This is a detailed guide of the islands of the Wind Waker. It will tell you
every last thing about the island; treasures that are found on it, important
people and events, and so on. Turn to this guide when you need some quick info
about a specific island, or just browse through if you're looking for something
like some extra heart pieces to add to your collection.

If an island has #BALLAD OF GALES# written next to it, that means that once you
learn to conduct that song, you can have cyclones take you to that island.

The guide lists the islands from top to bottom, left to right. The rows from
top to bottom are A, B, C, D, E, F and G. The columns from left to right are
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Use them to quickly locate an island. Look at this
figure to help you further.

 | A | A | A | A | A | A | A |

+----+----+----+----+----+----+----+ sector to the list to find out the

At the listing of each island, I will include what sector it's in (A1) and
right below the name will be all the items and events on that island. Then I will
tell you what Fishman (the fish that tells you hints and helps you with your sea
chart when you give him bait) tells you in that sector. Below his comments are
the detailed explanations of the items, how to get them, people with whom they
associate, and just about everything else you can think of. I'll also include
some miscellaneous junk at the end that needs to be said.

======================
A1 - Forsaken Fortress
======================

Pirate's Charm
Skull Hammer
(1) Heart Piece
Tingle Ting Price Cut

Fishman's Hint: SKULL NECKLACES - I hear there's a fellow on Windfall Island
who's collecting Skull Necklaces. You know who it is, fry? I don't. Sorry. What I
CAN tell you is that those piggish monsters you see here in the Forsaken Fortress
seem to carry those Skull Necklaces around all the time. Not that I think it's
easy work stealing anything from the likes of those guys.

Pirate's Charm: You receive this automatically when you are thrown into the
fortress by Tetra and the Pirates.

Skull Hammer: You earn this hammer on your second visit to the Forsaken
Fortress when you defeat Phantom Ganon.

Heart Piece: Go to the jail cell with many barrels around it. (1F) Near those
barrels is a switch, step on it to open the cell. Inside is a chest with the
piece of heart.

Tingle Ting Price Cut: Ting's are potions that Tingle can give you on the
spot if you pay for them, using the Tingle Tuner. They cost a lot, so come here
to cut the price in half. Look for a huge metal pot on the first floor and
stand inside it.

================
A2 - Star Island
================

(1) Heart Piece

Fishman's Hint: ICE ARROWS - I hear that somewhere out in the wild world is a
handy arrow that can freeze anything. With something like that, you could even
freeze that nasty monster in the Forsaken Fortress... for awhile anyway. But
then, what would you do with a frozen monster, you say? Good question, fry. Why,
I'd say that you'd give that thing a whack and watch it shatter into teeny-tiny
pieces!

Heart Piece: Bomb the large boulder on the island's outer edge. Drop into the
cave and defeat all the enemies inside to earn the heart piece.

==========================
A3 - Northern Fairy Island
==========================

Rupee Bag Upgrade
Treasure Chart #22

Fishman's Hint: MAGIC ARMOR - The little shop master on Windfall Island
apparently got his hands on a truly amazing treasure. He calls it Magic Armor or
something like that. It's a pretty cool magical relic, from what I've heard. If
you want him to give it to you, try staring deep into his eyes and winning him
over with flattery, fry! Ahhhh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Rupee Bag Upgrade: Just walk into the shell on the island (you have to have
complete the Forbidden Woods beforehand) to get the upgrade so you can hold
more rupees.

Treasure Chart #22: Enter the sub northwest of the island and defeat the
enemies inside, then swing on the ropes until you reach Treasure Chart #22.
Sector: Spectacle Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

==============
A4 - Gale Isle
==============

Wind God's Aria (Song)
Hookshot
Triforce Shard #2
Treasure Chart #5
Treasure Chart #35

Fishman's Hint: IRON BOOTS - Are you thinking you want to get into that cave,
small fry? The one that's protected by the crazy winds on that island? Heh heh
heh! OK, then. Let me just tell you a little secret... if you go five squares
south and one square east from here, you'll reach Ice Ring Isle, where you'll
find an item that will make you as heavy as stone. If you get that item, you
won't have to worry about being blown over by the winds.

Wind God's Aria (Song): Once you get the Iron Boots and you enter the cave on
the island, take out your Wind Waker near the big stone. You will learn the
Wind God's Aria.

Hookshot: This island is the Wind Temple, in which you get the hookshot. It's
on B1. You'll have to defeat one Red Wizzrobe that summons other monsters.
When you clear the room of enemies, you'll get the Hookshot.

Triforce Shard #2: The 2nd shard sleeps under the waves of this island. Once
you have the chart deciphered (from Private Oasis) you will be able to dig it
up with the Grappling Hook.

Treasure Chart #5: In B1 of the Wind Temple, in the main room (the central
room that let's you access the above two floors) defeat all the enemies once
you get the hookshot and a chest will appear with treasure chart #5 in it.
Sector: Windfall Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #35: Near the location of the above chart, in B1, there is room
where you get a small key. In that room, put the iron boots on and break
through all 5 weak spots in the floor. Then a chest with the chart will appear.
Sector: Islet of Steel Treasure: 200 Rupees

=========================
A5 - Crescent Moon Island
=========================

(1) Heart Piece
Triforce Chart #4 (Ghost Ship)
Treasure Chart #9
Treasure Chart #10

Fishman's Hint: THE GHOST SHIP - You'd best be careful sailing these waters on
nights when the moon is full. Well, if you like pure soul-freezing horror, fry,
then maybe you can handle it.

Heart Piece: Once you get Treasure Chart #11 from Dragon Roost Island, you can
get this from the ocean floor with your Grappling Hook.

Triforce Chart #4: When the moon is full, come here to find the Ghost Ship. Sail
into it and clear the room of monsters to get the chart.
Shard Location: G2 Outset Island

Treasure Chart #9: Enter the submarine north of the island and defeat all the
enemies. Light the four torches with a Boko Stick to earn the chart.
Sector: Horseshoe Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #10: Simply walk onto the island and open the chest that's just
sitting there.
Sector: Tingle Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

=====================
A6 - Seven-Star Isles
=====================

(1) Heart Piece
Triforce Shard #7
Treasure Chart #16

Fishman's Hint: BIG OCTOS - If you see seagulls flying around some sea waters,
that's a sign that you need to be wary, fry. Because the seagulls flock wherever
Big Octos appear. I tell you! Those things don't mess around!

Heart Piece: Stand on the island and search for a flock of seagulls with your
telescope. When you find them, sail out towards the flock. A Big Octo will
appear. Kill it with either the boomerang or cannon, then use the Grappling Hook
in the spot where you defeated it to pull up this heart piece.

Triforce Shard #7: The 7th shard lies here in the ocean. Once you get the
Triforce Chart from Stone Watcher Island, you can dig this one up.
Shard Location: A6 Seven-Star Isles

Treasure Chart #16: Destroy all the wall-mounted cannons with your bombs to make
a chest with this chart appear.
Sector: Shark Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

====================
A7 - Overlook Island
====================

Triforce Chart #8
Secret Chart

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - Hey small fry, do you know about the golden
Triumph Forks? They're there, I tell you... on that island... the chart is there,
is what I mean to say. But the cliff face rises sharply, and even if you wanted
to climb it, there aren't any ledges or footings for you to grab onto. So what
are you going to do, small fry?

Triforce Chart #8: Use the hookshot on trees to pull you to the top of the
highest island. Fall down a hole up there and defeat all the enemies within the
cave to get the chart.
Shard Location: G4 Two-Eye Reef

  1 2 3 4 5 6 7 Secret Chart: Once you get Treasure Chart #13 from

Treasure Chart #19

Fishman's Hint: LIGHT RINGS - You've seen those weird rings of light that appear
on the surface of the sea, haven't you, small fry? Did you know that some of
those rings only appear night? Didn't think so.

Deluxe Picto Box: Talk to Lenzo once you have the Picto Box. Agree to be his
assistant, then do his 3 tasks.

One the first task, look for the man in red
suspenders. He walks slowly, and he stops if you get close to him. Watch him from
afar walking toward the postbox. Stand by the bush near the huge tree by the
postbox and wait for him to come. Zoom in and take his picture just as he puts
a letter in the box.

For the second task, go into the café during the day and roll into the wall. The
man sitting down will freak out, when he does, snap his picture.

For the last task, stand in front of Lenzo's shop and aim the camera at the
woman in orange. When a blond-haired man walks by and they look at each other,
take the picture.

Now that the tasks are completed, go the Forest Haven and put a firefly in
a bottle. Take the firefly back to Lenzo, and he'll upgrade your camera.

Bottle: After the 2nd trip to Forsaken Fortress, talk to the blond girl by the
auction house at night. Walk away and then follow her quietly until she starts
trying to open Lenzo's safe. When she does, run up behind her and say the first
response to all of her questions to get the bottle.

Magic Armor: Trade the Town Flower that Zunari gives you to the merchant on
Greatfish Isle for a Sea Flower. Go back and talk to Zunari again to get the
Magic Armor.

Hero's Charm: Give Mrs. Maria 40 Joy Pendants and she will give you the Hero's
Charm, which let's you see the HP of your enemies.

Song of Passing: Walk up to the dancing man near the gravestone and pull out the
Wind Waker. Conduct in 3/4 time, Right, Left, Down. Then you'll learn the Song
of Passing, which changes the time from day to night and vice versa.

Tingle Tuner: You get this device automatically when you save Tingle from his
cell. Just talk to him and press the switch hidden behind the barrels.

Cabana Deed: Give Mrs. Marie 10 Joy Pendants and she will hand you the deed to
her Private Oasis. Sail down there and show the doorman the deed to gain access.

Tingle Price Cut: If you leap onto the striped awning of the school on Windfall

Fishman's Hint: CHUCHUS - Do you know what a ChuChu is, small fry? No, I'm not
talking about the sound you make when you kiss someone! I'm talking about
ChuChus! They're those slimy, monster-like puddles of goo that turn into blobs
of jelly, stand up and start jumping at you like crazy when you come near them.
Well, in any case, there's a lot of them on that island over there, so if you
see any, I'd avoid them. Now that I think about it, every once in a while I see
the potion brewer who lives on Windfall Island come here... now why would he do
that, fry? They can get... nasty.

Heart Piece 1: There is a huge, blue/white rock formation on the main island.
Somewhere near its base is a tunnel that you can crawl through. Do so, and
inside you'll find a chest with a heart piece.

Heart Piece 2: Once you get Treasure Chart #30 from the Tower of the Gods,
head back here and dig up the heart piece with the Grappling Hook.

Fishman's Hint: A SECRET CAVE - There's a real peculiar cave toward the backside
of this here Dragon Roost Island. Yeah, real peculiar. But I doubt you'll ever
get to see it, small fry--unless you manage to sprout wings and fly, that is...
'cause you won't be getting there otherwise!

Heart Piece 1: Talk to the Rito man that's behind the counter on the top floor
of the main building. Agree to help sort letters, and sort 25 or more in the time
limit. He will hire some other kid, so leave. Come back and talk to the new
recruit, then do 25 or more again. He'll give you a letter to mail, so mail it.
A couple of days later, you'll get a letter thanking you for sending the first
letter, with a piece of heart attached.

Heart Piece 2: Collect 20 Golden Feathers in your spoil bag and give them to the
Rito guard on the top floor. He will give you 100 Rupees, but his girlfriend will
mail you a piece of heart. Allow 2-3 days for delivery.

Treasure Chart #11: In the dungeon on this island, there is a room with a
treasure chest behind wood gates (the room with the compass). Light a Boko stick
and throw it at the wooden gates to burn them. Now climb the ledge and get
the treasure chart in the chest.
Sector: Crescent Moon Island Treasure: Piece of Heart

Treasure Chart #39: Also in the dungeon, there is a room with many Bokoblins
hiding in jars. In that room, there is an unlit torch. Light a Boko stick and
then light the torch to reveal a chest with the treasure chart in it.
Sector: Dragoon Roost Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Wind Waker: This baton is automatically given to you when you first land upon
the shores of Dragoon Roost Island by the Kind of Red Lions. Use it to conduct
songs and do things like change the wind's direction.

Delivery Bag: This item is given to you by the Rito chieftain when you agree to
help his son.

Father's Letter: Right after you receive the Delivery Bag, you will also get this
letter to take to Prince Komali. It tells the prince to be brave and courageous,
like Link.

Bottle: This bottle is given to you by Medli when you help her into Dragoon Roost
Cavern. To help her up there, lift her with A, then stand on the pedestal in the
center of the area. Wait until the leaves are blowing toward the entrance, then
throw her. Upon her safe landing, she will grant you the empty bottle.

Wind's Requiem (Song): Once you get the Wind Waker, head through a tunnel right
by you and swim to the Wind Shrine. There, read the stone and you will learn the
song, which lets you change the wind's direction. Zephos will also drop by and
teach you a little history and about his brother, Cyclos.

Grappling Hook: Once you hike to the top of the mountain and defeat the enemies,
you will save Medli from her cell and she will award you with the Grappling Hook,
and item that the Rito tribe used to use before they evolved into winged beings.

Din's Pearl: The special stone that Prince Komali's grandmother gave him has the
power to calm any soul. Komali holds onto this tightly, and is attached to it
like he was to his grandmother. When you save the day by defeating Ghoma and
rescuing Medli and Valoo, Prince Komali will give you his most prized possession.

An Easy 200 Rupees: Once you get the Hero's Bow, look up on the cliff wall near
where you land on the island. There is a huge boulder with bombs near it. Shoot
one of the bombs to cause a chain reaction, and make a chest come down. Inside
the chest is a cool 200 Rupees.

Grappling Hook... no lie, fry! I hear you can throw that thing at monsters and
use it to grab treasure they've hidden in their pockets. Talk about cool. Oh,
and have you seen those imp-like creatures called Bokoblins that hang out on
the lookout platforms at sea and stare through their telescopes? I hear those
guys keep Joy Pendants hidden in their pockets, so if you get one of those
Grappling Hooks, you can use it to swipe their pendants!

tell you, the way that ray of light shone out like a shaft of gold through the
cold darkness. I used to gaze at it with dear Gilian... anyway, I bet if someone
could shoot a powerful spark into the top of that lighthouse, it would light up
again! Of course, that's just my intuition talking... then again, you should
never doubt a fish's intuition, small fry!

C3 - Tingle Island #BALLAD OF GALES#

(1) Heart Piece

Fishman's Hint: TINGLE - Let me tell you a little something about that island
over there, small fry... the guy who lives there is named Tingle, but he won't
grow up and act his age. He still dresses like a little kid. That... is not
normal. Still, from what I hear, he can decipher maps like nobody's business!
It just goes to show you that you can't judge a person on appearance alone, fry!
Of course, the thing about this Tingle guy is that when it comes time to pay his
deciphering fee, you'd better be ready to fork over some serious dough. Anyone
who doesn't have a deep wallet won't be reading any maps, that's for sure.

Heart Piece: North of Tingle Island is a flock of seagulls. Sail towards them
and man your canon. As soon as you see a Big Octo, take it out with your canon
or boomerang, then use the Grappling Hook on the spot it died to dig up this
heart piece.

of four little hoodlums is always causing trouble for her. Those little
delinquents like to cause all sorts of trouble. They go climbing trees and
hiding behind buildings instead of going to school... What a bunch of savages.

Fishman's Hint: WINDFALL ISLAND AUCTION - Word is, they hold an auction every
night over there on Windfall Island. Every night the people gather in the auction
house to amuse themselves by spending a little money. Ah, the rich! Auctions may
be a race to see who can bid the highest, but I'll let you in on a little secret:
The key to winning an auction is to be both bold and patient. I'm serious, fry!
From what I hear, they get some great things up on that auction block, too...
like heart-shaped stuff, among other things. Maybe that's just a rumor. You
should try it out, small fry. You might just like it!

Fishman's Hint: FIRE MOUNTAIN TREASURE - You see that there volcano that's
spewing out lava like there's no tomorrow? Yeah, well, they say there's a great
treasure hidden inside that thing. The thing is, everyone who's ever tried to get
inside has just been blasted away by the great balls of fire that come shooting
off the top. If you want to get inside, you ought to go find the island that's
one square north and four squares west of here. That's where the power to freeze
anything is hidden... or so they say. Maybe it's not true. But it wouldn't hurt
to look, fry!

Power Bracelets: Get the Ice Arrows by conducting the Ballad of Gales and going
to Mother & Child Isles, then come back here. Shoot the top of the island with
the Ice Arrows, then climb the summit. Drop in and get the Power Bracelets.

There is a Big Octo in this sector that gives you 100 Rupees.

that don't always shine. Yeah. There are these special ones that shine like
crazy, but only when you open a Treasure Chart! They say that those mark the
spots where the greatest treasures are hidden!

Treasure Chart #26

Fishman's Hint: ZUNARI'S SAFE - They've got a shop over there on Windfall Island-
a nice outdoor shop! Did you know that, small fry? And in that shop they've got
this really fine safe that looks to be brimming full with riches... and they just
leave it sitting outside--day and night! I tell you, one of these days that thing
is going to get hauled off by a thief! Mark my words, fry! Of course, if I were
to find a thief in the act of thieving, I'd stop the perpetrator right there and
catch the rat red-handed! I'm sure if I did, the owner of that shop would thank
me. Yeah, he'd be happy... that would be the honest thing to do!

Heart Piece: Southwest of the island is a submarine. Head inside and take out
all the Moblins, then climb the ladder to get the heart piece.

Treasure Chart #26: Destroy all the wall-mounted cannons and ships.
Sector: Northern Triangle Island Treasure: Octo Chart

Hero's Bow

Fishman's Hint: TOWER OF THE GODS - I've done a fish-fortune on you, small fry,
and from what I can tell, it looks like you're fated to come to this place many
times. And the keys that control that fate are none other than the lucky items
known as the Triumph Forks! Yeah, they're some sort of magical utensils! If you
want to learn more about the Triumph Forks, talk to that guy, Tingle! That's
what the fish-fortune told me! Now, I know I may only be a fish, but my fortune-
telling is uncannily accurate! You'd better believe it, small fry!

Treasure Chart #6: Backtrack to the first room of the Tower once you get the bow.
(The room with the compass in it) Shoot the eye on the wall to open a secret
door that hides a chest with this chart in it.
Sector: Six-Eye Reef Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #30: On the second floor of the tower, there is a octagonal shaped
room. Looking at your map, it's north of the room with the Hero's Bow, but it's
not adjacent to it. In that room, stand on the left-hand scale and throw a bomb
at the cracked wall. Enter the new room and play the Wind's Requiem while
standing on the spiral pattern to reveal a chest with this chart in it.
Sector: Pawprint Isle Treasure: Piece of Heart

Command Melody: This song is automatically taught to you when you pull out your
Wind Waker in the Tower of the Gods while facing the stone in the middle of
the main room on the second floor.

Hero's Bow: Just left and down of the main room on the second floor, you will
work your way to a chest with the Hero's Bow. You'll have to battle a large
Darknut before it appears, though.

Nothing... really.

Fishman's Hint: A SPARE BOTTLE - Tell me, small fry... have you ever caught a
fairy before? 'Cause from what I've been told, when you've been beaten to a pulp
by monsters and such, and you think that you've finally met your match.. if
you've got a fairy with you then you've got nothing to worry about. Don't you
wish you had something handy for carrying fairies around with you, fry? If you
want one, go south from here until you see a miserable-looking submarine
floating on the sea. Look there!

There's really nothing here except a statue to place a pearl onto once you
collect all 3. It's quite a sad island. XD

Fishman's Hint: GOLDEN FEATHER - Tell me, small fry, do you have any of them
Golden Feathers? I hear those things are all the rage with Rito ladies on Dragon
Roost Island these days. They just go gaga over them! But the thing is, the only
way to get a Golden Feather is to defeat one of those bird-monsters... or so they
say. Yup! Rito men who have girlfriends sure have tough lots in life, I tell you!

Heart Piece: Once you have the proper treasure chart, you can dig this up.

Arrow Upgrade: Come to this island once you have the Skull Hammer, then smash
all 3 switches to open the gate to receive a bigger quiver. Again, if you have
30 arrows then, you'll get 60. And if you have 60, you'll get a whopping 99.

(1) Heart Piece
Triforce Chart #5

Fishman's Hint: TREASURE SHIPS - You've seen the boats sailing around here with
the real huge cannons, right, fry? I bet you those things have their hulls packed
with treasure! Of course, if you don't have a cannon yourself, there's no way
you'll ever sink one of them...

Heart Piece: Use a Hyoi Pear to temporarily control a seagull on the island. Fly
to the very top of Needle Rock and hit the crystal switch. When you do, the
flames around a treasure chest on the island will disappear. Inside that chest is
this piece of heart.

Triforce Chart #5: Near Needle Rock Isle is a golden enemy ship. Use your cannon
to destroy it, and when it sinks, a ring of light will appear. Use your Grappling
Hook on that ring of light to pull the fifth Triforce Chart out of the ocean.

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - So tell me, small fry, have you heard of the
fabled set of Triumph Forks? Well, it's right here, my young fry... on that
island... you know... a chart showing where to find them... of course, getting
it's the hard part.

Triforce Chart #1: Use the cannon to destroy the steel-plated ship that sits
in front of a water-cave on the side of the island. When the ship has sunk, go
inside the cave and play the Wind's Requiem on the whirlwind symbol.
Shard Location: D2 Greatfish Isle

Triforce Shard #3

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - So tell me, small fry, have you heard about the
golden Triumph Forks? There are such things... and there's a chart that'll show
you where to find them on that island there. If you want it, try asking that
huge, grouchy-looking stone watcher! I doubt you could even budge the thing,
though... you've got skinny arms, fry.

Heart Piece: Due east of Stone Watcher Island is a platform. Climb it, take out
all the Bokoblins, then use bombs to destroy all 8 cannons mounted on the
platform. When you do so, you'll be rewarded with a piece of heart.

Triforce Chart #7: Once you have the power bracelets, lift the "stone watcher"
and chuck him. Go into the hole where he used to be, then defeat every enemy
to get the chart.
Shard Location: A6 Seven-Star Isles

Triforce Shard #3: Once you get the chart from E7 Bird's Peak Rock, you can
use the Grappling Hook to pull this "Triumph Fork" out of the sea.

Triforce Shard #6

Fishman's Hint: LENZO'S LEGENDARY PICTOGRAPH - A famed pictographer lives far to
the north of here on Windfall Island. He's apparently real wise and talented in
the ways of pictography. He's even said to have a Legendary Pictograph that he
treasures above all other things. He keeps it hidden away in a secret safe, or
so they say. By the way, small fry... what exactly is a pictograph, anyway?!

Triforce Shard #6: Once you get the Triforce Chart from G2 Outset Island, come
back here and pull the 6th Triforce Shard off the ocean floor.

Triforce Chart #2
Treasure Chart #27

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - So, tell me, small fry... have you heard of the
golden set of Triumph Forks? It's right there, I tell you! A chart that shows
you where they are! In that house! If you want it, you'd better go in there and
scour the place from floor to ceiling!

Triforce Chart #2: This one will take a while. First, go to Windfall Island and
talk to Mrs. Marie in the 'School for Joy'. Agree to help her, then talk to the
Killer Bees, and challenge them in a Hide-and-Seek match. (See B4 Windfall Island
for more info) Once you find them all, return to Mrs. Marie. Give her 20 Joy
Pendants, and she will give you the Cabana Deed. Now sail to E5 Private Oasis and
show the deed to the door. He will let you in. Use your Grappling Hook on the
bar on the ceiling to open the fireplace up. Go inside the fireplace, and prepare
for a really stupid maze.

Treasure Chart #27: The highest point of this island has a chest with the chart
in it, getting there is a problem. You can either stand on the fence behind the
cabana and try to glide there with the Deku Leaf, or... simply use the Hookshot
(not Grappling Hook) to pull yourself up to a tree on the other side.
Sector: Star Belt Archipelago Treasure: 200 Rupees

There is also a puzzle inside the cabana that you can play for free. Each time
you solve it, you'll get 50 Rupees.

(2) Heart Pieces
Triforce Chart #4 (Ghost Ship)
Bottle

Fishman's Hint: THE GHOST SHIP - You ought to come sail these seas on nights when
the right half of the moon is missing... it'll give you shivers, fry!

Heart Piece 1: Use a bomb to destroy a large boulder on the island, then drop
into the hole. Attack the Magtail (the centipede-monster) so it rolls up, then
lift it up and set it on the switch to open the door. Go into the next room, then
walk down the very narrow path on the left to hit another switch. Backtrack the
path, and go up the new path and do the same to the Magtails, this time, pick
them up and throw them in the direction of the 2 fire barriers. They will land
in little holes with switches, which will unlock the final flame around the
treasure chest with the heart piece in it.

Heart Piece 2: Once you get Treasure Chart #20 from the Earth Temple in G5,
you can dig this up from the ocean floor here at Bomb Island.

Triforce Chart #4: When the right half of the moon is missing, come here to find
the Ghost Ship. Sail into it and clear the room of monsters to get the chart.
Shard Location: G2 Outset Island

Bottle: Around the island somewhere floats an enemy submarine. Sneak in and
defeat the whole crew to earn yourself a bottle.

Triforce Chart #3

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - Tell me, small fry, have you heard of the golden
Triumph Forks? They're there, on that island... or, at least, a chart leading to
them is there. Where's it hidden, you ask? Well, for the answer to that, you'll
have to ask a gull.

Triforce Chart #3: When you get on the island, stand by the mailbox. Use arrows
to shoot all the Kargoroks (the birds), then use a Hyoi Pear to possess a seagull
for a while. Have the seagull hit all five of the switches in the Kargoroks'
nests. Once you do, a door on the island will unlock. Go in the door to get the
chart.

(1) Heart Piece
Ghost Ship Chart

Fishman's Hint: THE GHOST SHIP CHART - Oh, I've got some great information, small
fry! Lucky you! If you use the treasure that's hidden on that island there, the
thing that vanishes as soon as you get near it... it won't vanish anymore! You
know... IT! I'm talking about IT! That thing that appears on nights when a wee
bit of the right half of the moon is missing! Don't you know what I'm talking
about?

Heart Piece: Once you get Treasure Chart #23 from Windfall Island, you can take
this off the ocean floor.

Ghost Ship Chart: Once you have the Hookshot, sail to the island. Hookshot your
way to the very top, then drop into the hole there. This puzzle is a series of
pots that lead up to the chart, but the place is ridden with Floormasters. So,
From the start, jump into the warp pot in front of you. In the next room, there
are 3 warp pots, including the one you came out of. Go in the one that's the
farthest away from you, around the corner of the big wood wall (there is a
Floormaster RIGHT by it, so, be careful) That pot will take you up on top of a
ship. Get the Joy Pendant from the chest up there, then look for a break in the
railing around the ship. Drop off, then go in the pot right near where you
landed. You'll appear on another ship. At the end are two pots, take the one
on the left, and then you'll finally have the Ghost Ship Chart.

all that's left is the ruins of the Fairy Fountain where she lived... it's sort
of sad... but to tell you the truth... I hear there still IS a fairy there. Yup!

Fishman's Hint: THE BALLAD OF GALES - Tell me, small fry, have you ever been
caught in one of those cyclones? The wind deity, Cyclos, uses those cyclones to
to fly across the sea instantaneously, or so I've heard. Could just be a rumor.
Boy, if you had that power, you wouldn't have to spend so much time sailing back
and forth across the sea all the time. Wouldn't that be nice, fry? But let me
tell you, there's no way he'll give up his power easily! You can't get near the
guy, so you'll have to figure out how to shoot him from a distance. Don't you
have a weapon that can pierce things from a distance? You know, fffwip? FFFWIP,
I tell you! You get my point, fry?!

Once you hit all four switches on the island (you'll need the Skull Hammer and
Iron Boots) you can enter a hole and kill a HUGE array of enemies for a measly
200 Rupees.

Fishman's Hint: THE BLACK GROUND ON OUTSET ISLAND - Listen up, small fry--this is
just between you and me... on Outset Island, buried beneath the black soil...
there's some serious treasure. I know it sounds like I'm trying to pull your leg,
but I'm serious. Try digging there!

Heart Piece: Buy the 900 Rupee treasure chart (#4) from Beedle in C2 Rock Spire
Island, you can take this heart piece off the ocean floor with the Grappling Hook

Treasure Chart #40: Destroy evrey ship and wall-mounted cannon in EVERY reef
island in the game, and a chest will appear on this island with the chart.
Sector: Headstone Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Iron Boots

Fishman's Hint: TREASURE IN ICE RING ISLE - There's this amazing treasure inside
that freezing ring of ice over there. But even if you wanted it and tried to get
inside, you'd just be frozen solid as soon as you approached the shore. But if
you go four squares north and three squares west, you'll find the power to melt
any ice--no matter how cold! Search for it, small fry!

Treasure Chart #36: Shoot the ice-encased treasure chest on the island with a
fire arrow, then open it to get the chart.
Sector: Bird's Peak Rock Treasure: 200 Rupees

Iron Boots: Shoot the ice-geyser from your boat with a fire arrow to clear a path
up the mountain. As soon as you do, a 5-minute timer will start. If you don't
get the Iron Boots within that time, you have to start over.
Climb on the ice from the outer island's left-hand side and walk right. When you
reach the end, jump to the floating block, then a moving block, then the inner
island. Take out the Keese (bats) with your boomerang, then walk acrosss the
small bridge and slide down the ramp. You'll get the Iron Boots from the chest
on the other side.

once met a merchant of incredible girth with a monstrous pack on his back. Now,
what could he be doing on that lonely little isle? I tell you, there are some
strange folk in the world, fry...

Heart Piece 1: Once you complete the Forbidden Woods dungeon, the mailbox near
your ship will be shaking. Talk to it to receive a letter from the Rito cheiftain
that has this heart piece attached.

Heart Piece 2: After completing the Forbidden Woods dungeon, little Koroks from
the forest will plant new trees on several of the islands of the Great Sea. The
trees are withering, and it's up to you to sprinkle them all with Forest Water
in a 20 minute period. Use a bottle to scoop up the water inside the haven, then
talk to the Great Deku Tree and have him mark the location of the withering trees

Treasure Chart #1: On the third floor of the Forbidden Woods dungeon. It's the
southern most chest, you have to do some backtracking once you have the boomerang
Sector: Crescent Moon Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #3: On the last Grappling Hook point before the entrance to the
inside of the Forest Haven, use the Grappling Hook then hold R and up to climb to
the top. Once standing on it, use the Deku Leaf to glide to a nearby island and
pick up the chart in a chest there.
Sector: Eastern Fairy Island Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #15: In the center of the northernmost room of B1 in the Forbidden
Woods dungeon is a room with a chest in it, encased in vines. There is a hole in
the ceiling of that little room. Throw a bomb in the hole so it blows up the
vines, then hop in there for the treasure chart.
Sector: Angular Isles Treasure: Piece of Heart

Deku Leaf: On your first visit to the haven, the Great Deku Tree will grant you
this useful item once you kill all the ChuChus on his face by rolling into the
tree, then killing them when they fall off. You will have to climb the Great Deku
Tree to get the leaf, however. Jump into the little flower on the left of the
Great Deku Tree, when you're facing him. The flowers launch you in the air, so
you will have to be facing the direction of the next flower when you are launched
up. Keep doing this until you get to the Deku Leaf.

Boomerang: At the very northernmost point of the fourth floor in the Forbidden
Woods dungeon lies the boomerang. Once you work your way up there, you will have
to fight a half-boss. Get the boomerang and use it on the two switches in that
room to get out.

Forest Water: The Forest Water helps save the withered trees all over the world.
Just use a bottle on the shallow water anywhere inside the Great Deku Tree's
lair. See Heart Piece 2 for more info.

Firefly (Deluxe Picto Box): Somewhere in the lair is a huge, rainbow colored
firefly. Catch it in a bottle and bring it to Lenzo at Windfall Island once you
complete his 3 tasks. He will upgrade your Picto Box to the Deluxe Picto Box.

Farore's Pearl: This is given to you by the Great Deku Tree once you save Makar
from the Forbidden Woods and the festival is over.

Fishman's Hint: THE NINTENDO GALLERY - Hey, small fry, do you know about the
Nintendo Gallery? The only way in there is to hit a switch that's way up high on
the Forest Haven. But the only way to do THAT would be to bribe one of the gulls
by putting a little bait on your head!

Triforce Shard #5: Once you get the Triforce Chart from Needle Rock Isle, you
can take the 5th Triforce Shard off the ocean floor and into your hands.

Treasure Chart #25: Enter the cave on the island, then use a Baba Bud to fly to
the highest point in sight. Throw a burning Boko stick or use a Fire Arrow to
burn the boards, then glide to the other side to get the chart.

Crest. Want to know what that thing is, fry? Well, too bad... I can't go giving
away every secret!

Treasure Chart #8: Horseshoe Island is a miniature golf course. You have to both
throw and blow (with the Deku Leaf) the big seeds in to the holes near the flag.
Once you do it for all three holes, you can drop in the grotto at the to and

Fishman's Hint: TRIFORCE CHART - I heard that beneath the big-head boulder on top
of the hill here on Outset... is where the greatest treasures of all, the golden
Triumph Forks, are buried. But actually, fry, I must have misheard or
something... cause thise one guy told me that what was actually buried beneath
the weird rock was a chart to this shard of something called a Triforce. Who ever
heard of that? That's crazy! There's a big difference between "Triumph Forks" and
"Triforce." I mean, I think someone intentionally buried something misleading
there.

Heart Piece 1: Climb all the way up to the highest point of the island, near the
start of the bridge to the woods. From there, make the wind blow west then look
for a big, rock statue in the direction. Use the Deku Leaf to glide towards it.
Once there, lift the rock with the Power Bracelets and drop in the hole. You will
go down DOZENS of levels, and eventually end up at the location of Triforce Chart
#6. However, if you use your Mirror Shield on a big statue in that final room, you
will reveal an even deeper passageway. Keep going down, and on the 50th level,
you will get a heart piece.

Heart Piece 2: Once you get the Power Bracelets, head back to town and lift up
the overweight, black pig. Carry him to a black spot of soil near the house that
is the farthest away from you when you pick the pig up. Drop the pig, throw some
All-Purpose Bait on the soil, then set try to set the pig right in front of it.
He will eat the bait and start digging into the soil, revealing a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece 3: Spar with Orca until you can hit him 500 times without being hit
3 times yourself. Orca will be so impressed, he'll give you a piece of heart.

Triforce Chart #6: See Heart Piece 1. Remember to play the Wind's Requiem on
the whirlwind tile.
Shard Location: E4 Southern Triangle Island

Triforce Shard #4: Once you get the Triforce Chart from the Ghost Ship, you can
take the 6th Triforce Shard off the ocean floor.

Telescope: Aryll gives you the telescope, her most prized possession, at the
beginning of the game. But you can only borrow it for one day, or so she says.

Hero's Clothes: When you first visit your grandma, she will give you the Hero's
Clothes for you coming of age. They are given to all 12 year olds because the
people of Outset believe that one day, the green-clad hero will be reborn and
save the world from Ganon.

Hero's Sword: Orca gives this to you once you take his lessons. Go to his house
after you see the Helmaroc King drop Tetra in the forest.

Hero's Shield: This shield that once hung in your very house was believed to have
been used by the ancient hero himself. After the Helmaroc King steals Aryll, go
to grandma's house to get the shield.

Bait Bag: Beedle's shop sells the bag for 20 Rupees. It holds all sorts of bait.
His floating boat shop will be cruising around the dock area.

Hyoi Pear: You can first get this from Beedle's shop on Outset Island. When you
use it near seagulls, you can control them for a short time.

All-Purpose Bait: You can first get this from Beedle's shop on Outset Island.
When you use it near Fishman, he will give you hints, complete your Sea Chart,
or let you play a mini-game. It can also be used in other circumstances, like
getting the big, black pig to dig up soil.

Nayru's Pearl: Jabun will give this to you when you visit him after getting the
bombs from Tetra and the Pirates. Sail around the back of Outset Island, and
into the whirlpool. While in the whirlpool, use the cannon to destroy the big
stone wall. Once it's destroyed, the whirlpool will stop, and you will sail in
the cave.

Elixer Soup: After getting the bombs, head to Outset and go to the woods on the
island. You will have to use the Deku Leaf to glide across the broken bridge.
Bomb the big rock blocking entrance to the Great Fairy in the woods, then go talk
to her to receive a Rupee Bag upgrade. After she leaves, catch a fairy in a
bottle and take it to your grandma. Release it from the bottle right in front of
her. She will wake up and make you Elixer Soup. It can be used twice. It doubles
your attack power (until you get hit) and restores your energy and magic.

Rupee Bag Upgrade: See Elixer Soup.

Hurricane Spin: Bring Orca 10 Knight's Crests and he will teach you the
Hurricane Spin. It allows you to hold down B, then release it for a powerful
spinning attack that opts for clearing out large areas of shrubbery or enemies.

Hand-Me-Down Tingle Tuner: Activate the normal Tingle Tuner and head to Outset
Island. Walk on the beach near your grandma's house until you get a message from
Tingle's brother, Knuckle. He'll ask you to find 4 locations, when you do, he'll
give you his Hand-Me-Down Tingle Tuner, which lets you order items in dungeons
and at sea.
Location 1 - The small boat north of your grandma's house.
Location 2 - The small ladder that goes in the water by Aryll's Lookout.
Location 3 - The highest rock on the island, up by the bridge to the woods.
Location 4 - Face the bridge to the woods and just walk off, landing in between
two high cliffs.

Treasure Chart #20
Earth God's Lyric
Mirror Shield

Fishman's Hint: POWER BRACELETS - Small fry, there's a real heavy stone blocking
a cave on that island. Don't you wonder what's behind it? Don't you want to get
in there? Heh heh! Let me tell you a great secret! If you go north four squares
and east three squares to Fire Mountain, you'll find an item that gives you the
strength to easily lift anything, no matter how heavy it is. With that thing, you
could lift that stone and toss it out of your way as if it were light as a
feather.

Heart Piece: At the very top of the island lies a Piece of Heart. Use a Hyoi Pear
to transform into a seagull, then simply fly into the heart piece.

Treasure Chart #12: In the leftmost room of B2 Earth Temple, take out all the
Stalfos in the coffins to make a chest appear with the chart in it.
Sector: Five-Eye Reef Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #14: There is a submarine northeast of the island. Defeat all the
enemies inside to get the chart.
Sector: Tower of the Gods Treasure: 200 Rupees

Treasure Chart #20: In the northeast room of B1 Earth Temple, (you get a small
key there) there's a room filled with mist and Floormasters. Kill all the
Floormasters to get the chart.
Sector: Bomb Island Treasure: Piece of Heart

Earth God's Lyric: Once you get the Power Bracelets and break the big headstone
and go in the hole, take out your Wind Waker next to the big stone with writing
on it. Laruto, a Zora god, will appear and teach you the song.

Mirror Shield: This lies deep within the Earth Temple. It's in the
southeasternmost room of the first floor. Use it to reflect light onto enemies
and statues.

Magic Upgrade

Fishman's Hint: MAGIC UPGRADE - I tell you, lately no one around these waters has
seen the beautiful fairy who bestows magic power. She used to live here, fry. All
anyone ever sees anymore are the Big Octos that been appearing lately. Maybe they
scared her off... oh no! I sure hope... they didn't eat her!

Treasure Chart #13: Destroy every wall-mounted cannon and ship.
Sector: Overlook Island Treasure: Secret Chart

Triforce Shard #8: Get the Triforce chart from A7 Overlook Island, then come
back here to dig this up from the ocean floor. The FINAL piece of the triforce
of courage!

Magic Upgrade: Simply destroy the Big Octo that inhabits the area and you will
be thanked by the Great Fairy with a Magic Upgrade. She will DOUBLE your magic
meter. Remember, look for a flock of seagulls to find the Big Octo, and don't
forget to use your boomerang!

(2) Heart Pieces

Fishman's Hint: FIREFLIES - Northeast of here is the Forest Haven... they say a
truly unique kind of firefly is indigenous to that place. You heard of it, small
fry? It emits bursts of light in seven colors! Supposedly it's as beautiful as a
rainbow! If you want to capture one, though, you'd best have a bottle to keep it
in.

Heart Piece 1: At the top of all those blocks lies a Heart Piece. Push and pull
that blocks that have patterns on their sides to reach it. You'll only be able
to pull some halfway out, but you can still get to the top by doing so.

Heart Piece 2: Get Treasure Chart #15 from the Forbidden Woods to be able to take
this off the ocean floor.

Fishman's Hint: QUICK TURNS - Lemme ask you something, fry... have you been using
R to make your boat jump? Well? Have you? Or course, going out to sea just to
jump around would be real dumb, if you ask me. Anyway, what you can do is tilt
the Control Stick to move your tiller just as you land... that's how you make a
sharp turn. If you didn't know that, why don't you try it out?

over jumping them at the right time. You can make quite a good profit here, an
average of about 110 Rupees if you know what you're doing.

Triforce Chart #4 (Ghost Ship)

Fishman's Hint: THE GHOST SHIP - Have you seen it, small fry? The Ghost Ship?
Cause it's real. It's even been seen here, in these very waters... on nights
when the crescent moon faces down... that's when the horror rises...

Heart Piece 1: Somewhere in this sector is a submarine. Follow the old routine
of boarding their ship and taking out the crew to claim the heart piece.

Heart Piece 2: When you get Treasure Chart #33 from Windfall Island, you can take
this heart piece off the ocean floor.

Triforce Chart #4: When the crescent moon faces down, come here to find the Ghost
Ship. Sail into it and clear the room of monsters to get the chart.
