Over the past days, we have received hundreds of e-mails about Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Most of them are from gamers who are stuck in a certain area of the game looking for help. In order to help you out without spoiling the experience by posting a complete guide, we have decided to continue to answer your questions in our Hyrule Times section. The only difference: We will post it every day.

We're presenting the answers spoiler-proof. How does it work? If you're interested in an answer to one of the questions, simply highlight the black space underneath (just like you would highlight something in a word processing program) to read the hidden text. If you have one of those pre-1950s browsers where this doesn't work, just print the page.

Tomorrow, we will answer another batch of questions, so send us your e-mails to: editors@ign64.com: Subject: Hyrule Times. On to the questions:

I can't open up the first spider web in the Tree at the beginning of the game. I tried jumping off the ledge above it. Is there some trick or something??? Please help?

Answer: You're stuck pretty early there... You need to climb up all the way to the top and run off the ledge. Now push forward slightly while in the air so that Link lands in the middle of the web. If you land at the edges, it won't break.

I just became adult Link so I went straight for the horse ranch and found out that you need to play a song to the girl at night which I didn't learn so I called up my friend and he knew the song. So I played it but it didn't work. Does this mean that I can't get the horse? Please tell me there is another way?

Answer: You need Malon's song to get the horse -- but you can't just ask your friend for the notes. Link has to actually learn the songs in the game. Don't worry, you can easily warp back in time if you go back into the Temple of Time and put the Master Sword back to where you found it. Then get your song from Malon and come back. In case Sheik doesn't let you put back your sword back yet, complete the next dungeon, then try again.

My husband and I cannot find the bracelet you need to lift the flower bombs/bomb flowers. It is supposed to be in the mountain and I was wondering if it had anything to do with the crack in the stone going into the mountain?

Answer: I'm not going to make it too easy for you, but I can tell you that the crack has nothing to do with the bracelet. Darunia has the bracelet, but he won't give it to you unless you make him feel a bit better. How about some music?

Once you become the adult in Zelda, is there any way to travel back in time to being a kid again?

Answer: Sure. Simply bring back the Master Sword to where you found it. Once you go back to the Temple of Time, Sheik will also give you a song that lets you warp back quickly.

I know you're tired of answering these, but those statues with the one-eyed gaze that pierces your mind, when I hit them a sword, they tell me the time. When I blow them up, they shoot into space. When I set them on fire, they stretch out real tall for a couple of seconds. Why do they do this?

Answer: It's just a little extra the programmers added to tease you. None of these reactions actually do anything. In order to unmask what the stones are all about, you need to get a certain item from the market.

What do I do with the blue chicken?

Answer: The blue chicken, Cojiro, can be traded for something else. Why don't you check out the Lost Woods for a familiar sleeping guy.

I've got the Odd Potion but I don't know whom to give it to. Help!

Answer: The carpenter's son may be gone, but how about giving it to the person standing in the same spot?

What do you do with the Poacher's Saw?

Answer: You give it to the carpenter near Gerudo Valley.

I've got two walls with spikes moving towards me. I can see undead people behind them, but I can't shoot them. I've tried nearly everything. What's the secret?

Answer: Din's Fire. The walls are made of wood and will burn.

Yikes! My cool new sword broke! Can you get it fixed?

Answer: No. You can buy a new one (expensive!) and avoid hitting hard surfaces such as stones, or you can search for a much better sword. It all starts with an egg.

What do you do with the bugs?

Answer: You can sell the bugs to the nut who likes to buy things or you can use them to uncover hidden spiders. Simply empty a bug bottle over a magic bean hole (soft soil spots with holes). If you're lucky, the bug will go into the hole and grow up to become a spider.

I can feel the damn Rumble Pak rumbling outside Goron City. Right on top of the circle of stones. But I can't find the hole. Do bombs not work on it?

Answer: No, they don't. Play the Song of Storms.

That's it for today, folks. Keep sending in your questions and look forward for another edition of the Hyrule Times tomorrow.
