku Forest.

Deku Forest
-----------

In this winding forest, start by going south and east, then south another
screen. Go west and you'll find that ancient cave again, still standing but
with a sealed entrance. You'll need something to blast it open, but have
nothing yet, so continue to the west and north. Go west and south, then west
as far as you can go. Then, go north and burn down the shrub, and continue
north to some steps. Go down them and cut down the bushes, then follow the
path along the east wall, to some steps to the west. Go up them to exit, then
go south to a seed tree. Cut down the Mystery Seeds to get some.

Now that you have some seeds, go back north and down the steps. Follow the
path back out, and go up the first steps you come across. Out there, go south
and a guard will spot you as you walk off. He will escort you to the palace,
to meet Queen Ambi in person. You will give her the Mystery Seeds, and as
thanks she will give you 10 Bombs. After you leave, you'll witness a quick
scene between the queen and the possessed Nayru. Following this, you will be
outside in the village again; return to the sealed cave in the forest now.

Now that you have bombs, use one to blast open the cave. When you're ready,
go inside to the second dungeon.

Level 2: Wing Dungeon
---------------------

Start by going forward into the next room. Use your Shield to flip the
shelled enemies, then kill them with your sword. In the room to the west, go
left and up the steps to reach a puzzle of sorts. You must push the cube so
it falls into the hole with the red side up. Do this by pushing the cube
right 2, up 1, left 1, down 1, and then all the way left. The door will now
open, so head into that room. Push the upper-right block out of the way and
defeat the Ropes in here. Bomb the right wall and go into that room. Open the
chest inside to get a Map, then exit the room and continue northward.

In the new room, simply continue west for 2 rooms. In the last room, defeat
the enemies and take the Small Key that falls from above. Now, backtrack a
bunch of rooms to the dungeon entrance. This time, enter the east room by
unlocking the door. In there, defeat the Ropes, then bomb the south wall and
go in there. Clear the enemies in there, then go down the steps. Climb to the
right and drop down, then ride the moving platform to the right. In the
second half of the basement, trigger the Thwomp to fall and run below when it
moves upward again. Ride the moving platform upward to the ladder and climb
out.

Defeat the enemies in this next room, then open the chest for a Small Key. Go
back through the basement dungeon to the previous area, then go north. Push
the block aside and open the chest here to get the Compass. Continuing to the
north, beat a couple enemies and head through the locked door. Ride the mine
cart through several rooms until it stops, then go north. Here you'll face up
against a bird mini-boss. Stand around until the bird is about to fall, then
move and hit it when it lands to cause damage. Be careful not to fall into
the holes in the ground this causes, though.

After you beat the mini-boss, go through the upper door to the right and down
the steps at the other side. In the new area, go south 1 room and east 1
room. Go up the stairs in the following room, and head right past the Thwomp
when it goes back up. In the second area, take Roc's Feather from the bottom
half. Go back left and jump onto the Thwomp, and ride it upward. Jump to the
left ledge and grab 30 rupees, then go back down the ladder. In the room you
were in, you'll see a red block and a yellowish tile. Jump over the tile to
change its color to red, then enter the east room.

Here, jump over the pits as you make your way to the far right. Once there,
ride the mine cart into the room ahead. Hit the switch to change the track's
direction so you can stop here. Bomb the right wall and go into that room.
There, defeat the enemies to make a chest appear; open it for a Small Key. Go
back a room and you'll have a cube puzzle to solve. Push it up 2, right 1, up
1, left 1, and down 1. This will open the track going west for you, so ride
the mine cart into that room now. Jump over the set of tiles to match the
blue/yellow blocks to the left, and a Small Key will appear.

Grab the key from here, and head into the west room. Go up the steps and
unlock the key block to the right, then head south. Drop off the ledge and
continue into the south room. Hop over the gaps to the colored tile, then
jump over it twice to make it blue, thus opening the gate. Go back to the
north room, then go west and northeast, and up those steps once again. This
time, go down the right steps and ride the mine cart ahead. In the room where
you end up, jump to a chest containing a Gasha Seed. In the north room,
defeat all the enemies, then clear the pots except for the top-right one.
Push it around to the floor switch, then use it to open the door so you can
run through.

In here, walk into the south room for now. You will have to push some colored
statue blocks to match the formation on the left. Note that you can only push
the statue blocks that are the same color as the flame, so you'll have to
change the tile's color by jumping over it to change the flame, so you can
move everything around. Once you get the formation right, grab the Small Key
and continue north. Unlock the east door first and run into that room. Here,
change the color of the tiles by hopping over the middle one, so that the
camouflaged blobs stand out. Kill them by alternating the colors and using
your sword, then open the chest that appears to receive the Boss Key.

Leave this room and open the north door this time. In here, simply go north
and east to the boss's door. Unlock it with your key and go on to meet the
boss. Go up the steps into a basement area, where you'll meet the Head Thwomp
boss. As usual, visit the Bosses section for help with defeating it. Once you
win, take the Heart Container and climb down the right ladder to the room
above. Go into the last room and collect the second Essence of Time, the
Ancient Wood. You will now be taken outside again.

Deku Forest
-----------

The Maku Tree will once again contact you out here. It will mention the
Crescent Islands to the south as your next destination via the village coast.
For now, return to Lynna Village.

Lynna Village
-------------

Here, make your way to the southeast area of town. You'll find a path going
southward along the water. Follow it until you reach a gap you can jump over
to the right. Jump over and go north to Cheval's house. Talk to Cheval
inside, then as you exit, Ralph will catch up to you. He will mention a grave
in the present era with Cheval's name on it. Perhaps you should head there
next. So, go back into the village to the screen south of the Maku Sprout.
Play the Harp of Ages to open up the time portal, then jump in.

=======
Present
=======

Lynna City
----------

In the present day, head south and eastward to reach the Yoll Graveyard.

Yoll Graveyard
--------------

Here, burn down the shrub and go east a screen. You will find a winged bear
known as Moosh, being badgered by some ghosts. Kill them and talk to Moosh to
unfrighten him. He will let you climb onto his back; tap A to hover, hold it
to charge for a ground pound, and avoid the water. Head west and north to an
area full of holes in the floor. With Moosh, you can easily hover across all
of them to the tombstone in the back. Push the stone back and go into the
cave below.

Down here, follow the path around until you reach a signpost. Jump to the dry
ledge and pull the wall lever as far back as possible. Then, quickly jump
over the water and run up the steps before the blocks come together, and
collect Zora's Flippers. Now you can swim in the deeper water with no
problem! Go back a room and swim along the north side of the reef to reach a
dry ledge with the Cheval Rope sitting atop it. Now that you have what you
need, go south and exit this grave.

Outside again, lift the rock and jump over the single gap, and head south and
west to exit the graveyard. From there, continue back to the city.

Lynna City
----------

Back in the city, go north and east to the time portal by the Maku Tree. Play
the Harp of Ages and step into the portal to return to the past.

====
Past
====

Lynna Village
-------------

Now that you're back, go into the village and head south and west to the
statue in the water. From there, go south to a new area.

South Shore
-----------

In this area, cross the bridge and continue southward to a building. Go
inside and talk to Rafton, the raft-maker. He will want the Cheval Rope to
build his device, so give it to him. A raft will be built for you, but he
wants you to get a chart before going out to sea. So, exit the house and go
north. Ralph will meet up with you once again, mentioning someone with the
Island Chart you need. Head back north and east to Lynna Village, and warp
back to the past via the time portal you open up outside of Maku Road.

=======
Present
=======

Lynna City
----------

From where you appear, go south a couple screens to where the Shop is. Then,
go east to exit the city.

Forest of Time
--------------

Follow the path north, east, and south through here until you see Ricky the
kangaroo. Talk to him and he will tell you about his gloves that he lost. He
mentions dropping them by a tree on the beach, though. Head south and west
over a hole (past Zelda fans will notice Tingle floating there, we'll be
visiting him soon). Go south and west onto the beach, where you'll find a
tree. Dig around in front of it to get Ricky's Gloves.

Return the gloves to Ricky and he will let you go for a ride with him. He can
scale cliffs and jump over small holes, which is very useful. So, go south
and west, and jump up the cliff by Tingle. Go south and over a gap, then
north and up another cliff. Jump out, then use Roc's Feather to jump and
swipe Tingle's balloon with your sword. Talk to Tingle and agree to be his
friend and he will give you the Island Chart as a token of appreciation. Now
that you have what you need, return to the ledge east of the Maku Tree and
warp to the past.

====
Past
====

Lynna Village
-------------

Back in the past once more, head southward past the statue, to the shore
area.

South Shore
-----------

Continue southward after crossing the bridge, and pay a second visit to
Rafton. Now that you have the chart, he'll let you ride the newly built raft.
Exit via the eastern doorway and step onto the raft to start riding; use the
directional pad to move around. So, head to the south and you'll be on your
way.

Sea of Storms
-------------

Out on the open sea, stay away from whirlpools and the pinkish blobs since
you'll lose health by touching them. Make your way to the east and north to a
wide open section of sea. At that point, a storm will kick up and your raft
will be destroyed.

Crescent Island
---------------

You will wash up on the shore of the secret island to the southeast. A bunch
of Tokays are there waiting for you, and they manage to steal your entire
inventory before running off! This means you have to collect all your items
again before progressing with your quest. Starting off, go east and south to
a Tokay carrying your Shovel. Get that back first, then head north. When you
reach the cave, go inside. Head all the way north and push that rock to the
left. Dig through the dirt piles and head south to a Tokay with your Wooden
Sword.

Exit the cave and go west a screen. Push the plant in front of the
indentation of the wall (you'll see why later). Then, continue west and
north. Go up the steps and continue right. Go south when you reach the enemy
filled area, and cut through the bushes. Continue east and south to an open
area where a green plant is sitting in the middle area. Push it in front of
the wall to the northwest, then continue south and down to the beach. Follow
the path east and all the way north to a building on an island. Inside, trade
the Shovel for the Power Bracelet, and exit.

Go south and west, and up the steps again. This time, take the path going
east and north. Lift the rock out of your way and go down the steps into an
underground cave. Push the rocks aside to reach the other steps, then go up
them to reach the Bombs. In the previous room, bomb the cracked blocks and
open the chest for a Gasha Seed. Go up the left steps to exit, and head back
down to the beach. Go east and north to some more steps; go up them and bomb
the wall to enter. Inside, pay 10 rupees to play a meat-throwing game of
sorts. Throw meat at every Tokay on the sides to win the Scent Seedling.

Now, go south and west, then northward a bit. Cut through the bushes to the
left, then go north and east to a line of rocks. Lift them up and continue
east to a Tokay. Talk to him and you'll be able to plant the seedling here.
Drop off the right ledge and go east, and north into the trading hut. Give up
your Power Bracelet for Roc's Feather this time, and exit. Go all the way
south and west, then go up the steps and hop over the pits to the left. Go
west and north to a cracked wall; bomb it and go inside. Clear the cracked
rocks in this area, and talk to the Tokay to retrieve Zora's Flippers again.

Return to the trading hut and give up your feather for the Power Bracelet
once more. Then, go back to the same cave where you just were, and lift the
rocks in the northwest corner of the cave. Dive in the deep spot to reach an
underwater room. Swim/climb through it and you'll emerge on a high ledge.
Clear the rocks and go upstairs to exit. Outside, talk to the Tokay nearby to
get the Seed Satchel back, complete with all its seeds. Go back to the trader
and this time, give him 10 Mystery Seeds in exchange for Roc's Feather. With
it, leave here and go south, then west over the gaps again. This time, go
west and enter the cave you find there.

Throw away the pots and go downstairs, and swim through the underground area.
Jump up the ladder and onto the moving platform, and continue right/up the
final ladder to the upper floor. Continue out of the cave, and speak with the
Tokay outside to recover your Harp of Ages. Go back into the cave and lift
the pots so you can go right and exit as a shortcut. Head all the way east
onto the beach, and go north a screen. Play the Harp of Ages to make the time
portal appear, then step into it.

Crescent Island
---------------

Here, head to the south and west, then up the steps. Go all the way north and
west, and go down the vines. Go west and north, and up another set of vines.
Continue east to the tree that grew from the seedling in the past. Cut down
the Scent Seeds, and then drop off the right ledge. Go east and south to the
time portal marking, and play your Harp of Ages to open it.

Crescent Island
---------------

Back here, go north into the trading hut one more time. Give back the Power
Bracelet to get your Shovel, then give 10 Scent Seeds to get the bracelet
back. Now that you have all your items back, leave here. Make your way
through the caves to the southwest corner of the island. There, clear the
dirt and use the Harp of Ages once more to warp back to the present day.

Crescent Island

Now that you're here once again, follow the path going north and around,
until you enter the next dungeon.

Level 3: Moonlit Grotto
-----------------------

From the start, push the middle block in the upper-left corner to the left,
then bomb the cracked block. In the west room, defeat the Pols Voices by
playing the Harp of Ages, then open the chest to get the Map. Back in the
entrance room, go north. Defeat the Moldorms and head east when the doors
open. There, break the blue object with your sword and continue into the
north area. Go through the revolver to reach the east room. Here, make your
way around the room, using Bombs to clear the cracked blocks. Then, push your
way to the blue object in the middle of the mess, and break it. Finally, push
the statue into its proper spot in the formation, to collect a falling Small
Key.

Go back through the revolver to the south, then go west and north through a
locked door. In there, go east to the revolver and use it to go southward.
Repeat this goaround again so you can reach the north room via the revolver.
In that room, simply go east for now. Step on the floor switch in the back
corner to make the 4 Armos statues come to life. Use Bombs to defeat them,
then grab the Small Key and leave the room. Backtrack through the revolver
room so you end up in the western room. Now, drop into the pit to reach the
basement.

Down here, kill the mass amount of enemies in the room, then head south. Use
your sword to kill the Moldorm through the south wall, and go through the
open door to the south. Play the Harp of Ages to clear the Pols Voices once
again, then enter the door on the left in the north wall. Follow the path
going north to a staircase; go up those to the upper floor. Break the blue
object, then go back down the steps and head south. Throw Bombs to defeat the
Moldorm above, and go into the bottom-left chamber. Follow the path into a
western room. Throw a Bomb onto the conveyor so it explodes by the crystal
switch, then use another Bomb to clear the Armos statue. Open the chest to
get a Compass, then head upstairs.

Head south and west into the next room from the upper ledge. In here, you'll
spot 3 blocks that are clustered together. Push the 2 to the sides, and the
middle one to the north wall. Take the Small Key that appears and exit this
room. Drop off the ledge and go east 1 room, and north 2 rooms. From there,
go east and through the revolver to reach the north room. In there, unlock
the north door and go into that room. Avoid the flying tiles and defeat the
blob enemies, then continue into the west chamber. Go south, west, and north
a few rooms until you reach another locked door. Go up the steps and go south
to a chest containing 30 rupees, then return to that door and open it.

Inside you'll find an unlit torch in the center of the room. Ignore it for
now and go into the next room. There, defeat the enemies and open the chest
to receive the Seed Shooter. You can now shoot your seeds at enemies, which
even ricochet off walls! In the previous room, shoot an Ember Seed at the
torch to light it, then go south. Go south and east and north around the
bush-filled room, continuing into the flying tile room. Go south from there
after the barrage, and shoot a seed diagonally at the final blue object. This
will cause something heavy (namely that revolver) to fall into the basement.
Go south another room and open the chest that's in its place to receive a
Gasha Seed.

Now, go west a room and drop into the pit to reach the basement once more.
When you land, go east and through the revolver to reach the south room. In
here, defeat the armored enemies and push the rightmost blocks into the pit.
Ricochet seeds off the walls to light the torches, causing a chest to appear.
Open it to get another Gasha Seed. From here, go west, north, east, and north
a room. Continue north for another room, and you'll be in a sand-filled area
fighting a mini-boss. Defeat it by using the Shovel to dig it out from the
ground, then attacking with your sword.

After this fight, go into the west room. Head north from here and defeat the
Moldorms, then push the bottom-right block to the left, and collect the Small
Key that appears. Next, go back to the mini-boss room; from there, go south
2, west 1, and north 1 room. In the area where you should end up, go across
the bridge and hit the crystal switch once. Shoot a seed at the red bar to
make it hit the lever, switching the bridges. Go right and hit that crystal
switch 2 times, and shoot at that bar again. Go south to a chest containing
20 rupees, then unlock the north door and proceed onward.

In here, shoot the crystal switch once, then shoot the bar from the right
side so the seed bounces and hits the lever. Cross the bridge and hit the
crystal switch twice, then shoot the bar again. Go across the north bridge
next and continue to the next area. Push the block to the right and make your
way south, east, and south to the revolver room. Use it to reach the east
chamber, where you'll find a floor switch. Stand on it, but do NOT move.
Instead, face northeast and shoot a seed. If it ricochets right, it'll hit
the lever, opening the north door. In that room, open the chest to get the
Boss Key.

Now, backtrack several rooms to the room where you pushed the block to the
right. Go back there, and enter the boss room to the west this time. Here,
you will fight the Shadow Hag as the dungeon boss. Read the appropriate
section for help defeating this creature. When it's over, collect the Heart
Container and enter the final room. There you will find the third Essence of
Time, the Echoing Howl. You will now be taken outside once again.

Crescent Island
---------------

As soon as you step outside, you will witness a cutscene with the possessed
Nayru and Queen Ambi, about the tower nearing completion. The Maku Tree will
then contact you, saying that there's another essence to the northwest of
Lynna City in the present era. Anyway, go south, west, and north along the
path. You will then find some Tokays surrounding a dinosaur named Dimitri.
Give the Tokays Ember Seeds and they will run away, leaving you with the
animal friend. He will offer you a ride through the seas as thanks; you can
attack with A, and even pick up/throw Dimitri to other areas.

South Shore
-----------

Use Dimitri to go to the shore northwest of the island. As soon as you hit
land, he will depart, leaving you alone once more. So, head northward and
collect Ember Seeds from the tree before entering the city.

Lynna City
----------

In Lynna City again, make your way all the way west (you can swim west if you
like) until you exit the city.

Nuun Highlands
--------------

In the first area, go up the steps to another screen. On the ledge across
from you is a lever; use the Seed Shooter to burn down the tree in front of
it, then hit the lever to form a bridge. Cross it and continue to the north.
Follow the dry path through the highlands until you start to find holes in
the ground. At that point, use Roc's Feather to jump over the holes and
continue onward. Go north and you will find a worker standing by a broken
bridge, complaining that the bridge to Symmetry City Ruins will never be
completed because of everyone's laziness. You can't do much about that now,
so go back south and west.

NOTE: Depending on which animal friend you have, the eastern section of the
highlands may appear very differently. This walkthrough will cover
Moosh's path, since he is the friend you get just by playing the game
      normally.

As you make your way back down through the highlands, a fairy will stop you.
It will tell you that a winged bear (Moosh) is in their forest and won't
leave, so they need your help. Guess that's where you're going now, so
continue all the way south across the bridge you formed before, and down the
steps. From there, go west and south into the woods.

Fairies' Woods
--------------

In this area, head south and west to the tree where the fairies are lingering
around. From that point, go north, south, and north again. You will find
Moosh sitting around looking for food. Talk to him and the fairy will come
and escort you out of the forest. You will also receive Moosh's Flute at this
point, should you need his help again later on. He also accompanies you now
since you'll be needing his help anyway. So, head back north to the
highlands.

Nuun Highlands
--------------

Back in this region, make your way across the bridge and northward, until you
reach the holes again. Then, go north and talk to the head carpenter. Agree
to help him find the others, and you'll be on your way. Head east a screen to
find a bush in front of a line of holes. Ground pound to clear it, then fly
across the pit. Fly onto the steps halfway through the pit, and then around
the corner above while flying over the holes. Talk to the first carpenter to
get him to leave.

Go back down and head eastward to a larger hole pit. Fly to the far right
corner, then south by the bushes. Clear them and continue all the way south
and west across more holes, until you reach some steps. Go up the steps and
talk to the second carpenter to get him back to work. Backtrack to the east
and north across the large hole sections, then when you reach a northbound
path, take it. Go north and fly across some holes to reach the steps.
Continue north and east, then down the steps. Head east and fly across the
holes to reach the final carpenter.

After you speak to him, you'll be automatically taken back to where the
bridge is. The carpenters will work hard to build it right then, so after
they leave, cross over to Symmetry Village.

Symmetry Village
----------------

In the first area of this region, defeat the 2 enemies you find. Then, go up
the steps into the village itself. Go west a screen and collect the Gale
Seeds from the tree. Also, cut down the bushes to reveal 2 time portal
markings. Play the Harp of Ages to make the portals appear, then step into
either one and return to the past.

====
Past
====

Symmetry Village
----------------

As soon as you arrive, enter the main building in the same area. Talk to the
girl on the right and she will explain that the Tuni Nut was broken, and that
it is responsible for keeping the city in perfect balance. Talking to the
other girl, you will learn that a man named Patch is atop Restoration Wall
and can fix the broken Tuni Nut, so you'll need to reach him. Exit the
building and go to the northeast house. Talk to the man here to get the
broken Tuni Nut, then exit. Head south 1 screen, then go west and down the
steps to exit town. Defeat the 2 enemies in this area before continuing west
to Talus Peaks.

Talus Peaks
-----------

Here, head up the steps to a watery plateau of sorts. Continue north to the
peak, and you will see a deep patch of water in the northeast corner. Go
there and dive, then swim through the side-view cavern. Climb out at the
other side and you will be in a building. Talk to Tokkay inside and he will
be frustrated over finding the meaning of some phrase. Play the Harp of Ages
for him, and he will become inspired and teaches you the Tune of Currents,
which allows you to warp in time at any point.

Now that you have this second tune, exit the cave and head south 2, then west
1 screen. Defeat the blue enemies here, then go to the southmost point of
this platform and play the Tune of Currents.

=======
Present
=======

Talus Peaks
-----------

When you emerge in the present era, you'll notice a warp swirl for easy
access back to the past. Either way, for now go down the steps to the next
area. Follow the path going southward and to the east, and you'll find a vine
and some steps. Go up the steps and lift the rock to reveal markings of a
time portal. Play the Tune of Echoes to warp back to the past now.

====
Past
====

Talus Peaks
-----------

When you reemerge in an earlier time, go north into a cave. Head up the steps
inside and you'll find 2 cave exits. For now, take the right exit and push
the block into the water. This will drain the left side and flood your side.
This is exactly what you needed to do, so go back into the cave and back down
the steps. Outside, go down the steps and push the plant bulb underneath the
right indent. Play the Tune of Currents to return to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Talus Peaks
-----------

Once again in the present day, climb up the newly formed vines to the right
this time. Go right into the now-flooded area which would otherwise be
covered with holes. Head north and west, then down some steps to a time
portal. Play the Tune of Echoes yet again to return to the past.

====
Past
====

Talus Peaks
-----------

Now that you're back, go north, east, and south to the flooded area. Now that
you're up here, go down the steps to the new area to the south. Go east and
north until you reach a signpost that points ahead to the Restoration Wall.
Climb the vines and you'll be on that wall.

Restoration Wall
----------------

As you climb up the vine-covered wall, watch out for the falling rocks from
above. Stay toward the middle of the wall as you go north a couple screens to
the top. Once you reach the peak, go into the cave. Talk to Patch inside and
he will offer to perform a ceremony to fix the Tuni Nut. Agree to do so, then
go downstairs. Talk to Patch to play his crazy cart game. Basically, you have
to knock the 4 enemies into the pit before the mine cart crashes, unless you
can lure the enemies away enough to step on the switch as the cart passes.
Either way, you must clear all 4 enemies to get the restored Tuni Nut back.

Leave Patch's cave and head in either direction, dropping off one of the
ledges. Then, go up the steps into the village again.

Symmetry Village
----------------

Back in the village, go into the middle building and put the Tuni Nut on the
high platform up ahead. This will calm the volcanic eruptions plaguing the
village. Go outside and north a screen, and play the Tune of Currents to
return to the present era.

=======
Present
=======

Symmetry Village
----------------

Upon your arrival here, you will spot a new cave in the now-defunct volcano.
Step inside to enter the latest dungeon.

Level 4: Skull Dungeon
----------------------

From the start, go into the second room and head west into that chamber.
Clear the enemies inside and continue through the open door ahead. Go north
to a block-filled room, then go west and south into the previous room again.
This time, push the center block downward and open the chest to get a
Compass. In the room ahead, you'll have to push a cube around into the hole
with the right color facing up. Push it down 4, right 1, up 1, left 1, down
1, and finally left 2. Open the chest that appears to find a Small Key. Head
up the steps and into the next room, then continue east for 3 rooms.

In the room where you end up, hop over the lava and defeat the fire bats, and
get to the center platform. Push a block to the left so you can continue
jumping across the lava. Then, push another block east so you have access to
the locked door. In that next room, kill some Stalfos and make your way to
the east. Ride the mine cart to a room with a chest containing the Map. Then,
ride it back to the start and hit the lever this time. Ride the cart into the
south room again, but this time swipe the lever as you pass it to the left.
In the south room ahead, ricochet seeds with the shooter diagonally to the
lower-right to hit the crystal switch (avoid hitting the Moldorm). Open the
chest that appears to get a Small Key.

From here, ride the cart back up a room, and get off in there. Defeat the
enemies and unlock the door in the northeast corner of the room. Go into the
north room and continue into the east room, where you can avoid blade traps
and hop over some lava. Moving into the room to the north, pull the wall
lever as far back as possible to drain the lava temporarily, then quickly run
across the room. In the next room, defeat the 4 Stalfos and head into the
room that opens up. Hop across the lava and knock around the rubber-top
enemies, then go north. In here, jump over the tiles enclosed by blocks to
change their colors. Match the blocks to the right and the west door will
open for you.

Defeat the enemies in this room, then trigger the blade traps so you can push
the cube around. Push it down 2, left 4, and down 2. This will raise the bar
on the track, so jump into the mine cart and ride into the following room.
Where you end up, defeat the Ropes and head east. Defeat the Keese and stand
on the top half of the moving platform. When it stops at the north, use the
Seed Shooter to diagonally launch a seed to the southeast so you hit the
crystal switch. Collect the Small Key and leave this room. Walk into the room
to the west where the tracks lead, and kill some more enemies inside. Open
the key block, then jump over the colored tile until it turns blue, opening
the gate. Go back a room and ride the left mine cart onward now.

Next, as you ride the cart through the track-filled room, shoot seeds to kill
all the Stalfos to the north. This will open a door at the end of the track.
In that room, jump between the moving platforms and continue to the south
room. Clear the room of the Peahats, then jump on the tiles so their colors
match the blocks above. Grab the Small Key that falls down, and go back out
of this room. Unlock the key block in front of you and ride that mine cart to
the new area. When you stop, go west into a mini-boss room. You face a giant
Armos here; move around so the giant spinning sword flies through the enemy,
causing damage. After the shield is destroyed, attack with your sword while
moving to avoid the charging.

Once the fight's done, go south and west a room. Defeat the enemies you meet
and continue south, then east across a bridge. In the next area, bomb the
cracked wall and enter the hole. In here, you have a full room puzzle to deal
with. You must move to make all the tiles red in a row. Starting from the
yellow tile at the entrance, go: left 1, up 1, right 3, down 1, right 5, up
2, left 2, down 1, left 2, up 1, right 1, up 1, right 2, up 1, right 1, up 2,
left 5, down 1, right 3, down 1, left 5, up 2, left 1, down 4, right 2, up 1,
and right 1. For an easier to understand solution, feel free to view
AstroBlue's map at this URL:

http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbcolor/file/zelda_oracle_of_ages_tile_3.gif

If you follow these directions correctly, the entire floor will be red and a
chest will appear. Open it to get the Switch Hook, an interesting item that
lets you swap places with movable objects, such as enemies and even blocks.
Continue into the west room and test your new item against the block across
the gap. At the other side, go north 1 room and east 1 room. Go up the steps
in the following area and continue north. Use the Switch Hook on the diamond
block across the way to swap places with it. Go south and east into another
room from there. Swap places with the next block to cross the gap, then stand
on the switch and swap with the block to your right. With the block holding
the switch down, enter the room to the south.

In the next area, head east, north, and west to some steps. At the room
below, head north into the next room. Go left so you're standing below the
diamond block. Use the Switch Hook on it, then swap places with the pot.
Switch with the block again, pulling it further to the left as you swap back
and forth. Eventually you should be standing on the switch, as you pull the
block towards you. Go right next to the block and swap once more, then stand
left of the switch and swap once. Finally, stand on the switch and swap one
last time. That way the door opens and you're able to go down into it.
Continue southwest and down some steps to find a platform full of pots to the
left. Swap over to it, then destroy the rest of them. Swap with the pot to
the south, then with the one to the east. Then, continue south.

You'll be faced with a room with camouflaged enemies. Jump over the center
tile to change the color, then clear what enemies you can, and repeat. After
you clear the room, go west. Cross the room full of blade traps and flying
enemies, then you'll end up in a room where you have to make all the tiles
red. Follow the directions on AstroBlue's map (if I wrote this out, it'd be
too much jumbled text) here:

http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/gbcolor/file/zelda_oracle_of_ages_tile_4.gif

After you do this right, open the chest in the middle to get a Small Key.
Continuing into the northern room, jump onto the first moving platform and
use the Switch Hook on the diamond block above. Ride the smaller platform to
the south, jumping over to the dry ledge on the left. Go up the steps to the
sideview room. Go up and jump onto the moving platform, then jump across the
pots and moving platforms to the ladder. In the room above, use your key to
go west. Move the first block back with the Switch Hook, then swap with the
second one to cross the gap. Go west and into the next room, where you should
go south.

In here, pull the south lever as far back as you can to dry the lava for a
moment. Quickly run along the path to the end and continue into the north
room. Repeat the same thing in the next room, using the Power Bracelet to
clear the first pot, then the Switch Hook for the rest. Jump onto the final
ledge and keep going to the next room. There, go up the steps and jump to the
right so you're next to a pot. Break the two pots on the south platform and
use the Switch Hook to reach the one through the barrier. Push the other pot
in that section down 2 spaces, then swap with the top-right pot. Finally,
push the other pot onto the switch. After you do that, swap with the pot to
the south and drop off the west ledge. Go back up the steps and head right,
and swap with the pot by the chest. Open the chest to get the Boss Key.

Now, drop off the ledge to the right, and backtrack your way to the stairs.
Go through the sideview area and return to the lower level. This time, unlock
the boss door to the left and continue inside. Here you'll fight the Eyesoar
as the dungeon's boss; check the Bosses section if you need assistance here.
Upon defeating the boss, take the Heart Container and go into the next room.
Collect the Burning Flame, the fourth Essence of Time. After this, you will
be outside again.

Symmetry Village
----------------

Out here, the Maku Tree will be contacting you once more. It mentions a ridge
to the north of Nayru's house, and how it's related to the essences. You may
want to check that out next, then. So, make your way southeast out of this
village, and continue south and east to Lynna City (you can also use a Gale
Seed to warp there quickly).

Lynna City
----------

When you arrive here, head east and north to where the Maku Tree is. Go east
of there and use the Tune of Echoes to open up the time portal leading to the
past.

====
Past
====

Northeast Lynna
---------------

From where you appear, climb down and jump over the gap, and continue east.
Go north a screen and you'll be in a new region altogether.

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Go west here, using the Switch Hook to cross the gap with the diamond blocks.
Don't enter the cave you come to though; instead warp back to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Now that you're in the present era, enter that cave. Follow the path around
to the first set of stairs. Go up the steps and continue northwest. Take the
next set up stairs you come across. Here, bomb the right wall if you want a
Piece of Heart. Otherwise, go south to exit.

Rolling Ridge
-------------

Out here, make your way all the way east. You will find a rock in the corner;
lift it to reveal a time portal marking. Play the Tune of Echoes and warp
back to the past now.

====
Past
====

Rolling Ridge
-------------

Here, head all the way west and up the steps there. Go north and cut down the
seeds from the tree to get Pegasus Seeds. Now your satchel is complete, so
play the Tune of Currents and return to the present day.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge
-------------

When you emerge here, go south from where the tree would have been, and go
east until you find some large steps. Go up them and enter the Great Moblin's
keep. Use a Pegasus Seed to run around before the floor collapses behind you,
and continue to the steps. Go up another floor to meet the Great Moblin
himself. To beat him, equip the Power Bracelet and toss back his large bombs
when they're about to explode so he can't throw them back down quick enough.
Do this about 7 times to win.

After that fight, the keep will be destroyed and the baddies will run off.
The Gorons will come out and thank you, giving you a Bomb Flower as a token
of their appreciation. The Maku Tree will then mention you being a hero to
the Gorons in the past. So, head south and east to the time portal, and warp.

====
Past
====

Rolling Ridge
-------------

Here once again, go west. When you reach the section with 2 rows of bushes,
drop off the ledge to the area below. Then, go left and enter the cave.
Inside, go left and the Gorons will recognize the Bomb Flower you have right
away. They need it to break the rock crushing their elder, so let them have
it. After the Elder is freed, he will give you the Crown Key he found, but
does not know where the keyhole is. When you're done here, go northeast and
drop off the ledge, then continue through the next few rooms to the exit.

Out here, go east 1 and north 1 screen, going up the stairs. Then, use the
Tune of Currents to return to the present yet again.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge
-------------

When you appear again, go into the cave that was otherwise blocked when the
Great Moblin's lair was still standing. In the cave, use Pegasus Seeds and
Roc's Feather to jump over the gaps and head right. Hop across some more
ledges as you move southeast to the cave exit. Out there, go left and up to a
keyhole; use the Crown Key and the dungeon will open in front of you.

Level 5: Crown Dungeon
----------------------

Start by moving into the second room, where you'll meet 3 Moblins. Defeat
them and continue into the third room ahead. Ignore the crystal switch for
now and go west. Watch out for the laser shooter as you cross this room into
the following one. In here there will be a split; head north and defeat the
enemies to reveal some steps. When you reach the floor below, defeat the
enemies and jump the gap, then stand horizontal to the switch and use the
Switch Hook on the diamond block. Jump back across and stand on the switch,
then swap again to open the south door.

In the next room, you can't open the chest yet, so just go upstairs again. Go
south for 2 rooms and you will reach a crystal switch. Hit it to lower the
blue blocks and raise the red ones in turn. Go into the east room and you
will see 3 statues in a triangular form. Stand between the bottom two and use
the Seed Shooter to shoot a Mystery Seed to ricochet between them, then
quickly shoot another at the third statue. Open the chest that appears to get
a Small Key. Go back a room and hit the switch to lower the red blocks. Stand
north of the red block line and shoot a seed at the switch to make it lower
the blue ones. Now, go north and down the steps, and open the chest down
there to receive another Small Key.

From here, go back upstairs and head east 2 rooms. Shoot the crystal switch
and progress through the northeast path. Head east 2 and south 1 room, then
go up to the upper ledge and continue along that path. When you arrive in the
crystal switch room again, shoot a seed at it to lower the blue blocks. Go
back east 2 and south 2. Defeat the enemies there, then go east and open the
chest inside for the Map. Go back west and unlock the west door, then go down
the steps you find inside.

In the new room, defeat the enemies, then check out the rotating bars to the
north and south. Shoot Ember Seeds when they're tilted in both directions to
light all 4 torches. Go into the room ahead and step on the floor switch to
remember the tile pattern. There are blocks on the other side of the pit;
jump over and push them into the same formation as that tile pattern you have
to memorize. Open the chest that appears when you do it right, and you'll get
the Cane of Somaria. With this, you can create blocks to leave on switches
and such.

Back upstairs, push the 3 statues onto 3 of the floor switches. Use the Cane
of Somaria to put a block on the last one, then open the chest to get a Small
Key. Leave this room and continue north 2, and west 2 rooms. Hit the crystal
switch to lower the red blocks, then go north and east to the room you just
came from. Go down the steps you find to reach the lower floor. Down here, go
left and swipe at the crystal switch so you can get access to the west room.
In there, go down the steps to a sideview area. Jump across the moving
platforms to reach the new room. This next room is totally dark, but has
Moblins wandering around. You need to reach the chest without a visible path,
so facing the right side of the platform you're on, use the Cane of Somaria
to push a block along until it falls, then change direction and create
another block. Do this until you reach the chest. Open it to get a Small Key.
Then, step to the left of where you opened the chest and use the Switch Hook
on the block above to reach the steps.

After this, head back across the moving platforms to the next room. In the
room above, go east to the crystal switch room. Hit the switch 2 times to
reach the right side of the blocks, keeping the red ones lowered. Go upstairs
and hit the switch in the room to the left. Then, go east 2 and south 1 room
to another set of stairs surrounded by lowered blue blocks. In this room,
throw away the pots to reach the next set of stairs going downward. Drop all
the way down and create a block in the right corner, then jump from it to
reach the upper ledge. Do the same in the second half of this room, and climb
the ladder at the end.

In the room where you emerge, go left and shoot a seed at the crystal switch
in the middle area. Go right past the lowered red blocks, and shoot the
switch again to lower the blue blocks. Go into the north room from here. Here
you will find 2 statues that are apart, but move when you only push one. Move
one onto the left floor panel, then create a block to the right of it. Push
the other block right, then create a block above/below the first one, and
push the second block in the appropriate direction onto the second tile. This
will make a chest with another Small Key appear. Leave this room and shoot
the switch once to reach the steps, then another time to lower the blue
blocks.

Backtrack through the basement area to the next room, and destroy the pots to
reach the other stairs leading to the top floor. When you're upstairs again,
head north and east a room. Use a Pegasus Seed and Roc's Feather to jump the
gaps leading to the following room. Unlock the door and continue into a mini-
boss fight. Use the Power Bracelet to throw the orb at the enemy when it
throws the orb away. Once you kill it, go into the north room. Create a block
to hold down the floor switch, then cross the bridge and swap with one of the
diamond blocks to reach the chest containing the Compass. Then, go down the
stairs to the sideview area. Jump across moving platforms in both areas and
climb down the ladder at the end.

Here, defeat the enemies and go up the steps to the north. In the room above,
go left on the blue section of the floor, and shoot the crystal switch to
raise the blue blocks. Go west and south, then open the key block and
continue north. Go north and west, and unlock another key block to reach a
crystal switch. Hit it, then go up the steps nearby and head east. Drop onto
the red blocks below and go north into that room. Go down the steps in the
back corner to reach the floor below. Hit the crystal switch once, then stand
on the red row and shoot it again. Now, go up the steps and unlock the door
leading to the next room.

In the next room, simply go down the steps to the sideview area below (if you
want that chest with 50 rupees inside, shoot the crystal switch from atop the
steps in the previous room). Create a block to reach the center platform and
continue to the right ladder. In the next room, you'll have to push all the
colored statues onto the tiles surrounding the owl statue. Keep in mind that
all statues of the same color move when you push one, so use the Cane of
Somaria to help out here. For an easy solution, do this: Push the yellow
blocks 3 spaces to the left. Push the blue blocks down 1, then the red right
2. Push the other red block up 3, then push the blue up 1, right 2, and down
2. Move the blue right 1, down 1, right 2, and up 1. Create a block to the
left of the bottom blue one, then push the top blue block left 2. Make
another block below the bottom-right blue and push down 1, then make a block
above the top blue block and push the other 2 up 1. Finally, make a block to
the left of the left red block, and push the other one into place.

If you follow my directions above, you should be able to solve this puzzle
and a chest will appear. Open it to get the Boss Key. Head back through the
sideview area to the following room, and head up the steps to reach the east
room. Drop off the north ledge since the red blocks would block your path,
and go up the stairs. Go south a room and up the steps to the left, and hit
the crystal switch in the next room to lower the red blocks. Go east and
south a room, and up the steps to the right. Continue along that upper ledge
into the southern room. Drop off the ledge there and go east 1, and south 2
rooms. Head east a room and unlock the boss door.

In here, you will fight the Smog boss. Read the Bosses section for help
defeating it. Collect the Heart Container once the fight is over, and go into
the final room to collect the Sacred Soil essence.

Rolling Ridge
-------------

Once you're outside, the Maku Tree will once again contact you. It will
mention that there is another essence at Rolling Ridge, and that you should
check it out. Following this, a Goron will appear and says that it dug a
tunnel nearby, and for you to check out their games in Rolling Ridge. So,
head east a screen. Enter the eastern cave and follow the path through a
couple rooms to the other end. Outside again, go northeast to another cave,
and go inside. Go down the steps you find in the first room, then step on the
floor switch to make a bridge appear. From there, follow the path west and
south to exit the cave.

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Down at the base, make your way south and east along the path. Continue to
the north and you'll find 2 cave entrances. Go west a screen and cut down the
bush to reveal a time portal marking, then go back east and enter the right
cave. Go in the back room and talk to the blue Goron who runs this dance
hall. In order to reach the summit via the steps in the previous room, you
must pass 6 of 8 rounds in dancing. Follow his directions and dance to the
rhythm by pressing A and B when appropriate. When you pass, you'll receive
the Brother Emblem. Go back down a room and talk to the Goron in front of the
steps, and he will now let you pass.

For now, exit the cave and go to the time portal to the west. Use it to
return to this point in the past.

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Out here again, go east a screen and enter the cave. Inside, talk to the
Goron sitting in front of the steps, and he will move. Go upstairs and use
Pegasus Seeds to jump the gap after clearing the bushes. Make your way
through the next couple rooms to exit the cave. Once outside, go south a
screen. Defeat the enemies, then use the Switch Hook to move the plant bulb
to the bottom of the indentation in the cliff. Once it's there, use the Tune
of Currents to return to the present era.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

This time, climb the newly grown vine and go east a screen. Enter the cave
with a signpost next to it; this is the Crazy Carts game. Pay 10 rupees to
ride a mine cart through a course, shooting at gems. Get at least 9 to win 20
rupees; get all 12 to win the featured prize. You must get a perfect on this
game to win the Rock Brisket (it's the featured prize for now; you can return
to win other stuff later, such as the Boomerang). Now that you have your
prize, exit and go down the vine, then northwest into a cave. Use the Switch
Hook to cross the gaps in the room below. Talk to the Goron sitting by the
steps here, and give him the Rock Brisket. He will reward you with a Goron
Vase.

Now, go back up the stairs and step into the warp to return to the past.

====
Past
====

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Out here again, go into the northwest cave like you did before. Talk to the
Goron sitting by the stairs in this time era and he'll trade the Goron Vase
for some Goronade. With it, go back through that cave one more time, and play
the Tune of Currents at the top to change time.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

When you arrive, go back into the cave you just came from. This time, go
upstairs to the Big Bang game room. Talk to the tired Goron inside and give
him the Goronade. He will now play the Big Bang game since he is reenergized!
Basically, you have to avoid an increasing barrage of bombs in a room full of
conveyors. Survive this by moving quickly (Pegasus Seeds and Roc's Feather
help immensely), and you'll win the Old Mermaid Key.

Go back outside and climb up the vine to the upper ledge. Pick up one of the
rocks to reveal a time portal marking; return to the past with it.

====
Past
====

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

At this point in the past, go into the nearby cave and you'll be in a
shooting gallery. It's the same game as in Lynna Village, if you played that
one. Follow the directions and score well to win the Lava Juice (you should
aim for 250 points or better). After you win the juice, exit and go west a
screen. Drop off the ledge and enter the cave to the northwest.

Talk to the Goron just inside there and give him the Lava Juice; he will give
you a Letter of Introduction for the Graceful Goron downstairs. Head through
this cave to the lower level and then go north to the red Graceful Goron.
Talk to him and you will have to play the dancing game a second time to win
his key. Complete 6 of the 8 routines and you will earn the Mermaid Key! Now
that you have both keys, head out of here via the south exit.

Outside, head west a screen. You'll see a waterfall; swim into it to reach a
hidden cave. Use the Mermaid Key here to enter the Mermaid's Cave.

Level 6: Mermaid's Cave
-----------------------

In the past version of this dungeon (note that you will be going between past
and present to complete this area), start by bombing the east wall and going
into that room. Defeat the 3 Wizzrobes here and open the chest that appears
to get a Gasha Seed. In the next room, you'll find some white enemies
wandering around. Shoot an Ember Seed at them, then avoid the blast. Kill
them all to open the north room. There, go east a room to find 4 unlit
lanterns. Shoot them in order, hitting the left, top-center, bottom-center,
then the right lantern. Do this right and the right wall will open up,
revealing a patch of dark water. You can't swim in this yet, so go west 2
screens and open the chest to get a Map.

Now, go east and south a screen, and backtrack to the dungeon's entrance.
Clear the enemies in here and continue to the western room. Here you will
face some of those camouflaged enemies; jump over the center tile to change
the room's colors so you can kill them all. Open the chest that appears to
get a Compass. Exit this room and go into the north one. Drop down to the
lower ledge and continue into the northern room from here. Clear the candle
enemies inside to reach the east room. There, jump over the gap and defeat
the enemies to make a chest appear; inside is a Small Key.

Back in the previous room, go south and west to another new area via the
locked door. Kill the Wizzrobe inside, then use the Cane of Somaria to press
down one of the floor switches. As for the left switch, clear the pots except
for the center one, and push that onto the second switch. Then, jump over the
gaps to reach the north room. Defeat the enemies in here, then bomb through
the cracked blocks to make a path across the way. Also, bomb the north wall
to open up a new room. You're done here for now, so head outside.

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Back outside, exit the cave and go east a screen. Use the Tune of Currents to
return to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

Back here, go west a screen and enter the cave that's no longer covered by a
waterfall. Use the Old Mermaid Key to get in, and enter the present era
version of this dungeon.

Level 6: Mermaid's Cave
-----------------------

In this dungeon again, you'll notice real quick there are more enemies around
in here. Anyway, go north 2 screens and enter the western room. Use the
Switch Hook to cross the gap leading to a chest with the Map inside. Exit
this room and go down the steps, then go north. Shoot the crystal switch to
change the floor layout, then get to the northeast corner of the room. Shoot
at the switch again, then enter the east chamber. This next room is rather
interesting, since you can't reach the enemies, so you'll have to lure them
your way. Drop a Scent Seed and all the Ropes will inadvertently fall into
the pit, dying. Grab the Small Key from the chest and exit this room.

Stand in the northeast corner and shoot the crystal switch again, then make
your way to the west room by shooting again from the southwest corner. This
will be the room with the cracked blocks in the past; the hole in the north
wall is still here. Anyway, defeat the enemies and bomb the south wall, and
go in. Use the Switch Hook to cross the gap leading to the following area.
Bomb the south wall and continue onward.

You will find a cube in this room, and 3 colored tiles. You must push the
cube onto each tile with the proper color facing up. Push it down 1 and left
2 to cover red. Then, push the cube right 2, up 1, left 1, down 1, right 1,
up 1, right 1, down 1, and right 1. This will activate the yellow tile. From
here, push the cube left 3, up 2, right 1, down 1, right 1, up 1, left 1, and
up 1 onto the blue tile. Collect the Small Key that appears in the chest,
then exit this room. Go north 2 rooms, and into the hole you made in the
north wall across the pit earlier.

In that room this time, go through both revolvers to reach the north room.
Follow the upper path all the way around, then drop down and go east through
the second revolver again. Repeat this one more time, then from the revolver,
follow the path west and north through a couple rooms. Open the chest at the
end to get a Small Key. From here, drop off the right ledge and go south and
east to the revolver. Go through it to the north, then drop off the north
ledge and go south into the first revolver. Go through both revolvers again,
and repeat the same path you just did through the first revolver. This time
you'll end up in the east, so go up the steps and follow the northbound path.

Follow this path all the way north and east to a locked door. Open it and
you'll be faced with a mini-boss fight. You have to fight the demon bat Vire;
attack when he swoops into the center area. After you beat him, jump and kill
the 2 smaller bats he splits into. Following the fight, take the fairy and go
east a room. In here, defeat the Wizzrobes, then throw a bomb over the pit so
it explodes in midair, clearing the cracked block. Then, use the Switch Hook
to swap over to the middle ledge, and open the chest to receive the Mermaid
Suit. This will now allow you to swim in the very deep/fast-moving waters!

Exit this room and step into the warp in the previous room, to reach the
dungeon entrance quickly. Bomb the east wall and enter that new room. Defeat
the enemies inside to open the east door. In there, avoid the giant blade
traps and unlock the north door. In the next area, use the Switch Hook to
cross the gap, then go east to a chest containing the Compass. Drop off the
ledge and go down the steps to a basement area. Jump across some blocks, then
ride a moving platform to the ladder at the far end.

Climb up into the next room and you'll have to face a couple of Wizzrobes.
Beat them, then unlock the key block and head west. Follow the path going
north into another room. There are 2 wall levers to be pulled in this room.
One of them will drop Ropes into the room, and the other will make a chest
appear. You just have to take a lucky guess and pull one. After a while,
you'll get the chest to appear (hopefully). Open it to get the Boss Key. Now
that you have it, backtrack to the dungeon entrance. Exit and use the time
portal outside to return to the past, then reenter this dungeon.

====
Past
====

Level 6: Mermaid's Cave
-----------------------

In here again, head east 2, north 1, and east 1 screen. You'll be back in the
room with the 4 torches you lit earlier. There is a dark pool of water here;
you can now swim in it, so dive in to reach the underwater basement. Head
west to the next room here (remember that you have to tap in the directions
you want to move, in order to actually get somewhere). You can use most of
your items underwater too, but not your sword. The Switch Hook will be put to
good use, then. Defeat the jellyfish enemy and go southeast to some stairs.
Swim through the sideview area and up into the next room.

In this room, you'll be faced with fast-moving water. Swim against it as you
make your way into the west room. Go through the northwest door to reach a
regular room. Defeat the Ropes while avoiding the fireballs coming from the
statues, to make a chest appear. Open it to get a Small Key. Now, backtrack
quite a bit, to the dungeon's entrance once more. When you reach the section
where you initially dove into the deep water (you'll notice where because the
tiles are different), press B to reach the surface).

From the entrance, go north 2, west 1, and north 1 room (you have to trigger
both switches again). You should end up in the area with the cracked blocks.
Bomb through the blocks and go through the north hole to the next room. Head
through the revolver to reach the west path, then go around to end up on the
east side. Follow the path to a locked door; ignore it for now, and dive into
the deep water. In the basement, go north and east a room. Defeat the Ropes
in the fast-moving water as you continue northward.

Clear the Ropes in this next room, then quickly swim across to avoid the
arrows. In the last room, there are several diamond blocks and 6 tiles to the
north. Use the Switch Hook to move them onto the 6 tiles, and a chest will
appear. Open it to get a Small Key. Head back through the last several rooms
and swim back to the surface in the last room. This time, unlock the west
door and go into that room. Unlock the key block in here with your last key,
and defeat the Keese flying around. Step on the floor switch ONCE, then
create a block with the Cane of Somaria. Shoot a seed through the tilted bars
to hit the crystal switch (bounce it off the left blocks), thus forming a
bridge. Cross it and enter the boss door.

In here, you will face an underwater boss called Octogon. Read the Bosses
section for help defeating this creature both above and below water. After
the fight, collect the Heart Container and resurface. Swim into the east room
and collect the sixth Essence of Time, the Bereft Peak. You will now be taken
back outside.

Rolling Ridge Base
------------------

The Maku Tree will give you some news: Queen Ambi has left her palace so you
have an opening to go and rescue Nayru! The palace is located north of Lynna
Village, so make your way there (use a Gale Seed for quick travel).

Lynna Village
-------------

When you arrive here, go northwest to where the palace entrance is. You will
find Ralph here, who apparently won't let you rescue Nayru, so he rushes
ahead. He does make mention of a hidden passage in the garden, though. So,
follow him up there.

Ambi's Palace
-------------

In this area, go north to a section with trees. If you go left, you'll find a
Scent Seed tree. To the east you will see 4 statues lined up, blocking a path
apparently. In each of the four corners of this garden, there are switches
you must step on, but each of them are patrolled by castle guards. Walk past
when they look away and step on each switch. After you do this, walk along
the now unblocked path and cut the bushes to reach the hidden passage.

Down here, dive into the water to reach an underwater segment. Swim through
the 3 rooms here, avoiding the whirlpools. Hit B at the end to surface, then
go upstairs to emerge in the palace itself. Inside, there are more guards to
watch out for, so don't put your guard down just yet. If you go into either
the east or west rooms, there will be guards to avoid. If you go east and
north, you can get a ring from a chest. If you go west, there is a fairy room
to the north, and steps you need to go up.

Upstairs, get through 2 more guard-patrolled rooms. At the safe room, cut
down the bushes to get seeds and hearts, then go north. You will meet Veran
trapped in Nayru's body here, and battle will commence. Read the Bosses
section for help defeating Veran here. Following the fight, Nayru will be
freed and Queen Ambi will walk in. Unfortunately, the queen becomes possessed
by Veran and some guards are sent in to surround you. Ralph runs in, then in
the nick of time, Nayru warps you all to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Lynna City
----------

You will be returned to the Maku Tree upon your arrival. After some
conversation, an odd person shows up and mentions how the past is full of
sorrow because of Veran. Ralph will run off and Nayru will teach you the
final harp tune, the Tune of Ages. This will allow you to warp between past
and present at your own will. After she leaves, the Maku Tree will mention
the seventh essence being inside of a fish. Anyway, go south into the city
and continue southward to the southern shore.

South Shore
-----------

Down here, continue south to the shore line and swim into the water. Head
south and west to enter the Sea of Storms.

Sea of Storms
-------------

Out here on the open seas, swim your way southward and to the west when you
can. You'll eventually reach a house on an island. Go inside and talk to the
lady if you want, then stand directly in front of the door and play the Tune
of Ages to return to the past.

====
Past
====

Zora Seas
---------

From here this time, go into the water and swim westward. Go north to an
island, and play the Tune of Ages again.

=======
Present
=======

Zora Seas
---------

Back in the present day, dive under the water and continue northward. When
you reach a bunch of blobs in your path, use the Switch Hook to swap with the
diamond block and cross it. Head back up to the surface and play the harp yet
again.

====
Past
====

Zora Seas
---------

Once again, keep going west a bit. When you have to go south, do so and climb
onto the next island, then warp back to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Zora Seas
---------

Back again, dive and swim south a screen. Use the Switch Hook to cross the
gap, then go west into the Zora Village.

Zora Village
------------

In this underwater village, make your way northward. You'll reach a split in
the path up ahead; north is the palace and west is Jabu-Jabu's Shrine. You'll
visit the big fish later, so go north into the palace. Inside, open the chest
to get 200 rupees. Talk to the Zora on the right side to learn that there is
no king in the present, since long ago he fell ill. Exit the palace and swim
south, then reach the surface again. Swim to the tree with Gale Seeds hanging
from it. Now, use a Gale Seed to warp to Lynna City, then go east into the
graveyard.

Yoll Graveyard
--------------

In this area once again, head to the northeast corner. Swim to Syrup's Potion
Shop and buy a Magic Potion for 300 rupees (if you don't have it already, get
rupees and return). After you get it, use a Gale Seed to return to the sea.

Zora Village
------------

As soon as you return here, play the Tune of Ages to return to the past.

====
Past
====

Zora Village
------------

Back here, dive under the water and swim northward to the palace again. Talk
to King Zora and give him the Magic Potion to cure his illness. He will thank
you and do not much else for now. So, exit the palace and return to the
surface. Step into the warp that should still be there, and go to the
present.

=======
Present
=======

Zora Village
------------

Dive into the water again and swim north to the palace. Talk to King Zora,
who is now alive in the present day, and he will give you the Library Key.
You also accept the quest to save Jabu-Jabu here, by researching the filthy
sea water at the library. Exit the palace and swim to the east. When you
can't swim anymore, reach the surface and play the Tune of Ages to return to
the past.

====
Past
====

Zora Seas
---------

Here again, go east to the library. Use the key in the keyhole to open it,
and go inside. Talk to the man in the back of the library and he will mention
Fairy Powder being in the back room, but the Book of Seals is needed to reach
it. You can't do anything else in here yet, so exit and go west. Switch Hook
onto the island and talk to the Octorok inside. You'll learn that this
creature is the Fairy Queen in a transformed state, and needs Fairy Powder to
be cured. So, exit and return to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Zora Seas
---------

Back in the present, revisit the library. Go into the back room and talk to
the old man there to receive the Book of Seals. You have all you need here,
so go back outside and warp to the past.

====
Past
====

Zora Seas
---------

Return to the library in this time era. Go into the back room and place the
Book of Seals on the podium. It will read out some instructions for you to
follow from that spot, so follow them exactly. Use the Cane of Somaria to
help guide your path around the dark room. When you reach the old man in the
center, talk to him to get Fairy Powder. With it, exit and return to the west
island. Talk to the Octorok and use the powder to revert it back to the Queen
Fairy form. She will clear the entire sea of those blobs, making it totally
safe to swim around again! If you leave and reenter she will refill your
health, too.

Now that the area's safe, return to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Zora Seas
---------

Dive into the water and swim westward, then go below the surface to the
village.

Zora Village
------------

In this area again, swim into the palace. Talk to King Zora since you cleaned
up the sea, and he will give you permission to enter Jabu-Jabu. Exit the
palace and swim south 1, and west 1 screen. From there, go north to reach
Jabu-Jabu. Since you have permission, the giant fish will open its mouth, so
swim inside.

Level 7: Jabu-Jabu's Belly
--------------------------

Start off here by going into the west room. In here, use the Switch Hook to
move the blocks around, placing one in front of each of the statues (you can
swim over pits, so you know). Grab the Small Key and continue north. You will
see a yellow patch of tiles here; you can press B there to reach the surface,
so do that. Upstairs, go into the west room and open the far chest to get a
Map. Defeat the crabs if you want, otherwise continue to the north for 3
rooms. In the top room, kill the 2 enemies in the water pits, then push the
blocks and go east a room. Avoid the traps and unlock the key block, and head
upstairs.

Up here, follow the path going south, west, and north to a room with a switch
in it. This is the room where you control the water level on the first floor.
The red button drains while the blue one fills. Hit the red one right now,
then backtrack to the stairs. Go back down a floor, then south a room. Drop
into the pit there to reach the bottom level, which is now drained. Switch
Hook your way to a chest containing a ring, then go into the next room. Here,
push the center block to the side and open the chest to get a Small Key. Go
south 1 and east 1 room, and defeat the enemies to make a chest containing
the Compass appear. Take it and go north.

In the next room, use the Cane of Somaria to put a block on the switch, in
order to open the east door. Swim around to the steps, then go onto dry land
and head to the second floor via the stairs. There, go north 2 rooms and west
1 by using the Switch Hook. Use this item again to cross the spikes around
the room, and go upstairs again. On the third floor now, go north a room and
unlock the west door. In the switch room, step on the middle switch to raise
the water again somewhat. Next, backtrack to the second floor, and go east 1
and south 2 rooms. When you reach the room with the stairs going down, ignore
them and swim eastward. In the next room, defeat the enemies and open the
chest to get another Small Key.

From this room, exit and go north 1, then west 1 room. Dive into the water
pool there to reach the first floor. Down there, open the chest to get a
Gasha Seed. Then, go down the stairs leading to a sideview area. Swim/jump
your way to the second room, where you'll face a blowfish mini-boss. Shoot
Scent Seeds at it to deflate, then attack with your sword until it's dead.
After the fight, climb the ladder into the room above. Unlock the key block
ahead and open the chest to receive the Long Hook, which is a longer upgrade
of your Switch Hook.

Use the Long Hook on the diamond block to the south, then go down to the
lower area and head west to another room. In here, use the Long Hook to move
the block and continue west. Go north from the next room, and head down the
stairs you find. In the basement area, swim your way to dry land, and use the
Long Hook on the pot to cross the gap. Continue onward and swim up to the
next room above. Use the Long Hook to kill the enemies in here, then grab the
Small key and go south.

In this room, dive at the yellow tiles to reach the second floor. From there,
go north 2 and east 1 to reach stairs to the third floor. Follow the path up
there to the water switch room, and drain the water once more. Now, backtrack
all the way to the first floor again. When you're back in the room with the
yellow tiles, go east. Push the block away to exit and continue into the
south room. Here you will have 2 switches to press; use the Cane of Somaria
on one, then go to the lower-left and Long Hook to the block. Repeat this
with the pot, then maneuver the diamond block to the other switch to make a
chest appear. Open it to get a Small Key.

Now, go east 1, north 1, and east 1 room, then go upstairs. There, go north 2
and west 1 to reach more stairs to the third floor. Once there, go north a
room and use the Long Hook to cross the pit this time. In the new room,
unlock the key block and go west, then south to the switch room. Hit the top
switch this time, then backtrack across that pit. Enter the switch room via
that west door, and hit the middle switch. This will flood the second floor
as well. From here, go east and south 2 rooms. Climb the steps and Long Hook
to the block on the left, then repeat to go south. Open the chest on the
ledge to get a Small Key.

After that, go north a room and down the stairs to the second floor. You
still get hurt by swimming over spikes, so Long Hook to the right and enter
the east room. Then, go south 2 rooms and downstairs to the first floor. In
the room where you end up, go down the steps nearby and make your way west 2
and south 1 room. At the room with the yellow tile square, press B to swim
upstairs. From there, go west 1 and north 1 room each. In there, swim to the
west room you couldn't reach until now. Use the Long Hook to remove the
diamond block, then open the chest to get another Small Key. Now, it's time
to do some major backtracking to the third floor, the same way you came down
here.

Once you arrive at the third floor, go north 2 rooms. Then, go all the way
west and unlock the first door. Open the chest you find to get a Gasha Seed,
then unlock the second door. Kill the Moldorm if you want, otherwise unlock
and enter the third room. Open the chest in that last room to get the Boss
Key. Use the Long Hook to get over the west barrier, and exit this room. Head
south 2 rooms and down those steps to the second floor once again. Go east 1,
south 1, and west 1 room. Dive into the pit to reach the first floor.

Here, swim left to the blue tiles, and press B to surface on the second floor
yet again. Go up the steps and swim along the upper ledge to the next room.
Follow that upper ledge all the way around to the boss door, then unlock and
enter. Inside, you'll face Plasmarine, a giant electrical jellyfish; read the
Bosses section for help dealing with this one. After the fight, take the
Heart Container and go into the west room. Collect the Rolling Sea, the next
Essence of Time, and you will leave this giant fish's belly.

Zora Village
------------

When you exit the dungeon, you will receive an ominous warning that the Black
Tower has been completed in the past. You will then see a scene with Veran in
Queen Ambi's body. Following this, the Maku Tree will speak to you, but has
no information on the last essence's whereabouts. When you get control again,
go south and a Zora will come up to you. He will give you the Zora Scale as
thanks for all your deeds in the sea. Now, make your way southeast to exit
the village.

Zora Seas
---------

Out here, you may want to hit B to reach the surface. Stop on a piece of dry
land and change the time era.

====
Past
====

Zora Seas
---------

Now that you're in the past, continue eastward through the seas. When you
reach the whirlpools, follow them to the far south and dive to find a Zora
blocking the way. Talk to him and he will let you pass since you have the
Zora Scale. Go in and surface, and continue east along the land. When you
reach the water again, go north and dive in. There's a cave under the water
with a ring in a chest, if you want it. Otherwise, stay on the surface and
swim to the pirate ship patrolling the region. Inside, talk to the Cap'n and
give him the Zora Scale in exchange for the Tokay Eyeball. He mentions going
to Crescent Island, since that's where the eyeball used for opening an
ancient tomb was found.

After the ship leaves, you'll be back on land. Go west and dive to get past
the barrier, then surface again. Swim north and east along the whirlpool
walls. When the whirlpools turn to the south, continue east and go north 3
screens. Go east until you see land, and you'll be at Crescent Island.

Crescent Island
---------------

Over in this area again, make your way south and you'll find a giant statue
head. It's missing an eyeball, which you have, so use the Tokay Eyeball to
complete the statue. A cave will now open up, so enter. You will have to
prove yourself in a series of rooms in order to open the way to where you
need to be. Defeat the enemies in the first couple rooms, avoiding the traps
and bombing blocks on the way. In the last room, use the Cane of Somaria to
find your way to the stairs. Go down them and swim through the passage to
exit this cave.

Sea of No Return
----------------

When you emerge from the cave, swim south a screen and then surface. Swim up
onto the land and you'll find 3 Armos statues. Push the middle one left so
they form a row, and the path ahead will open. In this enclosed area, simply
follow the path all around the maze, defeating the enemies along the way. The
demon enemies you see shoot swords through the walls, so watch out! At the
end is an opening; go inside to reach the next dungeon.

Level 8: Ancient Tomb
---------------------

In here, cut down the pots to get fairies if you need the health, then go
north. Light the lanterns and defeat the ghosts, then push the northwest
statue aside and bomb the wall. Go into the west room, and bomb your way to a
chest containing a Small Key. Unlock the south door when you reach it and
enter that room. In here, use the Cane of Somaria to make a block on the
first switch. Use the Long Hook to pull the block to the second switch. On
the right side of the room, bounce a Ember Seed off the wall to light the
torch, then stand on the final switch. Some stairs will open up in the center
area, so go down them.

Go north and west a room, and defeat the ghosts in the room you end up at.
Then, push the middle block to make stairs appear. Go down to the second
basement level and open the chest nearby to receive the Map. Head back
upstairs and north a room. Open the chest in the corner to get a Small Key.
From here, go south 1, east 1 through the revolver, and south again. Unlock
the block to the right and continue east 1, south 1, and west 1 room. When
you reach the room with the raised blue blocks, go down the steps to the
north and follow the path into a western room. There, defeat the enemies and
bomb the south wall. In that room, use a Pegasus Seed to get past the traps,
and open the chest in the northeast corner for another Small Key.

Next, exit this room and go east a room, then south. Continue east for
another room, and follow the upper ledge as it goes north and west. Hit the
crystal switch to lower the blue blocks, then go back a couple rooms and open
the now accessible chest to receive the Compass. Now, go east and down the
steps, then head north and west through the next couple revolver rooms. When
you reach the red blocks in your way, head north and east to a Stalfos room.
Defeat them and grab the Small Key that one of them drops.

In the south room, step on the floor switch to make steps appear on the left
side. Step into the revolver from the north to go west, then go around again
by using those steps to reach the east side. Go east and south to the second
revolver. Step into it, then follow the path to the first one and use it to
go back east. Walk east and south to the second revolver once more, and take
it into an eastern room. Inside, clear the Ropes and unlock the south door,
then go into that room.

You have another tile puzzle to deal with in here. Starting with the yellow
tile, follow these instructions: right 1, down 3, right 2, up 2, left 1, up
1, right 3, down 2, left 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, left 3, down 1, right 2,
down 1, right 1, down 1, left 3, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, up
3, left 1, up 2, left 1, down 3, right 1, down 1, left 1, down 2, right 2,
down 1, left 5, up 1, right 2, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, up 1, right 1, up
1, right 1, up 1, left 2, and up 1. Do this right and a chest will appear;
open it to get the Power Gloves, which allow you to lift very heavy objects,
such as the giant blue coffins you've seen around.

Now, exit this room and head northwest to the revolver. Go north from it and
unlock the northern door in the next room. Defeat the ghosts if you like,
then go east again. Head into the south room from there and beat a couple
swordsmen, then hit the crystal switch. Stand on the red block line and hit
the switch again, then walk north atop the red blocks. Follow the path of red
blocks through the next room, jumping over to the next set of them. At the
far north, drop off the left side and take the narrow path through the next
few rooms. In the end room, go downstairs to the next area.

Downstairs, go east a couple rooms and you'll meet a Stalfos wizard as a
mini-boss. Just like Agahnim he'll make round energy balls (hit those with
your sword to bounce them back and attack), or weaker balls that break when
you hit them. Knock back the big balls to turn the skeleton into a bat; use
your sword at this point to cause damage. After you win, go south and west 2
rooms, defeating the enemies you meet along the way. Use the Long Hook on the
diamond block to cross the barrier, and continue north and west another set
of rooms. Switch with a pot in the lower area, and go to the next room ahead.
Get through the room of spinning blade traps to a chest with a Small Key
inside, then go east. Open the chest inside to get a Slate.

Go up the steps and continue south, dropping off the ledge and disposing of a
couple mummies. Go east 2, south 1, west 1, south 1, west 1, then finally
south again. In the room with the lava, unlock the key block and continue
west. Go through this room to another lava-filled one. Pull the wall lever
back as far as you can, after you kill the Keese of course. Use a Pegasus
Seed to run southeast into the following room, where you can get another
Slate from the chest. Head up the steps to the north and follow that upper
ledge as it goes east. Drop off the ledge and lift up the blue statues with
the Power Gloves, and head down the steps you find.

In the bottom floor, push the bottom block left and the other block north,
and use the Long Hook to cross the gap. Open the chest to get the Boss Key,
then Long Hook back across and go east. Follow the path east and north to
another set of stairs going up. Push the cube down 3 and left 1 into the hole
so the track is open, then jump over the pit and ride the cart. In the room
where you end up, watch out for the flying tiles. Open the chest to get a
Gasha Seed, then go south when the tiles are all gone.

In here, make your way through the maze of traps to a floor switch. Step on
it to open up the right wall, and head into that room. Defeat the ball and
chain enemy on the ice, then enter the north room when it opens. Open the
chest ahead to get the third Slate. Ride the mine cart out of here, then at
the end of the second track, go north. In this icy room, shoot Ember Seeds
and jump around to avoid the candle/bomb enemies. In the next room, defeat
some enemies and go down the stairs to an underwater segment. Swim through
the passage to reach the new area.

When you emerge in a flooded room, use the Long Hook to clear the jellyfish
enemies and open the door. Continue north for 2 rooms, then follow the path
right into the rapid water. Avoid getting sucked into the pits as you go
south and east through the rooms. In the far east room, go down the steps to
the underground passage. In the sideview area, dive all the way down and go
east, then up the other side. In the room you surface at, open the chest to
get the final Slate. Now, go back down the steps and this time, swim all the
way to the far west. Go up at that point and step on the switch next to where
you surface.

After the steps form, go down them and defeat the Wizzrobes, then go west and
south a room. In the large room with the tablet in the middle, you will see 4
empty slots on the sides. Put a Slate in each slot and the tablet will open
up, revealing stairs. Go down into the sideview area and head right, and down
the ladder at the far end. In the next room, go east and bomb the cracked
block in the way. Then, shoot an Ember Seed to light the torch, causing a
platform to cover the hole in front of you. Toss aside the blue statue and
enter the boss room from here. Inside you will face Ramrock; read the Bosses
section for help defeating it. After the fight, take the Heart Container and
go into the next room. There, take the final Essence of Time, the Falling
Star.

Sea of No Return
----------------

When you make it back outside, the Maku Tree will contact you and ask to come
visit when you grow up (the present era). So, use a Gale Seed and warp back
to Lynna Village.

Lynna Village
-------------

Here, go north a couple screens to the time portal markings outside Maku
Road. At this point, use the Tune of Echoes to return to the present.

=======
Present
=======

Lynna City
----------

Back in the present day, go north to visit the Maku Tree. She will give you
the Huge Maku Seed since you've collected/understand all of the Essences of
Time. Following this, you will witness a scene with an old woman and the
witches Twinrova. After they go, the Maku Tree will beg you to stop Queen
Ambi at the Black Tower. Before you go back to the past, you should probably
collect anything you may have missed along the way (the Secrets section lists
item upgrades). Also, collect all the Pieces of Heart you can, and buy a
Magic Potion from Syrup's Shop in Yoll Graveyard. When you're ready, go south
a screen and warp back to the past one last time.

====
Past
====

Lynna Village
-------------

Back here again, head to the southwest across the stream. Go south and you'll
be on the path to the tower. You will meet up with Ralph once more, who is
still rather obnoxious. He will run off, and as you go to follow, Nayru and
Impa will call you. They will explain the truth about Ralph, and how you must
save him and defeat Veran. When they leave, continue along the path to the
Black Tower.

Black Tower
-----------

Inside, follow the path to the east room. Continue all around the tower,
killing the rather simple enemies you meet. At the end of the path, go up the
stairs. Head upward through the next couple floors, killing the progressively
tougher enemies along the way. At the end, you'll come to 3 doorways, and the
Maku Seed will come into play. The Essences of Time will make the 3 doors
into one, so head inside.

In this stairway-filled room, go up the center staircase. Go west to the
steps going down, then up the ones adjacent to where you appear next. Back
upstairs, follow the path to the stairs to the east. Take the steps directly
to the right. Go up and down the next couple sets of steps, until you reach
another path split. Take the bottom steps, then the center steps. Finally, go
up the stairs leading to a new floor. When you go upstairs, do not move just
yet. 4 fireballs will appear; keep an eye on the one that appears BEHIND
Link! When it finally stops on a staircase, go up them and you will be in a
center area. Watch for the enemy attacks on the sides, breaking the pots to
get fairies to recover health. Then, go upstairs once more.

Go south and drop down to the ground, then go around the perimeter of the
room, fighting the tougher enemies you meet. At the north end, go into the
door leading to another area. Here, you will find Ralph confronting Queen
Ambi, who is still possessed by Veran. He will try to attack her, but is
knocked aside. Veran will taunt you and then retreats to the back room. Check
on Ralph before going on to the final room. In the last room, you will face
up against Veran in Queen Ambi's body. Read the Bosses section for help
winning this round again.

After you seemingly defeat Veran, Nayru and Ralph will start to leave the
tower with you. When you reach the exit, the tower begins to crumble and a
red hand will grab you, bringing you to a dark area. Veran will speak again
and you will then enter battle against her final form. Visit the Bosses
section one more time for help beating this last boss. Following the fight,
you will escape the tower and some scenes will commence. From here, just sit
back and watch the ending, and congratulations on completing this game!

Pumpkin Head
    Found: Spirit's Grave
Strategy: This boss is comprised of a weak lower body, and a giant
invulnerable head. Attack the body about 4 times and it will
collapse, leaving the head on the floor. Pick up the head to
reveal a small flame creature inside of it. Throw the head at
it to cause damage, then when it goes back into the head,
repeat the same attack pattern as before. It should only take a
few rounds of this to defeat the boss.

Head Thwomp
    Found: Wing Dungeon
Strategy: This multi-colored Thwomp is the second boss you'll face in
this game. It changes colors in order: green, blue, purple, and
red. There are moving platforms that circle it, and an opening
on the head. It will periodically shoot out fireballs, so watch
out for them. Take out your Bombs and time the throws so you
make it into the head opening when the Head Thwomp is red. This
will cause it damage. Do this 4 times total to kill it.

Shadow Hag
    Found: Moonlit Grotto
Strategy: This boss is actually rather simple to beat. There will be 4
smaller shadows moving around the room, eventually coming
together to form a hole where 4 flies will come out. Clear them
quickly because the boss will appear behind you and charge in
your direction. If you face it, it will disappear, so shoot a
seed at the wall in front of you and move out of the way to
cause damage. Repeat this pattern until you win.

Eyesoar
    Found: Skull Dungeon
Strategy: The boss is a blue floating eyeball, with 4 smaller ones
orbiting around it. Don't bother killing the smaller ones since
they just keep regenerating. When you see an opening, use the
Switch Hook on the main boss to flip it over nearby. This is
when you should run up and attack it with your sword. You'll
have to do this a few times to beat it; just be careful of the
smaller eyes since they do get faster as you go on.

Smog
    Found: Crown Dungeon
Strategy: As soon as you enter this fight, you will see the boss split
into smaller entities, and blocks will appear in the room that
these small bodies will move around. You have to make them
touch and recombine into one, so you can attack it. There are 4
rounds of this. For round 1, put a block at the top-middle of
the bottom structure (it will look like a +). For round 2, put
blocks to the right of the middle block on the left column,
then after that body moves to the center area, put another
block in the top-right corner of that center column. For round
3, push the top block left and the bottom to the right. Then,
put a block at the right end of the left row. When the cloud
goes onto the upper-left block, make a block in the center so
it continues on, crashing into the other piece. For the final
round, place a block next to the top block in the left row so
the first cloud goes the other way. Repeat for the opposite
side. Then, go to the bottom-center area and put a block below
the bottom block in that step formation. This is the final form
and the boss will be beat after you attack this time.

Octogon
    Found: Mermaid's Cave
Strategy: This boss stays in the water, but you'll have to face it both
on the surface, and below the water as well. On the surface, it
will swim around, stopping every now and then to shoot a
projectile from its back side. When it does this, use the Seed
Shooter and launch a Scent Seed at it to cause damage (the red
part is what you need to hit). When the boss goes underwater
(you'll know when it shoots fireballs in the air), dive and
take the battle below the surface. Swim around, shooting Scent
Seeds at the wall to bounce back at the boss for more damage.
Do this to pop the bubbles it creates, too. Alternate between
these methods of attack on and below the surface, and you'll
              win after many successful hits.

Veran (inside Nayru)
    Found: Ambi's Palace
Strategy: As you know, Veran is inside Nayru's body and you can't attack
direct at the risk of hurting Nayru. Veran will warp around to
various areas of the room, usually behind the pillars, and
shoot energy beams in all directions. When Veran stops, shoot a
Mystery Seed at the body to eject the demon. Then, use the
Switch Hook to pull it away, and use your sword to attack. Do
              this 3 times to win.

Plasmarine
    Found: Jabu-Jabu's Belly
Strategy: Fighting this giant jellyfish shouldn't be too hard, if you
know what to do actually. It has the same electric attack as
the smaller versions, but this one also shoots energy balls at
you as it follows you around the room. The trick here is to
stay ahead of Plasmarine, then when he shoots an energy ball at
you, use the Long Hook to switch places with him. This will put
the boss right in the path of the energy ball, causing it
damage. The energy shots get quicker as you progress, so keep
alert and repeat this about 8 times to win the fight.

Ramrock
    Found: Ancient Tomb
Strategy: The fight against this rock monster can be tough, since its
hands take 4 different forms, and each form employs a different
strategy. For the first form, Ramrock will shoot his hands at
you; knock them back at the head to cause damage. After about 3
hits, it will switch forms. For the second form, it will fly
around the room, opening its claw hands for a few seconds
before crushing them together. Stay below this boss when you
can, and toss a bomb in between the hands so it explodes when
they crush it. After 3 more hits, the next form will come. Use
the Seed Shooter to bounce seeds off the wall to hit the back
of Ramrock's head. Do this 3 times and you move on to the last
form of the boss. He will have 2 orb hands, and extends one to
attack you. When this happens, run up and pull back the other
hand with the Power Gloves, then release to hit Ramrock. Do
this a few more times and the fight will soon be over.

Veran (first round)
    Found: Black Tower
Strategy: During this fight against the possessed body of Queen Ambi, you
use the same strategy as your earlier meeting with Veran. When
she warps behind a pillar, shoot a Mystery Seed to get the
spirit out of the body, then use the Long Hook to pull it out.
Attack with the sword, then repeat. Watch out for the energy
balls shot out by Veran, and continue the attack 2 more times.
Veran will then turn into a fairy-like enemy and sends 4 shadow
clones of Link into the room. Avoid them and attack Veran when
she flies by with your sword, avoiding her energy blasts some
more. This will take many hits, but it's pretty easy if you
              just avoid the energy attacks.

Veran (second round)
    Found: Black Tower
Strategy: This final version of Veran will have 3 different forms you may
have to fight against. For the purple blob, it will jump around
quickly, trying to fall on your head. Stay away from it since
when it drops, it will temporarily warp the ground around it.
After a few jumps, you will see Veran's face in the center
plate. Attack with your sword then. In spider form, throw a
Bomb at it while avoiding its powerful web attack, then run up
and attack with the sword while Veran is stunned. Then for the
bee form, avoid the stingers when they are shot out, and attack
with the sword when you can. In bee form, Veran moves in a set
zig-zag pattern across the room. When she shoots out small
enemies to chase you, cut them down to get some hearts if you
need. Keep up with the different forms as she changes, and if
you keep your health up, you should be able to defeat her.

-= 7. Weapons/Items -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

NOTE: I know this isn't the full list of items, but understand that this
guide is only meant to be covering THIS GAME ONLY, thus will not cover
things you get from linked games or passwords. Sorry!

Bombs: These explosive devices can be thrown at enemies to attack, and even
       blow open cracked walls.

Boomerang: The classic throwing item, which comes back to you after going a
certain distance. It can be used to stun enemies and trigger
           distant switches, etc.

Cane of Somaria: This mysterious red cane creates a block when you use it.
That block can be used to depress floor switches and such.
Only one block can be created at a time, and you can cut
apart the existing block with your sword too.

Dimitri's Flute: If you bought this flute at the Lynna City Shop, you will
get this when you meet Dimitri. He can move around in the
water with you on his back. He can also eat water enemies,
such as those sharks. Use this flute to summon Dimitri when
                 you need him later on.

Flippers: You cannot equip these manually, but they allow you to swim in the
deep waters. They are a necessity for much of the game later on.

Harp of Ages: This special instrument allows you to travel in between the
past and present time eras by playing some songs.

Tune of Echoes: Activates the time portal markings if there are any
visible in that area. Step into the portal to warp to the
                    past/present on a one-way trip.

Tune of Currents: Lets you warp from the past to the present, or vice
versa. A warp vortex appears where you enter the other
time era, which you can use to return to the previous
                      era.

Tune of Ages: With this tune, you can travel freely between the past and
                  present, with no restrictions.

Long Hook: The upgraded Switch Hook; this one has a much longer reach than
           its previous version.

Mermaid Suit: You'll be able to swim in all forms of water with this suit on.
Move by tapping the D-pad in the direction you wish to go, and
press B to dive and resurface. You'll be able to swim in the
sea and in black (deep) water found in the later dungeons.

Moosh's Flute: Use this to summon Moosh. He is a winged bear who can fly over
gaps if you keep tapping the jump button, and even ground
pound if you hold the attack button for a few seconds.

Power Bracelet: When equipped, you can lift up/push pots and rocks with it.
Without it, you are apparently too weak to do anything.

Power Gloves: The upgraded version of the bracelets, these can be used to
lift the heavy blue statues you find later in the game.

Ricky's Flute: Use this to call Ricky the kangaroo whenever you need his
assistance. You will get this flute upon meeting Ricky if you
won the Strange Flute in the shooting range at Lynna Village.
Ricky will help you jump up cliffs and over small pits, and he
               can punch enemies to attack.

Roc's Feather: Allows you to jump over small, one-tile gaps and such. It
comes in handy when dealing with conveyor belts and avoiding
               some enemy attacks.

Seed Satchel: With this, you can hold various types of seeds inside for use
whenever you want. There are five types of seeds:

Ember: Use to light unlit lanterns and burn down shrubs.

Scent: Draws enemies near you, for a mass attack if you so desire.

Pegasus: Allows you to dash around for a limited time.

Gale: Warps you to any of the seed trees in Holodrum.

Mystery: Use on owl statues to get tips, among other things.

Seed Shooter: As the name implies, this is used to shoot seeds at enemies or
other objects. When shot, a seed can ricochet off walls twice
              before it disintegrates.

Shield: With this, you can defend yourself against various enemy attacks.
Your regular shield is weaker than the Iron Shield you can pick up
later on, which is much larger and can defend against stronger
        attacks.

Shovel: Use this to dig up the dirt, revealing treasures and such.

Strange Flute: You can buy this at the Lynna City Shop, or win it at the
shooting range in Lynna Village. Depending on where you get it
from, your animal friend will either be Ricky or Dimitri.

Switch Hook: This unique item allows you to swap places with the object or
enemy you connect with. It's VERY useful for crossing gaps with
pots/blocks on the other side, etc.

Sword: Your primary weapon in this game. You start off with the Wooden Sword,
but later in the game you can acquire the more powerful Noble Sword.
You can hold the sword button to charge up, to unleash a spinning
attack for added damage. Also, with the L-2 sword, if you are at full
health, you can shoot beams from your blade tip.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

========
Overview
========

Throughout the game, you will come across many rings. They can be found in
chests, as prizes from the Gasha trees you plant, or can be dropped by Maple
the witch. When you get a ring, you cannot use it right away; you must first
have it appraised by the ring shop in Lynna City/Village. Pay 20 rupees for
an appraisal, to reveal the ring's actual name/powers. You can then take a
ring with you (or 3, or 5, depending on the size of your current ring box),
and equip it as needed. If you appraise a ring you already have, the
shopkeeper will award you with 30 rupees for your trouble. Most of the rings
below are found at random, but there are certain ones you can get when
playing Oracle of Seasons, or by talking to certain people/completing certain

Tasty Meat: On Crescent Island (Present), visit the Tokay chef in his hut.
Give him the Stink Bag to clear up his nose, and he will cook you
some food as a reward for your help.

Doggie Mask: In Talus Peaks (Present), visit the Mask Shop. Give the hungry
shopkeeper the meat, and he will give you this mask.

Dumbbell: In Lynna City (Present), go to Mamamu Yan's house in the south end
of town. Give her the mask for her dog, and she will reward you
          with this dumbbell.

Cheesy Mustache: In the Symmetry City (Past), enter the center building and
go downstairs. Talk to the skinny man and give him the
second dumbbell that you have, and he will give you his
                 mustache as thanks.

Funny Joke: In Lynna City (Present), head toward the north-center area of
town next to the stream. Talk to the larger man who wants to make
people laugh, and give him the mustache to hear his Funny Joke.

Touching Book: Go to Lynna Village (Past) and enter the house to the right of
the stream in the north section of town. Tell him the joke and
he will allow you to take any book you want, particularly this
               one.

Magic Oar: If you have the Touching Book in your possession during a random
Maple encounter, she will take the book and give you this oar.

Sea Ukulele: Visit Rafton in his shop (Past) south of Lynna Village. Give him
the oar and he will trade you the Sea Ukulele as thanks.

Broken Sword: At the Coast of No Return (Past), there is a cave where the old
Zora lives. Talk to him and he will give you this broken sword
in exchange for your ukulele which reminds him of the sea.

Noble Sword: Go to the Restoration Wall (Past) and visit Patch. Play his
ceremonial game again, this time with two waves of enemies, and
you will get this new sword fixed if you win. It is difficult
and will take many tries, so be patient/alert to succeed!

Bipin and Blossom
=================

In Lynna City, there is a long house with a married couple inside, named
Bipin and Blossom. If you visit early in the game, you will see they have a
baby; talk to Blossom and you can name it. If you return at various points in
the game, you can help out monetarily and do other things. All of your
actions will affect how this baby grows up though. At the end of this game,
if you were to link to Seasons and return to the house, the baby will be
grown up. Feel free to experiment with different options to see how your
child grows up! There is also a great guide on GameFAQs.com by Puritan that
explains this well, so check that out as well.

=======================
Getting the Iron Shield
=======================

When you first go to Crescent Island, you will lose your shield but can't
find the Tokay to get it back from. If you return with the Mermaid Suit in
the past, swim to the southwest corner of the island. Dive under the reef to
reach a cave there; talk to the Tokay inside to get this shield upgrade.

=============
Item Upgrades
=============

Big Bomb Bag: After you fix the Tuni Nut and return it to Symmetry Village,
go back to Talus Peaks in the past. Go to the section where you
can push the plant bulb in between one of the 2 walls; push it
against the left wall and warp to the present. Climb up it to
reach a fountain; throw a bomb in and a fairy will appear. Tell
her you threw a regular bomb in and she will allow you to carry
              up to 30 Bombs!

L-2 Ring Box: Buy this for 300 rupees in the basement of Lynna City Shop.

Super Seed Satchel: Go visit Tingle atop the cliff at the South Shore in the
present a second time. To reach him, go into the cave and
use the Seed Shooter to bounce a seed to the crystal
switch. When you reach Tingle, jump and use the sword to
pop his balloon, then talk. He'll do the upgrade here.

=========
Passwords
=========

At the end of your first playthrough, you will receive a password. If you
were to start a new file on the other game (in this case Seasons), pick the
Secrets option and enter said password. Alternatively, you can enter the Maku
Tree and talk to Farore at the counter, to enter any secrets you've obtained.
This will allow you to start that game with an extra Heart Container, and
your Wooden Sword equipped. There are a wide variety of passwords and secrets
you can learn throughout the course of your linked playthrough, by talking to
various people. By using some of these passwords, this is the only way you
can obtain certain items and weapons. I don't intend on listing all these
passwords here, but if you want to try them out, I recommend you visit
AstroBlue's Password List, all of which are working, at this URL:

Do not ask me if you may post this file as a whole or in part, because you
WILL be denied. I have been ripped off WAY too many times in the past, and
even in the present day, and I just prefer to keep my work on the sites
above. If you are writing a FAQ for this game and would like to use a little
snippet, please ask me first since I sometimes allow people to use tiny bits
and pieces; either way you must still ask first! I don't care who you are,
how good your site is, etc., because I do not give permission to ANYONE
nowadays; nothing against you if you truly are legitimate, but this is how I
have to be thanks to the bad ones out there. If I find you have posted this
or any other file I have created where it is not authorized, I will make sure
it is removed and you will be sorry, simply put.

-= 15. Contact Information -=
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

As of this file's version, it contains all the information I know to date. If
this is not the final version, there's a very good chance I'm still working
on completing it; hold off on contacting me until you see I completed the FAQ
and what you need still isn't anywhere in the file. Another important thing:
please READ THE FAQ before sending me an email. I get plenty of mail as it
is, so don't waste my time (and yours) by writing to me if if's already
explained somewhere. If it's a side quest or item, chances are it's in
another section besides the walkthrough, so check the appendices as well.

NOTE: Please do not write to me about any of my past FAQs (see the URL
below). There are reasons why I have no contact information on them, thus any
and all mail regarding them will be deleted, sorry.

Basically, only write to me if you have information to be added to this FAQ,
general comments, or questions about things definitely not found in here. I
usually do post submissions, credit given of course, so feel free to send me
new relevant information! My inbox is: dbmfaqs(at)gmail.com. Thanks for
reading, and be sure to check out my other work at this URL:
